My husband and I had a good time at the Pepper Sea Club. The service from all the staff was Outstanding. They were Friendly, attentive and Accommodating. The room was spotless and had all the amenities that was needed. The Food was to die for, they catered for everyone's need a wide variety to choose from, we were spoilt for choice. The highlights of our stay really were Tina's yoga lessons and Petros' fitness courses. We also enjoyed a high quality massage. Surprisingly good for swimming and snorkeling was the private beach of the hotel. Due to the rocks (under water), plenty of fish can be seen. We went for a quiet holiday, choosing this adults only hotel as it was situated by the beach on what seemed (and was) a quiet spot on this south coast of Crete. It had two nice swimming pools and plenty of loungers around the pools and on the beach. It was booked as a British Airways package holiday, and notably came with a discount but also during this end of season period complimentary half board...

We thought that from every perspective, this hotel provided an excellent service, in a quite remote location, and that the staff team made every effort, all of the time, for our comfort. The food was excellent, the facilities in the spa and gym were first rate (Petros was very helpful and supportive, and the masseuse was top class) and the bar staff looked after you at the pool side in a every way...

If TA allowed 2 separate reviews I would do a 1 star review for management and a 5 star review for hotel and staff. Here’s why…. The 5 star bit…. The hotel is beautiful - set on a lovely stony beach. There are plenty of comfortable sunbeds and lots of places to sit and have a drink or just relax. Beautiful adult only resort with 2 swimming pools. And beach access. The rooms are very nice with a spacious patio. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is decent but is mostly buffet only unless you choice to eat at the upscale restaurant. Which you need to turn in your selections the night before Ierapetra is a $10 euro cab ride with many wonderful restaurants.

On arrival we were shown to our room which was not the sea front suite that we had paid for!! On complaining we were told that it would be ready the next day which of course was totally unacceptable. We had to insist on speaking to the Manager who was hiding in his office behind reception and would have heard our conversation with the receptionist. He offered us an upgrade on our board which financially...

Where do I start. We arrived early hours of the morning. It was our honeymoon and when we got to the room they had decorated the door with a bow champagne and a love heart cake which was lovely. Rooms was always clean. Food was amazing always something to eat. Andreas the bar man is fantastic always welcoming in fairness all the staff are but he stood out from the rest. A bit late in posting this review, we visited the hotel in May, for 14 nights and had a wonderful time. Our room was lovely, fantastic view , the bar staff were always friendly whether down at the pool bar , or in the main bar in the evening (Kostas) . Service at breakfast, lunch and evening was always good and enjoyed our conversations with Matao. We really enjoyed the food could not fault anything...

This was our first visit after our friends had recommended the place. Fantastic adult only hotel, the staff were amazing from welcoming us to the resort to leaving the bar staff made sure we were looked after..even going the extra mile to go to their sister hotel before work to ensure I had my favourite drink in to last for the delivery. After two wonderful stays in 2025, we've already booked for 2026. We can't wait to return to this resort. For us, it's one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean (…and we've stayed at many others). The staff are exceptionally kind, and the security is top-notch. Ostria is so wonderful that we plan to return every year as part of our Mediterranean summer itinerary.

Beautiful hotel, right in the city center. I had a suite, but unfortunately, the room’s hygiene was disappointing. The air conditioning blew out strange dust clouds — it turned out to be extremely dirty (see photo). In addition, the shower seals were full of mold, so I didn’t shower. Stayed at Cook’s Club and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. All the staff were extremely friendly and lovely to talk too. Check in was simple, you downloaded the cooks club app and checked in, it showed you what events were on and which days etc. You got a 22 euros credit to spend per person which I found was very handy especially with going Half Board. Thoroughly enjoyed a week here in mid-October. Great food options and some fun on-site activities. Pools were chilly, but it was near the end of the season so not surprising and because it is not a winter resort I don't expect outdoor pools to be heated. All staff we encountered were really helpful. Would come again for another relaxing week to do not a lot.

Not quite a five star hotel. Needs some improvements. Pools are freezing and some tiles are missing. Alcohol selection poor. Cushions on bed had stains need cleaning.

Lovely adults-only hotel ideal for serenity and calm. Gorgeous beach, intimate environment and top notch food and drinks. Modern and nicely designed rooms all with a view. Exquisite choice.

Staff work hard. Seemed short of staff at times, as queues for the bar especially at peak times with one person serving. Christos in the restaurant was so attentive esecially looking out for the older generation, and worked hard often doing the work of younger staff who were not so invested in serving.

Everything in the hotel is great BUT we were told we had to stay in another hotel nearby for the first 2 nights due to an "air con failure". This blatantly wasn't true as we can see others have been moved before for other reasons. If you're overbooked just say you're overbooked! Or fix the problem as this is a reoccurring issue. Peaceful place. We had one of the nicer Hilltop places with it's own plunge pool and it was gorgeous with a fantastic seaview. Having said that, all the rooms looked nice. A very cozy, home-like place. The hotel grounds are beautifully green, filled with pleasantly fragrant roses, and feature two-story sections.
