This hotel is new and the environment is good, but the space is average and not very spacious. There are parking spaces on the road. The hotel location is not in the heart of old town Munich but it’s just 5 mins walk from the main train station, so that’s a plus. To go to the old town Munich, it’s just 1-2 stops away using Metro/Tram. The room is modern and clean. It took us almost 30mins to get to Novotel from their local train station. It was -2 degrees n 8.30pm. We asked a few locals n even the staff working at the bakery where it was located. All of them gave us the wrong direction. We finally got it right after the 3rd time walking around n up n down the area for 15mins! I've stayed at multiple Ibis hotels in various countries, and I've been extremely satisfied every time! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and polite, and check-in is quick. The location is convenient. My only minor complaint is that the rooms don't have a kettle.

The staff is really nice, however, the room I was assigned is not soundproof, for me it's fine, but I guess it will be very noisy for some travellers, as you can hear the trains go back and forth. Lastly, the shower (toilet) is a bit tiny, and interestingly the door is installed oppositely.

We went to Munich to attend Oktoberfest. We stayed at Hotel Europa which is approximately 3 km from the Theresienwiese where the festival is held. There is excellent public transit in front of the hotel, but we chose to walk to and from. Hotel Europa is well appointed, very clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
