Our friends had a large suite on the ocean which was nice, But a very long walk to pool and restaurants

Amazing food (actually too good). Only downer is a 100 euro "climate crisis tax" slapped on your bill at the end. If you're going to obligatorily add 100 euros to a bill. You should say this at the time of booking

The hotel has lovely grounds, lots of greenery, this Bungalow opens out to the water. The area is framed by wonder, placed modern sculpture Greek painters from the art collections of sculptures

When do we draw the line on this? A "water crisis tax" of 20,000 euros slapped on a check out bill? I realise it's not all their fault

Fantastic hotel, one of the best we’ve been to. Place is quiet, full of families with very well behaved children, teen children, and couples looking for a relaxing time

The sunbeds fill up very quickly, it’s advisable to get up early if you are spending your day on the beach. It’s so worth it though! The beach bar provided a great service too

We just arriwed home after spending a week here and even tho it was early in the season we had a lovely time at this hotell

Somewhat outdated, but still acceptable and clean. The location is beautiful, there are many Restaurants and shopping opportunities in the area. If you would clean the beach occasionally, this would be nice

All the staff was so nice and friendly and eager to help! Special thanks to Hara (the name means happy in greek) so we called her happy because she was always smiling and so serviceminded and friendly and made our stay even better 🩷

The beach is lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds available but it was end of season and I didn’t notice anyone reserving them. The best thing about the hotel is the staff

Myself and my partner have spent the last fortnight at the Giannoulis Santa Marina Beach Hotel and we loved every minute of our stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable and welcoming

We stayed at Chrispy for one week. Weather was stunning, pool clean and with plenty of sunbeds. Aquapark has few different slides so there is a choice for everyone. They also have mini slide for the youngest ones

Very beautiful hotel with polite service. Food are very delicious but the only downside was its repetition. Swimming pool and slides are very funny. Animators complemented each day with cool attractions

Rooms and hotel are very clean, comfortable and beautiful. In the hotel there are so many flowers which caused a positive vibe

There was a bar and a small grill at the pool were refreshments could be gotten. Snacks, french fries, burgers etc. and later in the evening cocktails. The personal was friendly and helpful

And there was a really great entertaining group that kept customers entertained everyday with different activites, from Zumba to waterpool, darts and evening activites

Only a short walk in to platanias and the beach and easy to get a bus in to chania. The staff were all lovely , friendly and helpful and we were able to get a late check out

Clean, pleasant hotel. Good food. It feels mainly aimed at families and this is reflected in the clientele. Easy ten minute walk into the centre of Platanias or to the beach from the quiet location.

Been here a week and what a lovely hotel from rooms to food to staff had the best time would highly recommend thanks you sunrise village hotel for making our holiday we will definitely be back

The rooms are good but basic and we benefited from a sea view (room 115). The pool area is clean and sunbeds are plentiful. The few issues i had was the food and the bar area

Fairly large, clean pool, with deep and shallow end and a separate kids area. Pool towels are available for a refundable deposit. No shortage of sunbeds, plenty stacked up to the side

Sunrise Village is situated in a quiet area of Platanias but is only a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants and just a few minutes more to the beach. The Hotel is a 3 star hotel so do not expect anything more

This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful location, our room was perfect, overlooking pool and sea view. Spacious room with comfortable beds

Lovely hotel in a great location. Walking distance to Elounda, plenty of entertainment from reps that clearly love their jobs, and beautiful views. We had a shared private pool which was lovely

We went at the start of the season and it was peaceful, the entertainment was outstanding for the kids and our little one loved it. The food was great, the drinks and staff were wonderful

The outdoor seating is good if you can get a seat but again lacks atmosphere. I’m not a fan of loud music but it would really benefit from some kind of holiday music, a live band and some lighting

A couple of k’s walk down to the village but you could always grab a taxi. We rented a car which we parked at the hotel with no extra cost. Would definitely return to this hotel

The only downfall fall is that the commute from the airport with a young child is fairly long. Just be aware if you are travelling with small children

Was bought as present for our honeymoon and the room wasn’t the best so I emailed them explaining and next day we got the best upgrade with private pool only thing I’d say is the pool was ice cold, but free robes slippers a bath with an amazing view the food was lovely the staff was amazing the shows were good the bar staff was so lovely and chatty! I’d 100% recommend sad to leave but had the best...

