Aquitaine, Biarritz, 21 Ter Avenue Edouard VII 🧭 Map
We had such a good time at Victoria Surf! The building is in a great location, close to the beach and town centre. The room was comfortable and clean and we had the best time there. Laura in reception is so helpful and kind, she gave us instructions for parking and stocked up our coffee machine. She was very welcoming and helped us with all of our questions!! I stupidly left my IPAD in my room and...
Stayed for 3 nights Thursday to Sunday in June. Apartment was nice but no air con which was an issue due to temperature and had to keep window open at night for cooler air, so had trouble sleeping due to noise from outside (club was nearby)
Everything included in apartment - coffee machine, kettle, toaster, fridge and full oven and hob with all utensils and cutlery etc.
The floor we were on (first...
The area is amazing. The apartment was nice but on the street side so very loud. You need to keep door open though cause it would get hot and there was no fan. There was construction going on so that got loud at around 9:15 in the morning. The elevators were very frustrating. The management company staff was really nice though.
Nice accommodations. They have rooms looking at the sea. The rooms are functional and simple. mine did not have air conditioning but it was fine. Sunsets are gorgeous here.

Great location in the middle of the Chartrons district, perfect base for exploring the city. Room was clean and had everything that we needed. Reception and check in/out was easy and handy having a 2pm check in time on the arrival day. I would stay again if visiting and recommend to others.
An excellent location and very helpful staff
Nice stay
The hotel is nice and clean but most of all, it’s walking distance from the city center.
The receptionist was really friendly
Budget stay in a great location
The hotel is situated on a street of cafes and shops and it is easy to find. It is equidistant between stops for the B and C trams and also near bus stops. On arriva in Bordeaux, I walked from St Jean train station and it was a pleasant 45 min stroll along the river.
The economy double was small but more than adequate for a one night stay. The bed was very comfortable...
If you come by car, the hotel is just a few metres from an underground car park. Really convenient. Breakfast was copious and varied and rooms were well appointed. The building which is on a vibrant, trendy street has an historic feel. Would definitely go back.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy hotel in France! The room was very nice, with a beautiful terrace and super comfortable beds. It felt peaceful and charming — perfect for relaxing.
The only small drawback was that there wasn’t any hand soap provided in the room.
The french lady at the hotel was very lovely, and although she (and most people in town) didn’t speak much English, it made my trip even...
Fantastic location close to everything you need. Lots of restaurants and shops. The beach is a short 10 min walk away. The man at reception was absolutely lovely, so friendly and helpful. They offer beach towels too which is a bonus for the beach.
The room was ok at first, a bit tight with space but that didn’t bother us. Basic bathroom, good shower. Unfortunately the noise was pretty horrendous....
Location is very good. 5minites walking takes center of city.
Hotel is cute, very well located, and small room but convenient - AC working fine, and beds are very comfortable - The breakfast is super nice, with local products and fresh crispy croissants and pains au chocolat from the nearby bakery - really enjoyed my stay!
Incredible location, super central, close to the beaches and everything you need to see visiting Biarritz! There is a grocery store across the street that is open until around 9pm, which was super convenient. surrounded by cafes and cute shops! Air conditioner worked great and changed temperature fast, which was really nice after a long hot day at the beach! Clean, friendly and helpful staff, and they...
We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The hostess at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great - much more than I was expecting. Room was a little tight, but the terrace more than made up for it. Location was convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a great location, just a few minutes' walk from the beach and easily accessible by bus from the train station. The owners were very welcoming and lively, recommending many restaurants and places to visit. For an older building, the rooms were well-decorated and clean. I especially loved sitting on the small balcony, drinking tea and watching the street view. Overall, in Biarritz, a place...
If you’re coming to Biarritz looking for a little slice of that languid Basque magic, forget the big, sterile hotels with their perfumed lobbies and indifferent staff. Go find Sylvie at Ama Hotel. She’s the kind of host who doesn’t just hand you a room key she hands you the keys to the city. Sylvie knows Biarritz the way a seasoned bartender knows his regulars: every tide pool, every back alley, every...
Lovely boutique hotel right in the centre of Biarritz. Room was very comfortable and quiet.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly, even provided excellent advice on where to visit and eat out.
A lovely cosy hotel in great location. Friendly staff and nice breakfast
Nice little hotel. It's not staffed between 2pm and 7am, but all the staff we met were very nice.
We loved Biarritz.
Great location in the centre of town and handy for everything. Really enjoyed the breakfast, plenty of choice and home made jams were delicious.
Sylvie was so helpful in highlighting all the sights we might want to see as well as restaurants to go to and day trips out of town.

