Drossia Palms Hotel Studios in Malia

We had such a lovely stay at this hotel and couldn’t recommend it more. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and everywhere was lovely to look at. Every single member of staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful — nothing was ever too much to ask, and they were always happy to help with anything we needed.

An even bigger highlight for us was Nisos Beach, where we spent most of our time because of how amazing the staff were. They made us feel so comfortable and ensured we always had a great time. A special mention to Stellios, Alex and the twins on the beach who really made our experience unforgettable.

A simply awesome and fabulous hotel which you will not regret choosing for your next holiday in Malia, Crete!
Upon arrival at the Drossia Palms Hotel Malia, I was greeted by the friendly staff and taken to my room. My first impressions were the extremely well kept, immaculate grounds and the beautiful pool area surrounded by palm trees and a variety of sunbeds and cabana beds with calming background music. My room was indeed very spacious, extremely clean and very tastefully furnished. It was equipped with all the necessities (too many to mention), including a light quilt cover on the King sized bed (so comfortable). Room towels were plenty and changed on a daily basis, including a daily room cleaning service. I thoroughly enjoyed being on the ground floor due to some mobility issues and having level access to the pool and the covered outdoor bar and eating area. Please note this hotel is super appropriate for anyone who has physical disabilities.
In terms of location, this hotel is literally a hop, skip and a jump to the local beach. I personally chose Nisos Beach as I love the ambience, the food quality, the set up and the super friendly staff. The location of the hotel is also spot on and very central to all amenities. A short walk to the local cafes, bars and restaurants in Malia. Wifi was available at all times and guests were friendly and respectful. Minimal to no noise generally in the evening as this hotel is set back from the main road. I thoroughly enjoyed my extended stay at The Drossia Palms Hotel Malia and will definitely be returning to your hotel in the near future.

Nicely decorated rooms, although tiny, but well designed! It’s the high season, but still an oasis amongst all the noise. Right off the main street, but very peaceful. The pool is just amazing with natural shade from the palms. Not too crowded even the hotel is at full occupancy. Kristina at the bar/restaurant is a gem.

Upon entering the Drossia Palms from the busy beach road in Malia you will find yourself in a beautiful, tranquil oasis. Close proximity to all of Malia’s nightlife, restaurants & beaches but you will feel like you’ve entered a completely separate resort as the well thought out surroundings, high specification rooms & of course the welcoming family ensure you have an excellent time! Highly recommend a visit to Nisos beach as well for a great cocktail & sunset views!

After a dodgy start to our holiday hotel, we decided to move & so glad we did, what a lovely hotel, real hidden gem! The staff were amazing & accommodating, nothing too much trouble. Thank you for making our holiday!!

Amazing Stay – Peaceful and Fun All in One!

We had a fantastic time at this hotel! It’s a perfect place if you’re looking for peace and relaxation – quiet, clean, and very well maintained. But if you’re in the mood for something more lively, the sister hotel Nisos Beach is just around the corner. They have great beach parties and a fun atmosphere every night!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful pool and the view with those palmtrees is amazing. We had a big and clean room with a nice patio. The bed was very comfy as well. All the staff of Drossia were very friendly and helpful :) The menu for lunch & drinks by the pool was great, we tried several meals and "Nonna" as we called the lovely lady who prepared the meals, makes the best food. We fell in love with the home made Tzatziki & Gyros! It's a beautiful location in the midst of the centre close to the beach and many restaurants. Malia is known as a city to party, especially for the British youngsters, but when you're at the hotel it's so calm and quiet you won't have the feeling you're among many bars or clubs. We had an amazing time. Surely recommend to spend your holiday here to just relax and enjoy!

A Beautiful Hotel perfectly located near to the beach and also many restaurant's and bars are nearby. Even though it is close to everything, it is very peaceful and quiet. The room is spotlessly clean, the pool area is spacious and is surrounded by lovely flowers and trees. The owners and staff are so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and the meals and snacks from the pool bar are also very good.

This was my first stay at Drossia Palms Hotel Malia (Crete) for 34 days in a Superior studio (ground floor great for people with mobility issues). Firstly, the pool area ambience is amazing with plenty of sunbeds, cabanas and sundeck lounges to choose from (as per photos on the website, no gimmicks here). The bar caters for a variety of drinks and a variety of meals. The cleaning services are daily and my room was spotless. I loved my light quilt on the bed for cooler evenings. Best part of the kitchenette was the microwave. My superior studio was quite spacious with one comfortable King mattress. I was often asked by the staff about my stay and any issues which were none. A big shout out to the security guard who made sure that guests were following hotel protocols. This hotel is set back from Malia's beach road so noise from surrounding bars and restaurants is minimal or not at all. The fabulous beach and top quality restaurant/bar (NISOS) is about a 1 minute walk from the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my extended holiday here and will definitely be returning in the near future. I just got home from this hotel and it was an absolutely amazing experience, a friend and I went for the week and the bar staff Alex and Angelos were incredibly kind, Sophia herself was lovely and extremely helpful when we had any problems always putting customers first, they treat everyone as a new friend it was an amazing welcoming experience I will definitely return, food was delicious and cheap and the rooms were cleaned every morning with fresh towels and fresh linen.
