We loved everything about our stay. PROS: . Very convenient location close to a beautiful stretch of the beach, the port and the old town - Lovely mother-son team running the hotel: friendly, helpful and efficient. Always there to answer your questions and offer advice - Excellent breakfast with Cretan/Greek specialties, fresh orange juice on top of your regular continental breakfast options. CONS: Not much to complain about. The washroom is a bit small and gets wet when you shower but that wasn't a big deal for us. Highly recommend Crete and this gem of a hotel

I cant say enough good things about my stay at Astali Hotel. Everyone working there is so incredibly nice and everything you need is right around the corner. They made my stay in Rethymno very memorable and if I ever come back ill be staying at Astali Hotel again.

A lovely small family hotel that clearly care about their guests and go out of their way to help. The room was clean, tidy and more than functional with a balcony overlooking the front. Being close to the beach, shops and restaurants, with the old town about a 10 -15 minute walk away and the local bus station a little further, it’s well situated. From the water provided in the fridge on arrival, to seeing they provide an iron and can help with chargers amongst other things to the friendliness of the team it has everything you need. Thank you to Marius (aka MC) and the whole team at Astali for our short stay with you.

The accommodation was of the highest standard – spotless cleanliness, spacious and well-designed rooms, equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The meals were a true culinary delight, with fresh, tasty, and varied dishes prepared with care and served in a pleasant atmosphere. The staff stood out for their kindness, professionalism, and promptness, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, worry-free vacation with outstanding services.

Immaculately clean hotel. Every morning the cleaning was done but it was done to such a standard that was literally Immaculate, hats off to the cleaners because this absolute gem is pristine. The breakfast was lovely and everything was so fresh. It has such a lovely, welcoming vibe and the two brothers are so very nice, polite and make you feel very welcome. All the family is lovely, always a hello and goodnight. Beds comfy, the location is ideal to explore the city and I will absolutely come back to this hotel

Returning to the Astali hotel, that we've stayed at several times, and everything first class as always. The location is great being close to the beach, and old town. Very friendly welcome from the family and staff which is so nice. Rooms and hotel spotlessly clean. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice and good quality produce. Also air conditioning that works well, which we were grateful for with the high temperatures that we experienced whilst there. Always enjoy our holidays here and hopefully will have more.

This is a great hotel, fantastic location and great service. Food is great, rooms are well equipped and clean, regular cleaning and towel changing. It’s a small hotel not crowded, very pleasant and quiet inside. The only downside is the traffic because the area is crowded with cars and motorcycles the whole night. We had a great balcony with a nice view. Everything is functional. I’d give it a 5/5

Airbnb had cockroaches and we had to find alternative accommodation with 3 young children late at night. The man at reception (I didn't take his name but he was on the front desk on Wednesday August 21st) was very helpful. We really appreciated his help and understanding manner. We would have been stuck otherwise. Thank you.