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, the food was superb and freshly made and refreshed in a timely manner, our entire family were extremely happy with the food choices each day and the all inclusive aspect meant we never missed out on any snacks or ice creams around the pools

The hotel is close to the little beach at the bottom of the hill and this is well worth a visit and we often enjoyed a few hours down there soaking up the sun or getting a different view over sunset

The views around the hotel are beautiful, and there’s a stunning beach nearby that made our days even more special

This is a lovely hotel but I wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel. It is in a beautiful location, stunning views and a quaint little beach in a bay with lots of water activities

We had an amazing holiday in September at this hotel and would highly recommend it for families looking to relax and create unforgettable memories. The hotel itself is lovely and very clean

They do provide beach towels for you, but I never used them (I had my own). I can’t comment on the pool because I never used it, but the garden area is lovely and well maintained

Very good city location by walking distance to the Port, Bazaar (Central) and short driving distance to the Hanya Beaches. Excellent and very warm hospitality! Good room with good-brand almost new furnished bathroom

Very expensive for what you get, rooms are adequate at best, pool is small, surrounding area to pool is tight, breakfast was good however. Location is OK, 10-15 mins into old town harbour.

It did not have the widest selection of food but still nice regardless. The bathroom was very modern and gorgeous. Although I did not request a balcony room, I still had a small balcony anyway which was nice

I would come again! Fabulous hotel. Everyone was friendly, from the restaurant staff, the front desk staff and the cleaners. I had new towels everyday of my stay

And lastly the same old chestnut of people reserving sunbeds. Good luck getting into the adults only pool. We even tried getting up at 07:30 only to find all beds reserved and not a sign of anyone out there

2 nights there was evening entertainment but this happened at the pool bar (next to childrens pool) but the bar was closed! Only one bar open in the evening and one person serving the queue sometimes was quite long, had to wait a while the selection of drinks was poor, 4 cocktails, didn't have a drink I liked

Second problem the room the family 2 girls and a boy (family 2 of them were adults) was allocated was a double bed and a bed settee we had asked for a family double room, 1am in the morning we told them to use the room and was assured the room would be changed in the morning - to give credit to the reception staff in the morning the room was changed, the night porter had said they family would be moved...

The pool bar near the childrens pool did not serve alcohol apart from beer and wine, if you are on holiday you would not leave children at the pool while going to the adults pool to get a drink

There was a queue for checkin so the receptionist / porter told us to use the restaurant and come back when we had eaten, which was good, tea/coffee machines were working as well as wine/beer and soft drinks, limited food available, rolls, salad, ham and cheese

No kettle in the room, the porter told me tea and coffee was available 24/7, I don't know where as the tea / coffee machines in the restaurant were closed after breakfast if tea / coffee was required you had to go to one of the bars

We stayed in a pool view maisonette which had everything you could want for a self catering stay. I know some rooms had amazing sea views too. The pool is very small (but well maintained)

Great stay here at the hotel. The Spa team around Mikaela is awesome. If you catch a rainy day (or not) it‘s an absolute recommendation to get the full Cretan body massage - Aspasia and Ifigenia are awesome! 5/5 stars!

Spa experience with Aspasia was absolutely exceptional. From the moment the treatment began, she created such a calm and soothing atmosphere that I was able to completely switch off and relax

I took a "Sweet Love" package for my treatment option. Ifigenia, who executed the treatment, was very professional, friendly and clearly experienced at her job. Would heartily recommend the spa!

Aspasia clearly has a real talent for what she does. Her professionalism, care, and attention to detail made this one of the best treatments I’ve had

I think it is much better suited to adults (than children) as there is not so much much room for swimming but it’s perfect for cooling off. The staff are all very kind and the barman is quite funny

It was an amazing stay! 3 days of relaxation in a small quite hotel! The daily buffet was really tasty but the highlight of this hotel is the nice behaviour of the staff!

