Outstanding customer service! Waiters and cleaners were also extremely attentive, the waiters joked with our daughter calling her 'Max' as she looked liked Max from Stranger Things and the cleaners always left our rooms spotless, leaving sweets on the pillow or displaying our pjs on the bed

They then went out of their way to ensure their was lots of variety of foods for him to choose from each always checking in with us each evening to ensure he was ok

Beach was small with paid sun-beds and umbrella, but last day we just stayed around pool where beds are free and went for few dips in the see from there. Inflatables are free to use and stacked by the pool

Victoria was fantastic, I've had many massages and she was by far the best

Location In prime location of shops, bars and restaurants. Beach opposite hotel but you have to pay for sun beds. Not much room to just lie on the sand as beds crammed together

The beach is excellent with included sunbeds, which are all new and very comfortable, adding to the aesthetic appeal. The food also deserves praise – there is something for everyone, and everything is fresh and delicious

I had the best time here! The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are super clean, and the food is so tasty. The pool is big and perfect for relaxing I spent so much time just chilling there

We recently stayed for 14 nights and really liked the hotel. We didn't use the beach or pool so cannot comment on that

We had room 402 which was lovely and spacious for the two of us with a nice size balcony and bathroom. There is a safe at a cost of €4 a day and AC which was free

Thank you for giving us such a big room with a balcony. We had a late flight home and the hotel still let us to use the pool and a shower room after we have checked out

The food buffet had a variety of items with the dinner items changing each evening for extra variety. Brilliant hotel and highly recommend the sea view room!

It's super clean, nothing is abandoned or neglected from the property. Also very friendly staff, they always want to help. Two guys from the reception, not sure their names, are exceptionally friendly

They really are the heart of the hotel. The hotel has two large pools with plenty of sunbeds, and best of all, there was no need to rush down in the morning to reserve one

Choice of three pools or use the free bus which runs to the beach three times a day ! The food was nice enough but don't expect five star food at three star prices

just back after a 2 week family holiday for 12 7 adults 4 kids and a baby the hotel is at best 3 stars but very clean the food for me was awful so ate out every day the kids loved the pool and most of the staff are very helpful and friendly the man that does the excursions was extremely helpful and if you need to hire a car speak to him he is cheap and does all the hard work for you entertainment...

We had a lovely stay at Club Lyda Hotel and would definitely return. The staff were absolutely fantastic – incredibly friendly and always willing to do whatever they could to make our stay better

Entertainment was minimal, but we stayed at the end of the season, so that might explain it. Overall, ignore the harsh reviews – this is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff, great pools, and good value for money

Our vacation started in Crete, an island famous for its wonderful beaches and good traditional food. We decided to visit the " Club Lyda" hotel in Gouves. The reception was full of kindness and helpfulness

If you carried on walking straight on instead of turning right there were more shops and then after about a 20 minute walk from the hotel bungalows was the lake, restaurants and where you could get a boat to Spinalonga, the Happy Train and the semi submarine, The rooms at the Ariadne are large, lots of storage and a big balcony with side sea views

Not far to walk to the two pools although steep in parts but manageable and buggy’s were around the resort. The swimming pools aren’t heated like most aren’t abroad but were amazing to have a good swim in and never busy

The location was excellent about 10 minutes flat walk along a promenade to a lovely large sandy beach- Almyros beach or a pebbly beach just in front of the hotel

The town was about a 10 minute walk through a residential area before the start of some shops or a walk towards the sea, tavernas, shops and the marina

The ladies on reception couldn’t do enough to help especially Maria. Always helpful and with a smile. The spa and staff were excellent. I had two massages and facials which were amazing the products organic and Cretian

Oversaw the area brilliantly everyone felt special and looked after he is a legend. George is also amazing and excellent at his job and in quieter moments it was so interesting to talk to them both

We have just come back from 8 days at the beautiful Hotel Adele Beach. We loved it !! Amazing friendly staff and management especially Anna in the bar , Maria in the pool bar & Marianna in the restaurant

The Adele Beach Hotel is ideally located with a 25 minutes bus (number 20) journey/ride away from the nearest historic town of Rethimno which literally has something to offer everyone but just remember to purchase bus tickets in advance from all local stores and shops at 2 euro per trip

There is one large pool with it's own pool bar and free sunbed access around the large pool area and on the private beach. The selection of food is local Greek cuisine meets European and west

The Adele Beach Hotel is centrally located near to the main high road with numerous bars, ATM's, supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and activity venues along with a pharmacy, hire car centres and a medical centre

would we stay at the Adele Beach Hotel again in the future. 100% yes! If you're toying with the idea to visit Crete in 2026 then seriously consider reviewing their website and book your accommodation asap

The hotel is set back and away from the main road so there are no noise or pollution issues. As for the Adele Beach Hotel itself. WOW! The hotel is shown as 4 star and they certainly deserve that rating

The pool area is ok but definitely has the feel of it having once been a car park or something. Breakfast is just ok, food selection is broad but the quality is really quite poor

