Good location and friendly staff

The hotel is located on a lovely, quiet, and peaceful beach. Shops and cafes are within a 10-minute walk. However, the rooms themselves need renovation; the furniture is very worn, and all the plumbing is corroded. There are very few sun loungers on the beach, no more than 10, which isn't enough for all guests. I wish there were more.

The hotel is generally good. The location is excellent, right on the seashore, and the prices are low. There's a cafe where you can eat from morning until 9 p.m. The grounds are cleaned. Some cottages have air conditioning and a smart TV (very convenient). The Wi-Fi is excellent, even in the sea near the hotel. Cons: the rooms are basic and need some cosmetic renovations. During my last stay here, there was no remote control, no towels, no soap, and nothing was provided. I paid over 900 baht, which is expensive.

Other reviews stating that Malibu is way more dated than the pictures are very accurate. It was fine, not dirty, but just a bit old feeling on the inside of the rooms. I did get one beach towel with stains on it which was a bit gross and the beach chairs have seen better days as well. I stayed here last year and had another great experience. It’s low season, so only a few guests are around. This means that the breakfast offering is simple but it is fresh and well made (when it’s high season there are more guests, thus more choices at breakfast). Affordable resort in a central location on Lamai Beach

I initially only booked three nights at this hotel but ended up staying for nine. The cleaners do a fantastic job and all the staff are very polite. Excellent location for restaurants and shops. I would most definitely stay at this Hotel again.

This hotel choice was truly excellent! I booked two nights, one in a sea-view room and the other in a sea-view villa 🏠. I have to say, the rooms were actually better in person than in the hotel's promotional photos, which was a pleasant surprise! 👍🏼 The breakfast was good too, mostly à la carte, but the real highlight was the incredible view, which truly impressed me ✌️.

The view was absolutely stunning! We stayed in ocean view pool villa #28, and the mini-bar was generously stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. We ate all three meals at the hotel, and the prices were reasonable, plus the restaurant had a beautiful view. In the afternoon, there was also free afternoon tea by the public pool.

We had the pleasure of staying in the two-bedroom apartments at Samui Green twice. The friendly staff made our check-in process a breeze, and the spacious and easily accessible rooms made us feel right at home. It was truly a home away from home for us on both occasions!

There are not a lot of access points to the beach as far as we could see, but this hotel is close to one, which is awesome. The room was clean, the bedding and beds are comfortable and clean. Can book your trips through the hotel and have a normal breakfast at the restaurant right next door for an affordable price.

I heard online that the W Koh Samui is the worst, and I certainly experienced it firsthand. The facilities are outdated, and the front desk staff were just okay. When issues arose, they'd just make excuses, and even the managers couldn't resolve problems. You can really feel the internal management chaos. I wouldn't recommend it.

A good hotel right in the centre of Chaweng beach, there’s a lot of bars around and can get noisy but we had a room at the back near the pool and couldn’t hear anything from outside at night. The hotel was clean and had lots of good restaurants just along the street so was perfect for us

The villa I stayed in was very peaceful and although I understand that this is '"old" Thai style, I did feel that the furniture and fittings were somewhat outdated and if you are travelling around and not wanting or able to hang up clothes, there is hardly any room for a large suitcase to be kept open on the floor. Overall, it was pretty good, especially since it shares the same beach as the W. You can even walk right over from the beach. The only downside is that the ocean-view rooms barely offer a glimpse of the sea, which makes them not really worth the extra cost.

We had a great time at this hotel, quiet, away from noisy markets and pubs, the room was lovely and big. Anne had helped us with an upgrade of the pool room and Pink was extremly helpful to us to, to add topper to our bed and getting extra pillows. I would reccomend this hotel.
