Sharaya Boutique Hotel Patong in Patong

We met one of the brothers/ owners of issara and he was a great touch as he not only made us the best spicy margaritas, he also helped us choose some of the best dishes off the menu. The food was absolutely delicious and every dish was bang on - bang on in Bang Tao!

So, friends, here's the most honest review of the hotel. I'll start from the beginning. 1. The hotel is in a great location: everything is within walking distance of shops, a food and clothing market, and Patong Beach is a 10-minute walk away, as is Bangla Road. 2. I agree the hotel is a bit old and the furniture is dated, but in my room #309, the air conditioning worked well, the beds didn't creak, and there's some street noise from motorbikes, but if you close the balcony door tightly, you can't hear anything. 3. The rooms are cleaned well, but they should definitely post a brochure asking for them to clean up for you. 4. The staff is friendly and will always help and advise. Now the downsides: 1. I only had breakfast once and never went again because there was no choice. They gave me a 3-in-1 coffee, half a glass of lemonade, and a couple of small sandwiches, and that's it. To be honest, I've never seen anything like this anywhere (advice: go without breakfast; there's a market there and they have everything, you won't go hungry). 2. The pool isn't the freshest, you can just lie down and sunbathe. You can't take any drinks into the pool with you; if you do, a worker will immediately come running and ask you not to drink your own drinks but to buy them from him. And his selection is not large: 3 types of Thai beer, 2.3 types of diluted whiskey, and three types of cocktails. (The price at the pool for Chang or Leo beer is 0.33-100 baht, strange cocktails are 200 baht). 3. They never put a tea bag in the room, and they only put water in the coffee.
