Centara Kata Resort Phuket in Kata

It was a very pleasant time in this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the room was clean and there was everything we needed including mini-kitchen. The breakfast was good but I would add some hot porridge for children, there were only different kinds of muesli with the cold milk.

Our recent stay at Centara Kata Hotel was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure our family had a comfortable and memorable stay.

The hospitality was outstanding, and had the most wonderful experience. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway, especially if you have children. Thank you to all of the staff for making our family trip so amazing, we can’t wait to come back!

Really nice place to stay if visiting phuket. All the staff members are amazing, everyone very kind and they always made sure everything is ok. The hotel is at a nice location. Every staff member is amazing always helpful. The food is very lovely and we loved the staff there, especially coach and 6ift.

The staff are so nice and warm-welcome. I forgot the yean there and staff was very supportive. I’ll comeback.

Smart things like being able to use an app to order and iron, sundries amongst other things really makes it a great touch. Rooms are clean and the pools very well maintained.

Good location near Kata night market and walking street. There are three swimming pools and hours are reasonable. The room is clean although the facilities are outdated. There are no electrical outlets near any bed side. This is probably the least preferred Centara among all Centaras where we have stayed. The worst experience was breakfast. Not enough food as 50% food containers is empty. We asked the service people to fill them up. First, they responded to us to wait, then 30 minutes later, the containers were still empty. We at least asked three times within 30 minutes, finally, they admitted that they ran out of food, and we have up our breakfast. It would be very difficult for us to return to that particular Centara.

Family friendly hotel. Kids enjoyed the pools & playground. The room is spacious & clean. Breakfast is ok. My kids are very happy with this hotel.

The water pressure is a bit low, no lift and the staircase area has no cover.

Other than the two points mentioned above, everything else was great, especially very friendly for children.

I would stay here again on my next trip to Phuket

We had the absolute best time at Centara Kata, it totally exceeded our expectations. It’s a really lovely hotel, it feels way more upmarket than you would expect from the online pics (which honestly don’t do it justice). The location is great, lots of nearby shops and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Since we booked directly through their website, we got a better deal and we were upgraded to a family apartment with direct pool access, which was great. The pool was fantastic, with a huge slide, and a kids area, a volleyball net, we spent hours there. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of Asian and western options, eggs made on request, bacon, even smoked salmon (which costs a fortune here in Australia), lots of tasty pastries and even a separate kid breakfast area. The staff were fantastic, from the front desk, to the pool area, everyone was very helpful and professional, and just lovely. We were very impressed and are looking forward to coming back. We stayed at Centara Kata for 7 nights and had a fantastic experience. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a One Bedroom Suite, which offered plenty of space for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area—a great spot to relax.

The pool area was a hit with the kids, especially the waterslide, which kept them entertained for hours. The adults appreciated the swim-up bar and the daily happy hour at 4pm, which was a nice touch. One of the highlights of the stay was the Friday foam party—fun for both kids and adults, and a memorable experience for everyone.

The breakfast buffet was another standout. It was well-stocked with a wide variety of tasty options to suit all tastes, making for a great start to each day.

A special mention goes to the wonderful staff members Aoy, Wut, and Kla, who went out of their way to make our daughter’s birthday extra special on our final day by singing "Happy Birthday" and presenting her with a delicious cake. It was a thoughtful gesture that truly meant a lot to our family.

The only minor drawbacks were the shower temperature, which tended to fluctuate between cool and hot, and a stiff bathroom door that was a little tricky to close. However, these were small issues in what was otherwise a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We would definitely recommend Centara Kata to families looking for a fun, relaxing holiday with great service and amenities.
