The staff were always welcoming and helpful. Loved the character of the place. Breakfast was tasty. Liked the location as it was out of the main part of town but easy to get into whenever we wanted. The pools were cold but refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Hotel is old. Photos is not fair. It looks a lot more butiful on photos then it is in real. Restaurant has not so many different types of food. Breakfast is good.
It's perfect for those who prefer a quiet area, but not too far from popular tourist areas. The hotel may look old, but the facilities are quite complete. It's within budget. The staff are friendly. Breakfast doesn't have many options, but it tastes good.
I don't usually leave 5 stars but no doubt about this lovely place. Every positive comment in other reviews is true - staff, pools, ambience, comfort, breakfast. I was apprehensive after reading negative comments, but they sounded like nitpicking. They ARE nitpicking. If someone is looking for the Marriott then keep looking. This hotel is as relaxing and welcoming as it looks.
The location was okay, not far from the city, but there was construction going on in the street, and the area didn't look very clean. The hotel is old, and the rooms aren't very clean, and the bathroom was dirty. There are two swimming pools, which are fine. The pool furthest from the restaurant was warmer and cleaner. The hotel really needs renovation. Breakfast was fine, with plenty of choices.
Older style hotel, great service from all the staff, good value for money. I would recommend.

Beautiful and comfortable, located in the old town, making it very convenient for getting around and exploring. The hotel feels like a private museum with many valuable collections worth savoring. There are squirrels and birds in the trees, which is quite charming and fun. There are also many massage places nearby worth trying, all within walking distance. Plus, there's a fantastic local market that...
The hotel front desk has no service. Ten minutes after the check-out time, they kept urging me to check out. The tone was not good. The room was also old and the location was a bit remote. Fortunately, the hotel environment was good.
Beautiful perfect hotel!! We booked a room during the New Year's Eve, and decided to stay here for another week if we have the chance. The hotel is located in the south of the center of the old city, which is relatively convenient and quiet. There are not many rooms in the hotel, but the public area is large. It was sunset on the day of check-in. The extremely decorated study restaurant, the swimming...
I don’t like the rooms on the first floor. There are balconies on the second and third floors which are more comfortable.
Great, not to be missed, huge room, great taste of furniture. Balcony is very happy. The public area is beautiful. Breakfast is delicious. Very convenient area as soon as you go out
I have stayed in almost 10 hotels in Chiang Mai, and this one ranks among the top three. It can be said to be the first choice in the ancient city! I was fascinated by the golden leaves falling on the eaves with the wind, and the whole room was full of the owner's private collection. The location of the hotel is very friendly for shopping and eating, quiet in the bustling city, large rooms, balconies...

Mountain Bike friendly, comfortable and affordable hotel. Got mosque in walking distance, and then the food was everywhere and taste good. As a Muslim, kind of Muslim Street was just around the corner. If you are planning for Chiang Mai ride, then this is a suitable place for your headquarters, laid back and food hunting. Lots of night market during the night. Go to a local named 'TrailHead', kind...
Decent hotel that has seen better days. Hotel is in need of a lot of cosmestic maintenance and could use a good deep cleaning. But the rooms are ok and generally clean. Good location with a 5 minute walk to the night market. Breakfast buffet is ok but not great. Decent value.
Good venue for modest accommodation and sleep over. Very strategic location. A walking distance to food bazar, and sorrounded cafe, resto, bar, and stores.
The room environment is average in terms of style and cleanliness. The room that I stay in which was on the first floor, the bathroom was clean. Morning buffet are also serve with porridge, egg, fry rice, hotdog, and drink. The choice of drink are water, orange juice, coffee, and ovantin(hot coco I think). The food was good. It's even better than some of the night bazaar food that I have to pay a lot...
Very caring and honest staff. Lovely homely ambience. Clean, comfortable and great value. Hotel is centrally located with lots of eateries nearby. Will definitely recommend to everyone.
We rented 3 rooms and stayed here for the Songkran Festival. This hotel is conveniently situated between the Night Bazzar and Warorot Market, and is about a 10 minute walk from the The Phae Gate. During Songkran, it was a close walk to join the water activities, but we could retreat to the hotel when we wanted to take a break and dry off. The room was clean, not far from tourist attractions, conveniently located, and quiet.
I've never stayed in a 'four-star hotel' like this in all my years. This isn't an industry-certified star rating; it's just what Ctrip designated. There are no proper reception staff or bellboys like you'd find in a regular hotel, just one person manning the front desk. It feels more like someone's private home with a caretaker. Regardless, you only get one room card per room. If two of you are staying...
Location was good for me, not too far away from what I wanted to do. But it’s a bit difficult to get a grab bike/taxi from this area.
It's about a 40-minute walk from Nimman Road. The location is very quiet. There aren't many good restaurants nearby, but it's quite convenient to get around by taxi. A ride to the Old City costs less than 100 THB. The room was spacious and clean.
Excellent hotel, but located very far from the main attractions.
I stayed at Lani Chiang Mai Hotel for two nights and had a very pleasant experience. The location is great, easily accessible by car and very close to Maya Mall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. The only thing to keep in mind is that the main stairs to the lobby are quite high, which can be difficult if you have heavy luggage. Luckily, there is a side access...