The shot of the pool looks big when in reality it is much smaller. As it was really busy, we didn't want to swim in it. Breakfast is 5/10, same menu and pretty standard

It is very close to the strip which has all the restaurants there and a beach. The hotel is definitely not 4 stars

• I stayed half board during my stay and honestly the selection of food was wonderful and I liked that they provided traditional Greek food which was great to try

I stayed for a week! Pros: • The hotel staff are lovely, that is everybody from the house keepers to the kitchen and wait staff to the people at the front desk

Also just want to give a shout out to Julia the guest relations manager, such a lovely lady and very helpful when booking my excursion to Santorini

Breads and pastries were to die for. Good location right in the middle of Hersonissos and just a few feet from the beach

I have stayed at multiple JW and Ritz hotels and the service here is at that level if not better. The hotel itself is immaculate. Our room was always super clean with fresh towels and sheets

The breakfast was perfect, so much choice! The hotel is well located with a huge amount of restaurants and bars on the doorstep, and lovely places like Koutouloufari and Stalis just a short distance away

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days and had amazing service throughout! They allowed early and late checkout for us as we had difficult flight times, called us multiple taxis to get around the beautiful island and were just helpful start to finish

There are also rental car agencies near the hotel where you can rent a car for a day and go hike Timios Stavros (the tallest mountain on Crete and another Unesco heritage site)

We had the best time at Vasia Boulevard. The staff were amazingly helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and fresh bedding supplied everyday

Had such a great experience here! Hotel has 2 very nice pools and lots of sun beds. Staff are amazing very helpful and friendly, especially Sofia at reception, the manager (Antoni) and our cleaning lady was also great

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s an excellent choice for anyone looking for a great experience on a budget. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the food was absolutely delicious

There were 2 separate pools, I chose the one further from the bar and had many hours with no one sitting near me- perfect. So peaceful for reading, relaxing and napping should you so desire

My room was on the top (4th) floor so lovely views. I expected an inland view and was surprised to find I had a sea view which was a treat

The hotel kittens are pure joy! Loved them so much!! The negatives are expensive drinks in the hotel and not much locally to do, the closest shop was a little walk away and I’m not shy of a good walk

Sofia was very helpful with any info needed, any taxis needed, etc. The hotel breakfast is buffet so you have a choice and a lot of variety so there is definitely something for everyone

Beautiful hotel in the city center, walking distance to the old town which is filled with restaurants and shopping spots, across the street from an amazing coffee shop, kind staff, clean and felt safe! Around 10 parking spots in the underground lot first come first serve otherwise parking free on hotel street ! Breakfast had good variety of options! Would recommend !

Located centrally, this hotel is stunning. Parking can be a bit tricky if you are used to North American style car garages, but nothing we couldn’t deal with. Breakfast was incredible as well.

Clean, beautiful rooms in a great location, with a few drawbacks. Drawbacks: - Heating/cooling: The building only supports one or the other. We were here on hot days and the fan was blowing hot air only

Great hotel, nice staff and very clean. Park next door, very noisy! Band played until 11:30pm.

The hotel has a parking area, but it’s quite small and often full, so we had to look for street parking instead, which wasn’t easy to find – and that was already in mid-September, so I can only imagine how hard it must be during high season

The location is quite convenient, fairly close to both the city center and the beach

The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was

The food was delicious, with lots of variety and rich local flavors – special greetings to Chef Fotis for the incredible meals. Everyone working here makes the experience even more enjoyable

I am happy and grateful for Dimitris and Dimitra for making me an exception for the coctail without alcohol. The other personnel shift could not make the drink without one ingridient

The two bars offer a well stocked list of wines, beer, spirits and cocktails. There are two swimming pools, both with a small cordoned off area for young children

Super nice host, gave us tips on what to visit and which restaurants were good. The breakfast buffet was also super great!

The pool is big and you don’t need to rush for sunbeds which are also really comfy. There was a DJ on Sunday which lifted the mood a bit — otherwise, it’s very quiet and everyone tends to keep to themselves

Most things perfect, the atmosphere, service, breakfast, pool and beach areas. Only minus was the hotel area - there is nothing to do outside the hotel, and also the lunch restaurant had too few options

We walked the opposite way one day, which turns into a seafront path after about 20–25 minutes and has a few quiet restaurants and hotels. The lane outside the hotel gets quite dark at night, so take a phone torch

You can order food and drinks to your sunbed which is a nice idea, but again, it’s the same small menu. Even things like smoothies don’t exist, so if you’re not drinking alcohol there isn’t much choice

The beach is right in front of the hotel and super convenient, though it could do with a bit of a tidy-up. Still, it’s easy to get to and we used it quite a bit

Unfortunately the sauna and steam room were 20 euros per hour extra. The pool Was too cold to swim in. Hotel staff was great and we got upgraded

Agrabella Hotel is such a gem in Hersonissos! The location is spot-on, just a short walk (2–3 minutes) to tavernas, supermarkets, the bus stop, and the beach, but tucked away in a quiet spot, away from the late night noise you usually get right by the sea It’s a family-run business, and you can really feel the care

