Sofia, 83a Bulgaria Boulevard (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
We stayed for two nights and found the hotel very comfortable, clean and convenient. Our rooms were upgraded upon arrival and we enjoyed the extra space, contemporary design and modern facilities. The rooms were very clean, bed very comfortable and shower was great. We came by car and the hotel has a private parking right by the entrance which was very handy. The hotel is located in a nice quiet...
The room was clean, the breakfast was good, and the facilities were complete, but the hot water took a while to come and you had to wait.
Good hotel, clean rooms and good restaurant services. Very good breakfast, overal a good quality Mercure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ During my stay at Mercure Hotel Sofia City, the real highlight was the service provided by Manager Valeria. She was truly outstanding, always welcoming with a big smile, attentive, and incredibly professional. Every inquiry I had was addressed with care, and any issue was solved quickly and in the best possible way. Her customer-oriented approach and genuine friendliness made a huge difference...
Nice hotel.
Very new and comfortable hotel.
Slept so well spotlessly clean.
Parkink space is very limited.
Really nice hotel and breakfast options. Stayed 2 nights from 23 to 25 June on a business trip. Would have given 'excellent' rating but my room at 6th floor was modern, clean, spacious and good working area but spoilt by the glass french widow/door to the terrace not having a blackout curtain or blind so the sunlight would completely flood the room as early as just after 5:00am forcing me to wake...

The hotel is right on the main highway. So very convenient if you are transiting through Sofia. The reception is perfect and helpful! Good parking space. The morning breakfast needs improvement.
The hotel needs a renovation. Elevators missing a button, noise isolation really inexistent, coffee machine broken during breakfast... And the best .. 1 hour blackout without electricity... Near my office but not worth
I stayed overnight in Expo. It was close to the airport and three stops away on the Yellow Line metro for the Top Renta Car depot where I hired a car. Location was convenient for my needs.
I was let down with the airport pick up, but hotel reception told me to take a taxi from Terminal 2 at the airport and they would pay. This happened but apparently via a voucher system.
The hotel was clean and...
The rooms are very decent. The food was good. The only thing I did not like was that you have to slam the door hard in order to open it and that makes a lot of noise all around the floor.
The hotel is big & has the usual facilities but is very quiet & has a depressing vibe maybe because of the older look. The rooms are big but lack a fresh feel. It needs some renovating. You can easily see the signs of fixes done on the room & a few things need more fixing still.
There's no view whatsoever. One can see Vitosha mountain in the distance, but it's obscured by other buildings. There's nothing...
Very close to the airport with a shuttle service. Comfortable, big rooms with all facilities, sauna and fitness free for the clients. Delicios and creative desserts at the restaurant, with kind and quick service. Personalised and polite attention at reception, thanks to Lubo & Valq.
Highly recommended.

A somewhat old building
It was a bit difficult to find after getting off the subway
Breakfast was good
There were too many picture frames hanging everywhere, so it was distracting
Nice hotel, large quiet rooms. Breakfast fine but certainly not lavish. They charge you to use the sauna which for a 5 star hotel is a bit cheeky
The hotel is fine. The rooms are very spacious and decked out, some historian site are prety close
The hotel is fine. The rooms are very spacious and decked out, but there are no outlets near the beds and no toiletries were provided in the bathroom. The handle in my bath tub came off the wall as soon as I touched it which is really dangerous. I tried to tell the front desk but they didn't seem to understand the issue. The location is not terrible, but definitely a good 20 minutes walk from the main...
Location was good. Rooms were clean and large. Staff was helpful . Thank you ..........
A very unique hotel! I really enjoyed my stay here and would book again! There is beautiful abstract art covering most walls and all empty space is filled with sculptures. Never seen a hotel like it! Great service, lovely location, nice rooms, nice amenities too. Parking on site too (paid).

Sofia, 75 D R Gm Dimitrov Bvld (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The amenities are great with some weird kinks. For example - the light switch for the bathrooms is behind the door on the outside of the bathroom so if you open the door you can't effectively reach for the light. You have to turn the light on before opening the door. The bath tub is incredibly high. If you have weak knees or osteoporosis or arthritis, getting over the tub wall to use the shower is...
It's a typical, old-fashioned European hotel. It's relatively clean and tidy inside, but it can't compare to the ones in China.
Otherwise, there's nothing special. This is a relatively centrally located hotel, but that's the norm in Eastern European cities.
The rooms are clean and cosy. The air conditioning was weak and noisy, the extra bed was not comfortable. The service in the restaurant was excellent.
Very nice hotel good breakfast location is a little far from centre but only 14 lev in a taxi
Excelent accomodation, especially the beds are very confortable.
Professional and friendly staff.
Good food and fast cleaning.
Felt like home and will return with the first occasion !
We booked in Vega because it’s near a lot of consulates (which was our reason of the trip), so it was very convenient! The breakfast was amazing, simple but very good! Enjoyed every bite. The room was very clean and spacious, had complementary teas and coffee. The view was beautiful! In general, simple but nice hotel!