The best value-for-money hotel in Chiang Mai! You need to pay a 500 baht deposit, but the front desk lady was super enthusiastic! The room was spacious, had a balcony, and the surroundings were very quiet! Most importantly, it was very clean!
I like that area in chiang mai better if you rent a motorbike to ride around chiang mai some tourist area little bit far. In the night not good to walk around. With breakfast including coffee, milk, congee etc
Room was good. A bit older but neat. Its a bit far from central,a vehicle is needed. Breakfast was only 1 option, one meal option for all. Good for people travelling through.
The rooms are quite spacious. Located on a university campus, it's very quiet, with the Business School right next door. There's also a supermarket conveniently located on the ground floor.
The hotel offers family-friendly rooms and is conveniently located on a university campus. The surroundings are lovely, and it's incredibly quiet at night. We particularly appreciated being able to walk directly from the campus to the night market opposite Chiang Mai University. Definitely great value for money.
Great location, clean rooms, and friendly staff. Everything was convenient and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very close to Maya Mall, making it convenient to travel around Nimman.
Its a cute and modern hotel. The room, bed and bathroom are cozy, clean and comfortable.  Breakfast was also good.  Pool and gym are small, but a good extra!
Great service, clean rooms, and a convenient location close to shopping. The breakfast was pretty good too.
The hotel is clean but please beware that there are mosquitoes in room. With this hotel price given, this is the standard service you receive. The air conditioner’s filter required to clean on our first night, unpleasant smell and cause my nose allergy, but the staff immediately resolved the issue after we raised this to her in the next morning. The room was clean, the only problem was the constant noise from the bathroom, a loud noise every few minutes, I don't know what it was, probably from the water heater.
Great relaxing place , very quite !
It's a bit far from the city center, but the facilities are complete, there's plenty of parking, the staff are friendly, and there's a swimming pool, TV, and refrigerator. However, the hotel doesn't have mountain views and there are quite a few rooms in several buildings.
The hotel is 20-30 minutes walking distance away from the Old City area. There are some, but not a big choice of restaurants in the area. You got to eat in Old City or at Kadmanee Market, which has a good variety of food stands and is open late. The staff in the hotel is friendly and helpful. They have recommended a good and cheap Thai massage place to me. The hotel provides bottled water in the room...
The rooms weren't large, and the pool was outside the restaurant, so you had to run out of the lobby to swim—a strange design. The hotel's location was terrible; it was too far from attractions, and there was a huge parking lot in front of the hotel, requiring a long walk to get around. Breakfast cost 100 pesos, and was sometimes good and sometimes bad.
swimming pool, gym, garden, free shuttle for air port, 100 baht breakfast... unbeatable offer for its good price.

I stayed for three nights, it was a great location. There were lots of cute cafes and shops around and I think it is perfect to explore the city.  The room was very clean and staff was very friendly.
Super clean, very nice hotel, and well-located just a few meters from Tha Phae Gate. The staff was very pleasant. Highly recommended.
Great location, very close to the ancient city with plenty of shops nearby. The room was a bit small and soundproofing wasn't the best, but it was set back from the main road, so overall it was still quite quiet.
The entrance was a bit narrow, but overall it was good. You can walk to Tha Phae Gate.
Helpful staff. Housekeeping made good efforts despite holiday season and guest turnover. Rooms was well appointed and bedding was comfortable. Had a good rest. Vegan restaurant nearby. Will consider for future stay/s.

The service is very good Food is nice and big value Really love this hotel
This was my second visit to Chiang Mai and my second time staying at this hotel. The staff is super nice, the hotel seems very old but the rooms are very hygienic! The kittens at the hotel were super cute and clingy and felt like they were home every time they went back to the hotel. It was a very nice stay, I would definitely stay at the same hotel when I go CNX again
Everything was great! The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive.
Friendly staff who always greet you when you come and leave the hotel. All drinks and snacks in your room are free. The hotel and room is clean and the location is good. Just outside the center so easy to find and everything is walkable from the hotel. The bathroom is a little small but everything you need is there. They should’ve have skip the bathtub and make the room and bathroom bigger.