The only thing to note is that most rooms don’t have sea views, except some of the top-floor apartments, but in return you enjoy peace and quiet during the night

The rooms fit every budget, and cleanliness was excellent in our experience daily tidying, frequent towel changes, and fresh sheets twice a week Breakfast was good with plenty of choices, including local dishes, hot options, desserts, coffee and juices

Overall, a great balance of location, hospitality and value for money. Hersonissos itself is a lovely destination, and staying here made our trip even better

It operates 3 times weekly, and it is not only delicious but also a good opportunity to meet and mingle with one's fellow guests, as the seating is at a long wooden table, and with the chefs

The understated elegance that fully takes at advantage of the natural views that come with this location is truly stunning. We truly appreciated the food and the service I this amazing spot

We didn't really use the beach, but there looked to be plenty of sun loungers. The beach is big pebbles so would recommend taking rubber shoes for getting in and out of the water

) and Elounda about a 40 minute walk - fine during the day, but probably not to be recommended in the dark as pavement missing in places. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Phaea Blue again if we returned to the area

We didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. It's true that the hotel is set into the hillside and for some people this may be an issue, but the buggy service is readily available if needed

The restaurants were excellent, very good quality, offering delicious breakfasts with a small buffet and à la carte options , you must try the poached eggs with avocado and toasted bread

When the good weather hits it's beautiful to be here because of sun loungers, pool and sea in proximity. Overall a pleasant experience with a few minor details that need to be checked in the room

It is located in Rethymno about a 35 minute walk from Old Town and the beach is across the street so it offers a beautiful view from their restaurant

I have so many wonderful things to say but I will start with the bartender Michael. He is extremely skilled at making drinks that are both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. He has a clear passion for what he does

He always engaged in conversation and was happy to explain different drinks to me and I really enjoyed the rapport we had. Also Kalliopi the receptionist is extremely friendly and approachable

She was extremely helpful in coordinating transportation for us and I really enjoyed talking to her. Finally, Theodoris the maître d’ was very warm and hospitable

A wonderful break at the Orpheus resort. Staff were outstanding and made us really welcome. The location is perfect and right next to the beach. We had a room with its own outdoor jacuzzi which was very relaxing

This may be attributed to several factors, including its limited room capacity, direct beach access (though not a private beach, with a daily fee of 6 EUR for a couple), and its proximity to the higher-priced regions of Rethimnon and Chania

My room was very big, with two loungers in the room, and from the small balcony, you could even see the sea in the distance. It is not top modern, but very comfortable, very clean and I really liked it

The pools are a bit strange, because they look good, but they are not really functional and not good for swimming. Good bread and some choice, but nothing special. Unfortunately horrible coffee

My mother had a smaller, more modern room, which she enjoyed. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is beautiful and the garden as well

The location offers convenient access to the major cities and popular attractions such as Preveli Beach, Elafonissi Beach, and Balos Beach

Great hotel a few meters away from the beach. Verry clean, nice rooms, and friendly staff, especially the chefs. The food was exceptional (breakfast and dinner)

If you are looking for relaxation, rejuvenation, a clean and quiet environment and above all very, very kind people, this is the ideal place. They treated us like family, and we can't wait to go back next summer.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service for that booking price rate. Definitely we're recommending and aim next season trip to the Castro Beach Hotel

The beach in front of the hotel is a pebble beach, bring shoes for swimming. It is certainly not the most beautiful beach in Crete, but free deckchairs and parasols provided by the hotel are available

As regards food, we tended to have dinner out (it’s only a 5 minute taxi ride to the old town and there’s a rank about 20m from the hotel) but the pool bar was good for lunches and the buffet breakfasts in the restaurant were excellent

There’s also a water sports kiosk only 20m away, for parasailing, jet skis etc. The hotel has a nice pool (although a bit fresh!) and the week we were there, there was never any trouble in getting loungers

The best thing for us was the split level family room - twin beds and a shower room downstairs (plus balcony), with a king size and bathroom upstairs, both with a sea view

Although it’s a small hop across the road to the beach, there is a pedestrian crossing and the hotel has its own section of beach with sun loungers and umbrellas

We spent a week in the Aegean Pearl, right at the end of the season in October, and had a fantastic week

There are lots of facilities to enjoy, including a good-sized swimming pool, a gym, and extras like a pool table, bike hire, a hot tub, and a sauna—so there’s always something to do. The location is another big plus

It has a beautiful outside heated pool with super comfy sun loungers (which was perfect for us in April) , a beautiful spa, rooftop jacuzzi, gym area and rooftop bar. I 100 percent recommend this hotel

The service throughout the hotel was consistently friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference to our overall experience. We stayed in a poolside room, which was very convenient and comfortable

The hotel is right next to the beach and within easy walking distance of local restaurants and bars. It’s also only about a 7-minute drive to Lake Kournas, which is well worth a visit
