Hotels near sea shore in Izmir

Lovely ambient non-intrusive music during the day with a live three piece band playing in the evening. Again we did not find the music intrusive. Staff were very professional and obliging

Basmane train station takes you right to the airport train station in approx half an hour then it is just up the escalator and turn right for a minute or so

Would definitely stay here again. An easy and flat 15 minute walk to train station and an easy flat walk to Konak pier and clock tower

I went back to this wonderful hotel, this time with my wife, and had a great stay.   Their breakfast is rather basic but the location and ambience is amazing

Initial thoughts were apprehensive as we walked through the fish market but as soon as we turned the corner there was no smell at all

the hotel is located in a good location, there are all kinds of luxury restaurants nearby, with very tasty food, furthermore you have all kinds of nice shops within walking distance and beautiful views of the sea and mountains

The service was great, and the location was convenient, just a hundred meters from the Aegean Sea.

we stayed in this hotel for 3 days, only to sleep. the room was clean, the bathroom was also very clean

When complained about this we were told to open the windows as the previous person might have smoked in the room. No resolution was given for broken toilet seat

We asked then ti change the room we were told that the hotel was full despite the fact that there were several rooms available online

But apart from that I wouldn’t recommend. Also no lift and we had 2 20kg bags which we had to carry up 4 floors

Right by the sea, but there is a wide main road that doesn't lead to the beach The restaurant has an unbeatable sea view and a rich breakfast

The highlight of my stay was the breathtaking view from my room. Overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea, the panorama was simply mesmerizing, especially during sunset

The hotel front desk was very helpful. She helped me contact the travel agency and the hotel for my next trip and never gave me a cold shoulder the whole time

So it becomes too hot or too cold. One credit to the staff is their flexibility and customer service. Since the air-conditioner in my room did not work, they helped to change our room immediately

The room on the fourth floor has a balcony and the view is very pleasant. It is very close to the beach and nearby bars and restaurants. Taiwan is on the map on the first floor

Lots of restaurants and bars just outside the hotel. My only complaint is the room to the door is quite thin and blocks little sound. With the elevator just outside my door, I could hear everyone walking past

The people at the front desk were SUPER helpful and accommodating. The room was great, only the bathroom was a tad cramped but I like the movement away from giant and tacky (Las Vegas) hotel rooms

Lovely small hotel, very clean, great location close to the promenade. Many restaurants and cafes around catering to all tastes. Pedestrian streets and laneways all around

The promenade along the sea front is around 10 minutes walk away. As a vegan I found I needed to walk up to the more touristy area for food, this took about 25 minutes

Getting there: I came via bus, I was able to catch the 302 from the main bus station, it took about 30 minutes and I was able to tap on with my bank card. There are metro stations walking distance

It is very easy to find and close to main roads. Location: This hotel is in Central Izmir, there is a Migros Jet (supermarket) about 5 minutes away and a multitude of take away places

The bathroom is really dirty and smells like mold after the shower. Otherwise, the staff is very nice and helpful, the location is good (the bazaar is on the other side of the road)

Good value for money. Centrally located with nice staff. Unfortunately it does need a renovation and the rooms are quite dirty, but for the price and a short stay it's good.

Location pretty disappointing, we came for a beach and sea holiday but unfortunately the only possibility to swim was quite far and stone beach. All in all nice hotel but remote from all sightseeing sites and beaches

Oh! Also, if you walk about 10 minutes, there’s a great sandy beach where it’s great to swim in the sea

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean and offered a stunning sea view that made each morning special. The inclusive breakfast was a real treat, with a diverse selection of delicious options

(If you ask nicely you can get a staff member to take you into Konak for about half the price of a taxi - but I didn’t tell you that ;-) ) The breakfast is included, and is pretty basic, but the chef will make you up anything you need; which is handy as I’ve had dental implants, so can only eat soft food

I was given Lizbon Hotel as an alternative, but I’m so glad to be here! The staff are great. They’re very friendly and helpful. We have a double bed with a single, which is great as I’m staying with my daughter

So soup and scrambled eggs work for me. I imagine I’ll have to pay extra for this though, so might have to edit this review at the end of my stay. Overall though, I highly recommend this hotel

Nice hotel, quite old but cleanliness was ok. Location is good and breakfast was very nice. If you have a car they help you park it right next to the hotel.

the images in hotel's page are accurate! It's exactly what we saw there! There is no breakfast option, however in just 20 meters there is a great bakery and also a store with fruits with good prices and excellent quality

The hotel is very small and has no space, in general. No reception (just a small desk), dark small stairs. not a very good lighting in corridors! It is, what it is. but it's quite! The hotel was very quiet in general

I stayed in Hotel Balca during my visit to Izmir. The room had everything that I needed, making my stay very comfortable. The place was nice, clean, and quiet, nestled among cafes, bars, and great restaurants

A nice, basic hotel room, with all necessities. Staff was extremely helpful, providing great help in finding and getting to locations in the city we needed to visit

When we gave our keys back we had to wait 7 hours for our next bus to come, and they let us stay in their waiting room the entire time. The lady also noticed we were slightly sick, and brought us warm tea and food

The only choice with two bed rooms is this area. Arrived late 3am, but the room we reserved was busy, so we've been proposed with 1 big bed room. Not acceptable for two males, but everything else is busy

Very close to Izmir main railway station. Plenty of places to eat etc very close by. About 20 minutes walk to the seafront. Good to see dispensers for handsoap, shower gel and shampoo

Like for the price paid, I do feel that the room was decent, the beds were comfortable and the whole check in and check out process was OK! Like the staff English wasn't that good but google translate does the job

The staff was also nice and tried to help me with any problems. The best part was that it was close to all the important places. A minor issue was that the tap in my room had a slightly low water flow

I chose it because it was the cheapest hotel. I thought it was good for the price. They gave me a room with a double bed. I had a good rest for two days. My room was cool, and I was satisfied

The room is not really big but enough for solo traveler, maybe because the bed is quite big. It looks like old hotel but still good for money. I like the staff are so kind and helpful.

Perhaps this hotel it's a hit and miss type but for me I think it's fine! Do check out the pictures for single room

My room had such a beautiful view and was very comfortable. The location is a short walk to the museum, shops, and port. I hope to stay at Variante again soon