Very friendly and helpful owner on site. I was allowed to leave my bag in the room ahead of normal check-in time. The room was spacious and clean. Plenty of restaurants within a short walk. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Lovely family-run hotel located very central to restaurants and shopping in Biarritz. Very enjoyable stay and friendly people, good breakfast and spacious room.
Lovely period hotel, perfect for family of 4.
Lovely period hotel, we had a double bed and two singles, in Two bedrooms, joined by a shared bathroom. Perfect for our family of 4, with 2 children.
It got very hot in the day, but we were in a subterranean appartment which stayed cool and had a small terrace next to a bubbling water feature and the garden, so was safe to leave the doors and windows...
Nice hotel in town centre
Nice comfortable room with sea view in the distance.
Great location for town centre although bars and restaurants closed early (not hotel's fault).
Good location, walking distance to centre

the room was clean, towels replaced every day, nice location facing the sea and the beach (just across the road), hot shower really appreciated at this period of the year, nice bedding. Stephane and Jerome are great host and always ready to help. The atmosphere is nice and simple at the same time. A nice hotel to stay and come back without hesitation. Good stuff
Clean room, lovely personnel, everything I wanted
Very personable experience. Both owners took a lot of interest in us and really took good care of us. Very well run, boutique hotel. We would highly recommend it.
Fun design oriented place with the best hosts possible! We learned a lot about the history of Royan and her architecture marvels. Great breakfast, perfect view of the beach but most of all, a super caring staff
Pleasant and Comfortable Stay in Royan
I had a lovely stay at Seakub hotel. The owners were both accommodating and friendly during my stay. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would highly recommend Seakub to other travelers looking for a pleasant and affordable stay in Royan.

Room was very small. We asked for single beds. But had 3 dogs with us. It was quite noisy from other guests even at 3 in the morning! The gentleman on reception was brilliant. Spoke English as my french is only school French from 50 years ago. So helpful. A nice clean safe stop
Everything is ok. Pleasant and clean. Service is polite and nice. Large free parking
Parking area very good, service correct, to spend a couple of nights, you have to bring shampoo and a hair dryer, there are none.
Not very clean hotel with a lot of noise in the corridors. The staff is pleasant
Low price, free parking, broken air conditioner
Hotel way too expensive for the quality. 35 euros would be the maximum for this type of hotel. Otherwise clean and good bedding

Excellent hotel that was able to accommodate us at short notice. All well appointed, incredibly helpful team of staff and the pool is lovely too.
Lovely comfortable hotel with exquisite evening dining in courtyard setting. Generous breakfast and overall good value for money. Helpful bi-lingual staff. Swimming pool is welcome cooling for the Dordogne summer heat. Bedrooms are comfortable and clean with effective but quiet air conditioning.
We have just finished 3 nights stay here on our road trip from St Marlo to Bilbao. A wonderful hotel, our room was lovely and had a bath, shower and outdoor space. It was very quiet and we slept really well. The food was fresh , local and delicious, compliments to the chef! After the first night we quickly decided to eat here every night and we had breakfast too where there was local breads, meats...
The room we were given was up one flight of stars then through a door and up another flights of stairs. We then arrived in a very dark unappealing attic room. Did not represent what was shown on the website or advertised in...
This is the place to stay for short trips to dozens of nearby castles, picturesque villages and leisurely trips on the beautiful Dordogne river. The red lights when we arrived at night didn't give the best impression to start with.
The room was clean and welcoming, but the bathroom was very small and my main complain point:

