I recently stayed at Nisantasi residence and overall had a pleasant experience. The location of the residence was absolutely perfect, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. The service provided by the staff was also excellent - they were friendly, helpful, especially Mr Abdullah and Mr, Naheem and always willing to assist with any requests However, I was a bit disappointed...

The person on reception Abdullah was very supportive and guided a lot for the trip. He provided 5 start service and very professional that made our stay very nice. Thank you, Abdullah, for your continuous response and help beyond your job role to reserve things that we asked from you. Miss Meyar Semah was also supportive and kept the apartment very clean all the time.

Decent place for the price you pay. Apartment is clean and spacious. Management is helpful. We stayed in the ground floor/ basement suite which was good enough for a family of 6 adults and 2 children. However, the staircase is definitely dangerous for the kids. Location is central and neighbourhood is safe but streets are extremely narrow.

Although we couldn't stay in this residence as there was a problem In the booking and couldn't complete it but the guy there was very very very polite and helpful ( I am not sure of his name) he offered us another apartment in better place and bigger with special price.. And even he helped us to find another property to stay. The only thing that the way to reach this residence was not easy.

The big difference for being rated 5star is Mr Abdullah the care taker staff. He is tremendous in caring and giuding guests. Its aFamily residence and provided with all facilities.

Excellent hotel for the money. Huge room with 2 rooms and 2 balconies. There is a built-in kitchen, dishes, ironing board, iron, tea set. Everywhere is clean and tidy. I looked at a large number of hotels in the Istiklal Street area, all offer tiny rooms for about the same money. Therefore, I recommend this hotel to everyone. Despite the lack of breakfast, we did not regret it at all

The room is very quiet, spacious, and has complete infrastructure. The butler service is very good and helped us communicate with the Turkish driver who doesn't speak English very well. It is the best hotel I have stayed in Türkiye.

I stayed here for my graduation trip. I don't think it's easy to find accommodation so close to major tourist spots at this price. The hotel staff and other guests were all very kind, and it was a great trip! A hair dryer, air conditioning, towels, shampoo, and soap were all provided. Everything was provided, so I didn't need to bring anything from Japan. Toothbrushes and conditioners were not provided...

Nice in the city but not lift for going up

I arrived to Istanbul and stayed at Sur Hotel. It was a fabulous experience from when I walked through the door and greeted by a young man named Royal. The room was excellent, very clean great hot water and equipped with a kettle and mini fridge . I enjoyed my stay that I extended it a month. It is a great place to stay on istaqlal with the rooms that have a kitchenette and lots of wardrobes. There is no breakfast facility however.

What a great place to stay! So close to Blue Mosque and awesome dinner at Turguet (reaaonable and walkable)with night view of Mosque. Arranged shuttle from airport through hotel. Excellent location, only a few minutes walk from sultanahmet. Easy access to Istanbul via trams. Comfortable rooms, amazing view from top level. Be aware there are no lifts though. A historical but renovated facility on Gümüşsuyu Street, very close to Taksim Square, the staff was accessible, the rooms were spacious and clean. You can reach the square with a 2-minute walk, you can take public transportation or go to İstiklal Street. Free water, coffee and tea are available in the room. Noticed this hotel while waiting for a friend at Şişhane metro, to go to Art İstanbul at Kasımpaşa. Good location - close to Taksim, Golden Horn and public transport hubs. I'm not sure if it's open as it looked as if restoration is ongoing and there was no one at the ground floor, including reception.

Location was terrific, close to metro. Up on hill with beautiful view from room and rooftop. staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. We had large room with two large beds. It is located in a good location, it is a clean hotel, the bad side is that it is very noisy at night, if you want to relax it is almost impossible :( When you go to the hotel after shopping, there should be a quiet environment, but it really wasn't here. We stayed at the hotel in October 2025. The room was large and in decent condition. The main drawback is the street noise at night. It feels like you're sleeping with the windows open on a busy street. The hotel needs to replace the windows with new ones that fit tightly. The uncomfortable spring mattress also needs to be replaced. Breakfast seems plentiful if you're used to salads, vegetables, pickles...

Ok room. What you’d expect. Terrible sould isolation to the room, woke up everytime someone walked or talked in the hallway outside. The curtains were also way too short.

Hotel wasn’t bad, but clearly missing a few standard things like coffee machine or water boiler. The room was stinking smoke and they were kind to change us when we asked. Fairly renovated. Shower was bad, leaked water all over the bathroom and have to wait for 10 min to get hot water. Staff were kind and friendly so overall 4 of 5.

The hotel isn't far from Taksim Square, but it's uphill, and dragging my luggage uphill when checking out was exhausting. The service from the foreign staff wasn't great; if this were in my home country, they would definitely offer luggage assistance. They call it a hotel, but it's really more of a guesthouse.
