Great, clean hotel with amazing breakfast. The room was spotless, with a balcony, a comfortable bed, fresh towels and a great bathroom. Breakfast was included, and the breakfast area had a beautiful view over the harbor. We only stayed for one night, but we could have easily stayed longer. Once settled in it was a great experience.

Everyone we talked to was nice. The breakfast was a good addition (they served these "Cretan sweet treats" that I loved). I liked that we had 3 separate beds in one room and the balcony had a nice view. The bathroom was a decent size but the shower could have been cleaned a little more and the toilet ran often. Overall, I'm very happy with my stay and I'm glad I went here for my stay in Heraklion

It's a good spot to stop if you're looking for shopping and quick access to the harbor. Parking is difficult. The staff was nice and helpful in answering all of our questions. The rooms are a little run down and very noisy with the planes flying out of the airport, so bring your earplugs! Overall, it's not bad for a quick stop, but I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

The Marin Hotel was a wonderful place to stay for our stop in Heraklion A great location near the ferry port and airport. A short walk to markets, restaurants and attractions.

Ideal location, close to the harbour, the old city, the bus to Knossos and the bus terminal. Very helpful receptionists. The view during breakfast is fabulous. Lots of choice from the buffet. The rooms aren't too big but after all you don't come here to sit all day in a room. Very reasonable price.

The staff was very nice. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was also great and with a nice view. The bathroom looks a bit older. Probably they renovated only the rooms. The air-conditioning was working a bit strange, maybe had some technical issue.

This was our fourth visit to the Fortezza. We were given a friendly welcome and allocated our requested room. We were also able to borrow a kettle from the reception and get pool towels. Great hotel! We were a big family gang with 6 toddlers. The water park has slides for adults, slides for kids and baby area. The free cocktails' selection was nice. There is one small parking lot that holds about six vehicles and the front desk told me that they don't verify if the cars parked there are guests of the hotel. Staff here are lovely and really helpful, but food quality and variety really lets it down. As a hotel/apartment complex that offers an all inclusive service, the variety of food and particularly drinks is too limited. Visited some friends who were staying atvthese apartments. They were delighted with the refurbishment of the rooms and facilities from last year. Everything looked fresh and new. This hotel and it's owners, a lovely older couple, are truly amazing experience. We had some nice time during our stay during the pandemic. I liked the balcony and the plants, i liked that every day someone came and cleaned. I didn't liked that was not quietly, and the smell in the room was bad because of the umidity in the walls.

The hotel is very old fashioned, but there is everything you need for a week or two. There is a balcony (no sea view) and the air conditioning works perfectly well. 100 m to the beach. The hosts are very nice and kind people. There was a couple of bottles of water and plenty of fresh fruit in the room when we arrived.

The hosts are very kind and available for support if needed. The location is great and the price is favourable relative to the area. I would stay here again if I returned to Stalos.

The location of El Greco Hotel is great. It's worth taking a room with a sea view, otherwise you end up seeing a hole-like courtyard, which, however, has plants. The additional charge for air conditioning is a rather salty 8eur/day/person, and the power of the air conditioning leaves much to be desired. The facilities are a bit shabby but clean. A cleaner visited the room every day. You can eat well...

we loved this hotel! ok, the room could have been bigger, the shower could have been better, but the view from the balcony and the absolutely lovely staff made us forget these little flaws. The location of the hotel is 10+. Recommend to book seaview room👍

Great stay. Loved this hotel. View was fantastic, staff very friendly and breakfast good. Hotel slightly tired in places but you didn’t really notice this because the situation was so good, and staff so friendly. We would definitely return. Thank you

Positive : Overall a good place to stay, clean and quiet. Furniture and decor a bit tired. Only one pillow per person. Bed mattress also far too hard. Good AC, balcony also quite spacious. Negative: Only 2 glasses, 2 mugs and 2 tea spoon. Zero possibility when I requested a plate to enjoy a fruit, no ice, no shower facilities for evening check out, no AC at the reception area. Not a nice experience...

The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.