I recently stayed in this hotel for four nights. Basic hotel in a great location. Perfect for exploring old town La Rochelle. Rooms were clean and comfortable with old furniture. Staff were very helpful. No air conditioning in the rooms so it was quite warm in the night time. There was a fan provided.
Hotel was in a perfect location for central La Rochelle. Room was suitable for what we needed. Hotel front and rooms were dated and in need of some TLC although good value for money and just a base so no issues.
The outside is unimposing but once inside everything is of a good standard. Friendly service, modern lift, well appointed rooms overlooking a city park for a very quiet nights sleep. Superb buffet breakfast with extensive choice of very fresh items. Dated early 70s style but quite charming, properly maintained and very clean. Overall very enjoyable and certainly good value. Gem of a location
Friendly host, super clean and spacious room, lovely breakfast. Ideally situated within walking distance of centre of town.
The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bedding is truly excellent.
The hostess will be able to recommend must-see places and good addresses.
Breakfast is generous: coffee, tea, pastries, various breads and jams, fresh fruit, orange juice, etc.
A big thank you to Annie for her welcome, her kindness, and her smile.
The place is nice enough but not ideal for little children so I'd recommend it for couples only.
In general, we had a good stay. The place is safe and clean, but I have to mention that it had a noticeable humid smell. The sweet breakfast in the morning was okay, in my opinion. Stayed in early June, the weather was glorious. The room was perfect and 5 minutes walk to the promenade and beach. Annie and Mark are perfect hosts. We stayed at Maison du Lierre for one night during a long weekend in Bordeaux and I can honestly say that I could not fault it one bit. I had a lovely room with balcony. Bright and spacious. Number 14. Everything is very tastefull styled and of high quality. I slept very well. In the morning a fresh breakfast in the garden; what could you wish more for?. For solo travellers: A lot of art and design magazins in the common room. Friendly and helpfull ladies at the receptiondesk.
A boutique hotel in the very heart of Bordeaux, with great amenities and customer service. Even though there is no lift, the staff has no problems helping you with the luggage. The car parking arrangement worked great.
Pleasant centrally located small hotel. room comfortable; fresh brioche, croissants, lots more at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful. Note there is no elevator, but we were able to manage the 70-step staircase up to our room with no problem. Staff cheerfully helped with our bags upon arrival and departure.
A charming hotel within a few minutes walk to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable and pleasantly quiet at night. We stayed on the top (3rd) floor which was fine for us but there is no lift (as was made clear when we booked) which could be a challenge for some. The breakfast on the terrace was fabulous and all the staff went out of there way to be helpful.

We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it. The rooms were fairly quiet, clean and basic with ok beds, but the location was very good!
Nice clean rooms, perfect location in the centre of Bordeaux, friendly English speaking owners, even a hairdryer was in the bathroom, which is unusual for a 2 star hotel. Prefer to have breakfast outside.
The hotel is really clean and is in a great location, the rooms are small but cosy. The hotel staff were very friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast, the croissants were really nice. The hotel is near some great locations and is very well situated - would happily return here.
The first thing you should know is that there is no lift and whilst there are only 2 floors of rooms and a breakfast room floor, there are a lot of windy stairs. This is a charming hotel. And the important ingredient is the charming couple who run the hotel. The location is close to the beach and walking distance to downtown. Also close to the restaurant Cafe du Commerce which I also recommend. The rooms in the hotel are updated and I loved the breakfast option -- around 9 euros, old school French Continental style. It was a nice hotel, in a quiet area, but the service was not that good, they could not offer any toilets' after the check out, and when we checked out it was a little bit stressful.
The hotel is run by the grigots. Breakfast is in option: never seen before in a hotel. If you haven't reserved you're done. It's better for you as the bathroom is so tiny you need to be anorexic to enter. Much better options in Biarritz (super city if a bit snob)
