Overall, it is a really great place to stay! However, we booked half-board, and the processes for allergies were not good enough! The hotel restaurant is a buffet and has signs next to the dishes

Free shuttle bus from 8am, outdoor pool while it’s snowing was a cherry on top. Food was well spiced and always very tasty. The real honey for breakfast, fresh pancakes, omelettes

However, the allergy information on the signs was wrong. We were informed that this was because the chefs cook fresh / unique fishes every night, and so the allergy information changes every day

The rooms are very spacious, and the spa facilities were excellent. We enjoyed the delicious food and the nice lounge area, perfectly situated next to the kids' playground. It was ideal for a couple of retreat days

One of the best complexes in Bansko.

Beautiful hotel, a little further out from the Gondola but the shuttle bus service is spot on. It’s a short which is actually quite nice on the legs after a full day of skiing

The rooms were good and clean, the Spa was great, the treatments we had were profesional, the food was good with a large variety and most of all the staff was very obliging and helpful always smiling and kind

Taking snowboard lessons here was an incredible experience. It was my first time snowboarding, and I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but the instructor made everything so easy to understand

We loved the Kempinski! The spa was exceptional with every room you could think of (multiple different saunas, steam rooms, snow room, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, shower experiences, relaxation rooms and pools) and the restaurant food was lovely with different themes each night (Saturday Italian, Sunday Bulgarian, Monday Alps, Tuesday Asian etc)

The best part of staying at the Kempinski is the VIP pass - if you are skiing during school holidays this is a must! Gondola queues have been between 2-3 hours a day and with VIP we have gone straight through-it’s worth a stay in the hotel for this alone! And the price was not much more than the normal pass price at about €75 per days for adults (less for children 11 and under)

One of the best hotels in Bansko. The location is superb, rooms are spacious and well equipped with all kinds of amenities. The staff and the overall service are exceptional. The spa and the restaurants are excellent.

I had a spacious 2-room suite with an additional room, both with a view of the small town. The new furnishings in these two rooms were good. However, even this 3-year-old room was already showing very clear signs of wear

There was also no turndown service which is strange for Kempinski or any luxury hotel chain. On the positive side, the spa is excellent and the hotel has a great atmosphere

The hotel also provides a free shuttle van to Bansko, which was extremely convenient. The driver was excellent, professional, and always punctual. The food was outstanding — fresh, tasty, and well-prepared every day

We arrived by mistake 15 min earlier to openi g time of the restaurant for dinner and again you will almost get killed at the beginning. Later they calm down as I apologized

We are a family of 2 and spent 5 days at this hotel in early January. We booked a studio and a family of friends with 2 kids booked an apartment. The first impression was nice, as the lobby looks amazing

Overrool friendliness of staff very poor no all there are some willing to help but some as I mention they will kick you out just not to border them with any questions

Transport to gondola be carfull they drop you on one place and you have to reed the small letters that there is different pick up point to go back to hotel

I think the mentality of the staff is same as it was in the 90th no matter they progress in EU hospitality is stuck in somw post Bulgarian Era

But once we got to the rooms we were unpleasantly surprised, as they don't look like in the pictures. The bathroom is extremely small and very far away from a 4-star rating

We stayed half board and found both the breakfast and dinners to be good quality home cooked food, with a nice selection of meats, vegetables, salads and desert

The Hamam and Sauna were good, but again they were working only during the weekend, on Monday they were not. 3 euros for small beer?! C'mon

The breakfast was amazing, the location a 5 minute walk to the gondola, the pool is open in limited hours (its not that great either). It wasn't a good and relaxing experience for us we can't recommend staying there

The food served as part of half board breakfast and evening meal was a buffet, I cannot fault the food as this was actually very nice and there was a different theme for the buffet each night for the evening meal, however breakfast remained the same each time but was to a good standard

The ski instructor taught my children to ski and was very good with them. The leisure centre with pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna was great for the whole family after a day on the slopes

We had previously read reviews about being wrongfully charged for the minibar but this was not the case for us, we left a note for the cleaner to say we were not taking items but using the fridge for storage

The room had a small dining table with chairs, and small kitchenette, although the hob is disconnected, there is also a sink and fridge. We did use the fridge for storage for some groceries

The room also had a large wet room with skylight with a view of the mountains. The bathroom also had a couple of amenities such as shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and shower cap

The gym is compact but there is enough in there for a workout if you want to. The bar has a good pool table and some comfy seats if you want a chilled put evening away from the bars in town

Very good hotel. The stuff is amazing. They have a driver that took us every morning to the gondola and back to the hotel after the ski. There ara two saunas and hot swimming pool.

The food is excellent! and breakfast is laid out till late, as is supper: so no need to get up early or rush back to the hotel. 10/10 would definitely come again

This is a picture from the pool in Chateau Vaptzarov. The place also has a gym and spa. The food is also good, especially the breakfast where you have a lot of different kinds of food at your disposal

The chap on reception was very helpful, going the extra mile by liaising with the local airport transfer provider as there was an issue with my booking (which I'd made direct, not through hotel)

Great hotel that's perfectly placed between the old town and gondola. We had one of the junior suites and the sofa bed was probably the most comfortable one I'd ever slept on

Found it by pure chance, a real jewel in Bansko! It is cozy, contemporary, very light and offers big and comfy rooms with very good bedding!! The staff however make it the perfect place for a relaxing and care free get away !! A big thank you as you were so welcoming, kind, helpful, going the extra mile to ensure we fully enjoyed our stay and were totally spoiled !! We will definitely come back !!...

The negative the hotel is in need of a little tlc just a tiny bit for example the back was missing off the remote control for TV the heating seemed to be permanently on as the thermostat had buttons missing the room was clean and tidy unless you looked under the bed and the mirrors in the bathroom were corroded all very minor issues but together don't give the best impression

I booked my first ever skiing holiday here and was trying to keep things as cheap as possible and this hotel actually surprised me how good it was and I have a lot of positives and a few negative the price was amazing the location is literally perfect with a very short walk

The drinks here are very very cheap at under €3 a pint if I was the manager I'd add a euro to the beer price and buy some bathroom mirrors would I stay here again yes without a doubt as it location is perfect with such a short walk to gondola