It has its own sun beds on the beach for its guest, and there is usually no problem to find a spot there

Amazing hotel! At first I was a bit worried about the bad weather but everything changed by my arrival! One of the most cleaned hotel with staff like family

The rooms are clean, bright and well equipped we had a room with a jacuzzi we stayed in room 1212 had a pool and sea view from the balcony but nice and quiet

We looked at one of the rooms with a swim up pool and these were out of this world and definitely what we will book on our return visit

Had a lovey time the rooms where clean , good food and drinks choices , friendly staff that are very helpful. Shops and beach near by

The only disadvantage for us was that the beach,( which is really close and you can go in your swim suit and where you have a reserves seat ) is very narrow and crowded with chairs which don't leave the space to feel the sea or even to walk on the beach

After two days, they give us a gift upgrade to the suite with own swimming pool. Also, the hotel is near the beach and pleasure beach. The entertainment in the evening was also nice

5 Stars is less for this Magic Place. You have to be high to stay High Beach ☆☆☆☆☆.

All the resort is beautifully designed and taken care off and very very clean. The resort has 5 pools, usually empty of people in the water but with people on the sunbeds around them

The High Beach Resort is a very well-maintained and visually appealing hotel complex. We arrived on April 2nd, 2026, the official start of the season

Despite this unprecedented crisis situation, the ENTIRE staff welcomed the guests with a warm smile! That's truly a great achievement! Clearly the receptionist lied to us, which is not very nice if you ask me. Moreover, there was no shower gel in the bathroom (and from my experience, hotels usually give you little bottles of shower gel among others)

We went back to the reception and asked the receptionist (a young guy) if this is their standard triple room since we saw something else on their website

Few minutes later, we saw the room next to us because the people in it left the door open, room 2006, a triple room, and guess what? They had 3 normal beds, not a mattress like ours

After we checked in and arrived to our room, our biggest surprise was that instead of 3 beds we received 2 beds and a small mattress (see picture below)

The guy said this is their triple standard room and did nothing else about it

Me and my family bought an All inclusive package and booked a triple room

There were many pool toys and floats for children, but the pool was a constant 1. 2m deep so small children need watching as no shallow area. Lots of choice at breakfast, different little cakes each day and homemade jams

The food was Authentic and delicious we ate there every night, we planned to come back every year but Andrw became quite poorly and ended up with a kidney transplant,but I would recommend this beautiful place,it was family run back then ,no noisy holiday makers very peaceful and clean and if your looking for authenticity this is the place to go

Everyone is very friendly and helpful and polite. The rooms were cleaned almost every day, and all the communal areas, including the pool area, were meticulously clean and tidy

The breakfast buffet was the same every day, but there were plenty of options to choose from. The pool side bar had a good range of drinks and snack food options to buy

Lovely family run hotel in a great location, easy to walk to the beach, supermarket and a few other restaurants nearby. Hotel was very clean and staff were so friendly

Eva was so helpful in explaining the bus services so we went to Rethymno and Ponormo which were both lovely! Breakfast at the hotel was really good and we ate a la carte at the restaurant most days, the food was lovely and fresh and we loved it at lunchtime for a break from the beach and the views are incredible

Great location to all the best beaches and the Marina which is about 15/20 minute walk across the beach

Hotel centrally placed just off the main road. Restaurants close by, 5 mins walk. Best ones , turn left at hotel exit and walk up the hill. Lunchtime meals on the main road or overlooking the beach

Lovely clean hotel in a fantastic location near the beach , shops, bars and restaurants. Great sized pool though no graduated walk in. There were plenty of sunbeds, refreshing not to have to get up early

Rom has kettle, microwave, hob and fridge with freezer compartment. Pool clean, sunbeds sometimes difficult to get. The grassed area by the breakfast could be utilised for this. Lifts are available to all floors

Our room allocation made our stay perfect. We had a sea and pool view, lovely. There's plenty of storage too which we were pleased with [we don't travel lightly]! Nice balcony