We were a little apprehensive before staying here as the reviews were quite mixed, but honestly we can’t understand why this hotel has been reviewed badly in the past — our experience was fantastic.
The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was a little warm when we arrived, but opening the window quickly sorted that out. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was excellent...
Basic in every sense of the word! Tiny rooms, average service and how dare you market it as an airport hotel when one needs a taxi to get to the airport?🤔🤷♂️🤦♂️ #whatajoke
One of the positives is a front desk employee by the name of Bobby. He's extremely friendly, incredibly professional and an all-round super guy! Ibis Sofia Airport Hotel is very lucky to have him working for them.
The other positive...
Great option to stay a night after or before the flight, I've done it multiple times.
Free shuttle to the hotel (and from it), you just call the driver (English speaking) and he's there for you in 3 min. Good restaurant! If you leave early morning before the breakfast starts they prepare a takeaway breakfast, I think its really cute and thoughtful. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable, decent shampoo...
I stayed at this hotel recently and while the location is great close to the airport with a convenient shuttle - there were several letdowns. The rooms were not completely clean, with noticeable dust and unkempt areas. The service also wasn’t up to par; staff didn’t seem particularly helpful or attentive. On the positive side, the food was good, but it was pricey for what you got. Overall, while the...
Convenient for an early flight. This is a standard ibis with clean, functional rooms and straightforward service. Nothing remarkable, but the location—just 10 minutes on foot from Terminal 1—makes it a practical choice if you have a morning flight.
Great experience from the moment I booked the room from the hotel's website. Staff was polite, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The free airport shuttle was very convenient and got me to the airport on time for a very early flight. Breakfast to go was an apple and a ham and cheese sandwich, delicious and fresh. Would definitely recommend!

Very Disappointing Service – Not Worth the Price
I recently stayed at Hotel COOP Sofia and had an unpleasant experience with one of the receptionists, Mariana. When I called the reception to request some ice for my room, she informed me ,in a rather rude tone ! The room is spacious and in a great location. It's right in the city center, making it convenient to go anywhere.
The rooms are quite big and comfortable. It is very clean and there are a lot of hygiene and cosmetic products in the bathroom. Breakfast is good and there is very good coffee. When I will visit Sofia again, I will choose the same hotel.
Avoid the breakfast! It was by far the worst we had in the entirity of Bulgaria and certainly isn't worth its money. You got bakeries all around for that. The rooms were OK, although could use some maintanence. The showerhead was broken in a way that half of the water came out its back.

I stayed here four nights and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The hotel is an older, classy, clean, establishment with spacious rooms, a wonderful breakfast buffet with numerous choices, as well as coffee’s, cappuccino, espresso. Although the hotel is older, it remains luxurious and clean; the location is excellent, convenient for getting around; the breakfast is also very good and runs for a long time; I would choose it again next time.
Hotel is well located. Breakfast is weak. It definitely doesn't have the services expected of a 4-star hotel.
The definition of the perfect location. Metro line with connection to the airport just 4 minutes away. Every attraction is just within 5 to 12 minutes walking range. Literally. So basically, Sofia is on your feet.
The employees were always there to help you with anything you might ask. Clean room with a nice comfy bed, king size, they said, a comfy double bed, I say.
Nice buffet for breakfast with...
The location is OK, convenient for travel
Facilities: average
Hygiene: It feels a bit shabby compared to other hotels, the sheets are not very comfortable to sleep on, and the mattress is average
Environment: average, simple decoration
Service: normal
The hotel has quite a good location, close to the city center on the pedestrian street. The rooms are quite old and mattresses are quite bad, but everything is clean. The weirdest thing that this hotel is enforce you to leave the keys on the reception. Basically they asked you to do it when you are passing by the reception desk. It's very annoying.

