The room was average cleanliness. The cleaning staff didn't check thoroughly, leaving the previous occupant's used towel hanging behind the door. The kettle wasn't emptied either. However, the front desk staff and the room itself were excellent. The cathedral is within a 5-minute walk. A boutique coffee shop and a DM are a 3-minute walk away. A taxi to the airport is 20 levies. I'd stay there again...

The hotel was nice, but there was no hot water at night, so I couldn't shower. I told the receptionist in the morning that there was no hot water, and they fixed it.

The location is good and the people from reception are cooperative. The hotel itself is old and although the rooms and common areas are clean, it's obvious that everything around is in need of a massive renovation. The jacuzzi was not working, they said one of the guests broke it. I'm not sure why the hotel is 4 stars. Other then that it's close to some nice locations (with a car), it's clean, quiet, you can get a nice massage that costs extra, but it's worth it, it's pet friendly as well.

Small boutique hotel not too far outside the city centre, 10-15 minutes walk away. Our room was small but looked new and are very clean, extremely comfortable bed. This isn't our first time staying here. It's a fairly comfortable hotel. However, during our last visit, there were no face towels in the room, and the kitchen had very few appliances. There was a stove, but no pots or pans. It's a shame there wasn't a microwave.

This a great place for your rest, since they have really wide range of options for saunas, pools, infrared sauna room and etc. The staff is amazing! Extremely polite and very hasty! One downside is that some of the saunas were not working which was odd since I going there like every other week, and some of them are not working more than a month. First time at Sophia and this is our hotel. Managed to get an awesome deal on a huge room with a great view and spa treatments included. All the sunas are working pretty great, the massage cost extra, but I didn't get the chance to try it. The only minus is that the gym and hot tub was under renovations. Love this little boutique hotel. Room was clean and with beautiful paintings. It is Close to metro station as well as bus and train stations. The lady at the reception Christina is very sweet and attentive. She got me boiled water the first night we arrived because tap water is not drinkable in Sofia. The hotel doesn’t provide bottled water in the room or a kettle. All and all we enjoyed our stay.
