We went to Munich to attend Oktoberfest. We stayed at Hotel Europa which is approximately 3 km from the Theresienwiese where the festival is held. There is excellent public transit in front of the hotel, but we chose to walk to and from. Hotel Europa is well appointed, very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We liked this hotel, modern, clean, large room and in this case occupied by a number of "Swifties". Whilst the shower was very good that it was entirely made of transparent glass was a little off putting. The staff were friendly and it was nice to sit in the courtyard bar in the late evening.

It was a lovely hotel and the staff was very courteous. The food was very good. The only problem we experienced was our inability to regulate the heat/temperature in our room. One minute we are sweating, so we opened the door and the next it was freezing. The staff was not able to help with this issue.