You could order drinks and snacks from your sunbed using a QR code. Waiter Sudesh was particularly pleasant and also worked in the restaurant in the mornings. Breakfast was good and the selection changed every day

Entertainment - there was a very enthusiastic guy leading the entertainment both during the day and in the evening, I honestly don’t know how he kept going! Around the pool there were games daily, aqua fit and water polo

The gym was very small and no air con so advise getting there before the day gets too hot! Layout - the photos always give the impression it’s quite compact but if you aren’t near the centre then it’s a long walk up a big hill! Luckily there was a van / golf cart to help out

There were other activities too such as Pilates - possibly the best view I’ve ever had doing Pilates! There could have been a bit more for teens, and it was a shame the games room wasn’t in the centre of the hotel but a bit further out, but that was only a tiny thing

When we arrived we let them know and they showed my son all the things he could have. They were also happy to prepare gluten free bread, pizza and pasta too, and it really seemed no bother

My daughter missed out on going to the water slides as she hadn’t heard them say what was happening! Water park - fine for kids and teens enjoyed it for a little while but not thrilling

The lifeguards were excellent though, really friendly, helpful and good when my son ripped open a scab on a slide! Food - this was a big one for us

Pretty good place, the pools great and the food was really nice and theres amazing people there too, the only thing that bothered me were the mosquitoes but its okay.

We had a lovely stay at Heronissos! The team there was incredibly welcoming and organized, ensuring everything felt easy from the moment we checked in

The sunbeds come with tables and umbrellas, and there are plenty of lovely seating areas around the pool to relax. The staff work incredibly hard to keep the whole resort immaculate

It's the little things that count, and the staff's willingness to help really stood out. To top it off, the food was excellent. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

We visited Crete in September and our stay at this hotel was the best. Thank you all for giving us unique experiences and we will be back soon.

Second day was woken up to an earthquake couple of days later a sand storm. Location very close to the sea and the *****. Be prepared to be hassled to go into the bars

Big ground balcony with banana palms and a view of the pool. The snack bar by the pool offers a great variety of food & drinks, more than any other pool/snack bar i have seen

I had a superior double room, basically a 44m2 apartment and it was very nice, looked great, modern with everything you need even a washing machine. Touch panels to control lights and AC, very nice bathroom

Very good food, the chef knows what he's doing. 00, with 20% on drinks and food. Breakfast was good, fresh and varied. Its a 5-10 min buss/car ride to Rethymno city

I have been travelling on and off for 25 years and i have to say this hotel is excellent, by far one of the best in Crete

One thing which could have been improved was the parking situation. Although they have their own dedicated parking area, it can get full very quickly and you might have to then search for a parking place

Summer Dream was literally that! The hotel is beautiful and the staff are all very friendly and helpful

We had a fantastic stay at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel and would happily return. We visited as a family on a half-board basis, and the food was a real highlight of our trip

Breakfast offered a good variety to start the day, while dinner in the rooftop restaurant was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu each evening

We enjoyed our stay at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel so much. Already planning our next stay, we can’t wait to come back! The heated pool in October is amazing, although we were lucky enough to get fantastic weather too

There are lots of facilities to enjoy, including a good-sized swimming pool, a gym, and extras like a pool table, bike hire, a hot tub, and a sauna—so there’s always something to do. The location is another big plus

The hotel is right next to the beach and within easy walking distance of local restaurants and bars. It’s also only about a 7-minute drive to Lake Kournas, which is well worth a visit

Is in a relaxing area with beachfront views and includes 3 restaurants and 2 heated pools nice and r laxing hotel we will come again for sure!

and have sea, pools and a river all in same vicinity! Absolute bliss!

We’ve stayed with own pool and it was of a great size, very private, we could relax by the pool while our baby slept inside

The new and old buildings mean there's plenty of space for everyone and you can always find a sunbed

Beautiful room (superior maisonette) with plenty of room for a family of 4. Great pools, particularly in the newer blocks for swimming (lane pool), food was good but not excellent

Breakfast and lunch were fine but by dinner we preferred to leave the hotel. If you go right along the beach there was an excellent place for dinner and cocktails