Great room with comfortable chairs at the balcony. Spa was also great too!
Nice location next to River Ping. Comfortable stay and great service!
Everything is great except 2 things they need to improve: 1. Parking - I had to remove traffic cone to parked my car by myself, twice, despite it's very small street, 2 lanes so basically, if you get out of the car, you will block the traffic. 2. TV in the room disconnect from internet, every time it shut. I stay for 1 night but the TV doesnt connect to the internet (it's smart TV) every time I shut...
The staff is exceptionally friendly, the location is ideal for relaxation, and the breakfast is excellent.
Little far from the old city. However, Sala Lanna located nearer to Chinatown (walking distance over a bridge and Night Bazza. Room.booked faces the Ping river and we were given a choice for lotion and the type of pillow during check in which is pretty unique. Welcome fruits and a complimentary of a delicious fruity drink.
Love everything about this place 🫶🏼

A lovely local restaurant without any fancy frills — just good, honest food. The highlight was sitting at small tables right in the middle of a cool stream, dipping our feet in the water while we ate! The food was tasty and reasonably priced, and the service came with warm smiles. There’s also plenty of parking space. Con: toilets needs a bit of refurbishment
Very relaxing. This place has awesome local food, we enjoyed the fried fish with fried Thai herbs, it was delicious. Washed it down with 2 ice cold Leo's. Staying here for 9 nights and very happy with the hotel. Helpful staff, great room and breakfast is good. Lovely garden that goes down to the river and nice swimming pool. A little walk from the main town but worth the walk as it’s a more peaceful location.
We have block our room 3 to 4 mths ago n requested all 3 room to b on d ground floor. Booked for 2 K bed n 1 twin, upon arrival we were given 3 K bed and wasted 2 hours sourcing out the room we ask for. At the end 1 double was upgraded to deluxe room on the 3rd floor wich the hotel got no lift.
Hotel is nice (in terms of rooms, location and cleanliness) BUT service is very poor. 1. we were not even greeted at the reception for check in (and even less for check out); I almost felt I was bothering the team with my presence (when there were people at the reception, which was sometimes empty even during the day)... maybe understaffed, but this is something manager should take care of, but no...
I really liked this place! My deluxe room had a bathtub and a cute balcony. Loved the pool & the hotel cafe downstairs. Really friendly staff also. Very slightly run down but that actually made it feel more homely, like a cute apartment. Would absolutely stay here again. 😍😍😍
What I love about this hotel is location with good view of Ping River. The room is little dark and old. However I am ok comparing to the location. Breakfast is very good more varieties You must try the cake shop nearby the hotel very good coconut pie !! The hotel has very limited parking space around 5 cars

The hotel located near the airport n shopping areas n also a lot of massage shop with little princess The breakfast was great with a lot of variety.
The hotel is in Nimmin area which is very convenient to roam around. The service and room are good. The breakfast provides several options from cereal with milk to local northern food. However, the room looks a little older than what I saw in Trip and they don’t provide toothbrush and toothpaste which are quite inconvenient.
This hotel is located next to Manning Road and is a house with a pure Thai-style decor, which is quite charming. The rooms are clean and the service is good. The only thing is that for breakfast, you can only choose one of coffee, milk, or orange juice, which I don't quite understand. Everything else is pretty good.
This hotel turned out to be the best I stayed at during my ten-day trip. It's a two-bedroom apartment, allowing for privacy between guests. The facilities are a bit old, and while the second bedroom is bright, the master bedroom is quite dark, almost a bit spooky. The breakfast is rich, and everyone gets a free cup of coffee. The garden is beautiful. Overall, it's pretty good.
This is an excellent hotel with great value for money. The staff are very kind, and it's a peaceful and reassuring place. The rooms are clean and hygienic, making for a very comfortable sleep.
Delightful stay in Pingnakorn Nimman Hotel. Very to the Nimman square. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel was decorated in a way that preserves the traditional Thai flavour. The staff were friendly, all smiles and helpful. Overall it was a fantastic stay and experience.

It's fine. Very nice location, staff were mostly nice. The hotel looks very nice, but actually the rooms aren't that comfortable. They are really dark, not very private, the shower is a hole in the ground. Soundproofing does not exist, hope your neighbours are quiet. Not sure i would stay again.
Traveling as an older couple, we especially appreciated the breakfast. The facilities were very clean, and the soundproofing was excellent.
Friedly staff and nice location in central Chiang Mai, walkable distance to many restaurants and cafes, specially at night is more lively. The room has everything needed. Decent quality at this price. One thing to note that, the room isn’t soundproof. You can easily hear people walking and talking. The floor is made of wood so you will hear cracking sound. So far it was good for 1 night.
Owned by Chinese, the service was excellent. However, the breakfast was very limited. The location was convenient for getting everywhere.

The room was huge, very well presented with a view over the garden to the river. We were only staying one night and booked due to proximity to the airport. Staff wete pleasant and a decent breakfast
The hotel was very nice. The fruits for breakfast were delicious. The staff was accommodating, helping us with suggestions, getting us food a few minutes early. We didn’t use the pool but it looked very inviting.
Spacious room and nice location. Staff were friendly and always be of help. I like the breakfast choices. There is a cafe on the river bank serving coffee, tea, and bakery.
Maraya Hotel took such wonderful care of my elderly parents during their 2-week stay. The rooms were clean, bright, and comfortable, but what really made the difference was the amazing staff. This family-owned and managed hotel provides plenty of charm, cleanliness, and convenience. We only stay here when we visit Chiang Mai.