A fair hotel overall. Our room had a noticeable sewage smell, and although there was no availability to change rooms on the first night, the issue was resolved the following day. I stayed there for a short vacation with my daughters. The rooms are all well equipped and beautifully decorated. The hotel offers an indoor swimming pool (for which one requires a swimming cap), a sauna, a steam room and massage services. The breakfast options are varied and the restaurant is also very nicely decorated and elegant. Loved it here!
Location is a bit out of the centre but some may like it that way.
Rooms are nice and fresh. WiFi works great. Pool and sauna are spacious. Be aware that there are swimming lessons conducted so it might be almost fully occupied ( only one lane available for hotel guests).

Dated hotel with hard beds. Excellent staff, great free breakfast. Restaurant staff are friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant is wonderful..
It was overall satisfying. The room was pretty big and bed too. Breakfast is not very good and we were practically kicked out around 10. Other than that it was nice and pool is very nice if you have time.
Positiv: ➕
- spacious rooms
- cozy beds
- nice play area for the kids (8 leva per hour)
Negativ: ➖
- unfriendly staff (especially at the restaurant area)
- breakfast is very limited, no butter just margarine and bread is uuurgh but the coffee is good and its cheap (10 leva per person - kids are free)
- pool area closes at 7.00 pm.
- outdated furniture
- every morning there was a harsh smoking odor...

Very cozy, great staff and location. Recommend
The room was average cleanliness. The cleaning staff didn't check thoroughly, leaving the previous occupant's used towel hanging behind the door. The kettle wasn't emptied either. A lovely little hotel in the heart of Sofia. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. It is in a good location next to Vitosha Boulevard. Highly recommend.
Was nice overall, was too hot in the room without cooling ac (only heating)
And a lot of noise from the street
In general, the hotel is very good, close to Vitosha blvd and city center and clean, Standard Double Room is spacious enough
The continental breakfast is sufficent but is served in the lobby and it is very weird, also it is overpriced to my opinion (15 Euro/person)
Hot water in the rooms on the higher floors starts after several minutes of waiting after opening the handle of the faucet
I would rate...
Seamless, clean, and helpful staff. We were very satisfied.
Location - winner!
Small room. Best the bed is relatively large.
The bathroom equipment is relatively outdated.
Breakfast is quite basic and did not change in all 5 days we were there.

Good location and easy access public transport. Most city attractions are within walking distance.
The concierge was very polite and pleasant. The room itself is large. But they need to replace the cleaning staff. They don't clean. Hair in the bathroom, stains on the doors... There was an unpleasant smell in the restroom... but the bed was clean and the linens were fresh 😌 I didn't take photos because I didn't have time... I stayed there for a couple of hours.
The location couldn't be better. The facilities are a bit old, but they have everything you need. There's a large balcony, and I quite like this Eastern European style from the last century.

The room was clean, spacious, and odorless, making it a pretty good hotel in Bulgaria. The only downside was the limited breakfast selection, although they did have freshly fried sunny-side-up eggs. I prioritize the accommodation environment; a filling breakfast is fine.
This is a new hotel with private parking. The decor is simple yet stylish, and the atmosphere is vibrant from the moment you step inside. I checked in on Friday night and enjoyed a three-course dinner with local wines at the restaurant. The restaurant has an open kitchen, is very clean and spacious, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and energetic. This was my first hotel stay in Bulgaria,...
Room was spacious and clean, was a bit hot and dense inside. Bathroom was neat. Staff was friendly but you only get 2 coffees in your room during your stay.

The rooftop area offers a chic experience and it has a cool, chill vibe. Great merchandise also! Worth a visit either for a drink on the rooftop, to spend a night in the hotel or to try their food.

Bokked this hotel multiple times, and have never been disappointed, nor have I been particularly impressed.
In general cleanliness is ok, although that time,.some rust in the bathroom snd black marks on the wall near the bed gave some bad taste.
I guess it's because.some rooms have not yet been res
Freshes, while many others have.
Overall ok for price.
Good hotel , friendly staff. Easy transportation.
Location is ok, receptionist was polite and helpful. Room and sheets were clean, the only problem is the property needs update.
Room is clean, but quite small. The shower area in bathroom has only partition without a door. There is no toiletries, no kettle and welcome coffee/tea. No refrigerator.
We have our breakfast in the hotel. No halal meat, thus we just have our coffee, bread, and fruit.
Lovely hotel, we have stayed many times but on this occasion they had no breakfast facilities on as the restaurant was closed.
Although they have a vending machine near reception the coffee wasn't up to much and there wasn't any kettle available to use although they did say they would give us boiled water if we asked.
