This place is a warm little hotel, cozy and beautifully arranged. It is located in a calm area. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I also enjoyed the breakfast, where local, self-made and organic products are served. I didn't see an elevator in this hotel, which might be of an inconvenience for people with reduced mobility or heavy luggage. As usual, pillows are a very personal thing, and I forgot...

I stayed here for a week. Nice quiet area, easy access to public transit. The room was comfortable, and I enjoyed the restaurant. When I checked into my room, I noticed the kettle had a half centimeter layer of fuzzy white (presumably calcium) buildup. I brought it to them and they cleaned it, but not effectively. They did not clean all the white stuff off. At that point I did not feel like asking...

stayed in a Family room for 2nights Wifi was good. AIr con in the hot room was not, and I was not able to sleep. Shower is a good 20cms off ground and difficult to get into as the room is very narrow! Room was clean but on close inspection, some dust under the beds. Use the tram no 18 or 19 to get to within 100 metres of the premises

We are a family of 5 ( 2 adults, 3 teenagers) who stayed overnight here twice in the last 2 weeks. We found it to be in an excellent location as we arrived into the central train station and got an Uber for less than 10euro. The local train stops right outside too. Family room was excellent but the shower room on the second stay was quite dangerous...it was about 20cm up from the ground with no grab...

The best to say about this place is its "very spacious" 8-bed dorm room where I stayed for 3 nights which was really one of the biggest (if not the biggest) among many various dorms I've ever stayed at (really enough room for 8 people to comfortably move around with also an ensuite bathroom for just the people in the room). And also great were the lounge room connected to the lobby on the 1st floor...

Stayed in the 6 bunk room. It had a private bathroom. The beds were comfortable. The room was nice for the price. The hotel has security at night. Location was great for Oktoberfest. Good breakfast and bar in the lobby.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed. The suite is really comfortable and spacious, everything was clean. The staff was always kind. The breakfast has great options and is tasty. Also the location is really great, close to the city center and right by the river.

This was a lovely three night stopover. Breakfast, although continental - had everything my husband liked, and everything I liked (ie the 'birdseed'!). Staff were wonderful, and the option to enjoy hot drinks and Xmas biscuits in the lounge was a highlight. Overall, we stayed in a friend's house, instead of a hotel.

I am very disappointed with my stay. After checking in, we discovered that the bed was broken and had to request a room change. However, the new room had a malfunctioning air conditioner and a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. During breakfast, there were no seats available as the dining area was far too small. This experience was unacceptable.

Really spacious for a single room. The bathroom was a tad small but the living area makes up for it. The room was small. The breakfast was good. It's very close to Munich Main Station, a five-minute walk away. The bed was like a train berth, but fortunately it was soft. I stayed here because I was changing trains.

Great area, very quiet. Very friendly staff. A cute quality hotel to get a nice German feel. However our shower didn’t drain and flooded every time we turned on the faucet and there was hair in there from the previous guests. The side of the bed nearest the window was not swept of food crumbs, indicating a lousy clean job. And the fan they brought us didn’t work.

The staff were friendly and explained everything to me carefully, which made me feel at ease. The TV in my room didn't work, so I wasn't able to watch it even once during my stay. It's in a quiet area, about a 20-minute bus ride from the central station.

If you wish to have a decadent experience in a beautiful setting with a romantic courtyard, this is the place for you!

Unfortunately, the stay was very disappointing. The walls seem to be extremely thin – you could hear every sound from the next room as if it were happening in your own. A restful sleep was virtually impossible. The cleanliness also left much to be desired: hair in the bed – absolutely unacceptable.

There were 12 of us traveling: two adults as chaperones and 10 teenagers aged 14 to 16. We received a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The amenities are also good for the price. Some rooms have a kitchenette. We were all very satisfied. We'd gladly come again!

The hotel added a sofa bed for my son, bringing the total number of single beds to three. Even with the extra bed, the room still felt very spacious. The air conditioning was powerful. The inner garden was beautiful and quiet, which was a big plus. The location is also fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from both the train and metro stations.

Overall, it was just an average experience. The hotel is tucked away in an alley, and the room felt a bit small. It seemed overpriced compared to similar hotels, offering only average value for money. Breakfast was also nothing special. Due to a last-minute change in plans, I arrived a day early, but this hotel had no availability, so I ended up staying at two different hotels during my two nights...

Terrific resort off the beaten path The staff were extremely kind and accommodating. The room was brand new, airy, and large. The food at the restaurant was exceptionally good.

Thalmair hotel is a lovely and cosy Family run hotel in Munich. The location is a bit far from the city centre, but its not an issue, as the underground is 2 mins walk.
