Description

Tower Suites Reykjavík occupies the entire 9th (top) floor of an office building constructed in 2008, offering a distinct hotel experience with only eight suites. Each suite is spacious, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that provide panoramic views of Reykjavik, including city lights and sometimes the Northern Lights. Suites include king-sized beds with fine linens, modern bathrooms with separate showers and toilets, and amenities like a mini fridge stocked with complimentary beverages. The hotel operates with emailed check-in instructions and a staff presence on the top floor, emphasizing a private, self-served atmosphere rather than traditional hotel services like room service. Breakfast is delivered to your room at your chosen time and includes a variety of fresh items such as cheese, cold cuts, muesli, yogurt, pastries, and local Skyr. Additional facilities include free parking, a bar, meeting rooms, and massage services. Cleanliness scores are perfect, and guest service and location ratings are excellent, making it a highly rated option in Reykjavik.

Location

Located at Katrínartún 2 in the Laugardalur district of Reykjavik, Tower Suites Reykjavík is just 2 kilometers from Reykjavik Domestic Airport (RKV). The hotel is within a comfortable 10-15 minute walk to downtown Reykjavik, placing you close to city attractions. Bus stop number 12, a common start point for tours, is about a three-minute walk away, facilitating easy transportation. For beach access, Nautholsvik Geothermal Beach is 2.77 kilometers from the hotel. Nearby dining options include Bambus Restaurant and Íslenska Hamborgarafabrikkan, both within 70 meters, providing convenient casual and local cuisine choices.

This is not your traditional hotel as it sits on the 9th floor (top) of an office building. To check-in, you receive emailed instructions and once on the top floor, you're met by hotel staff. It's hard to pay attention to what they're saying because the views are spectacular. I had room #6-corner suite and it did not disappoint, with breathtaking floor to ceiling views on 2 walls. Suite is huge and the king bed was extremely comfortable with fine linens. Bathroom is very modern with separate shower from toilet. Shower was also roomy and water pressure was exceptional. There is no room service but there are at least 6 restaurants within a 1 block radius of a very safe area. There is also a central meeting area on the 9th floor with soda, alcohol, milk, coffee, light snacks, etc. Breakfast is served in-room at the time you designate and it is plentiful and delicious. There is a very small parking lot with paid parking during weekdays. I strongly recommend this hotel and will plan to stay here again.

We stayed at Tower Suites Reykjavik for five nights and had a wonderful experience. We were on the 20th floor and the view over the city was absolutely stunning. The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet and a large bathroom including a bathtub. One of the highlights was being able to enjoy the city lights — and even the Northern Lights — while taking a bath.

The location is very convenient. Bus stop number 12, where many tours start, is just around the corner, about a three-minute walk away. We were able to reach downtown within 10 to 15 minutes by walking.

Breakfast was delivered to our room every morning, and we only had to inform the hotel the day before what time we wanted it. It included a cheese and cold cuts platter, as well as muesli and yogurt, which we really enjoyed.

The staff was friendly and the instructions for accessing the hotel were very clear. We arrived after 8 p.m., when the reception was no longer staffed, but everything worked smoothly. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and truly enjoyed the amazing view.

Wonderful place to stay! We were able to check in earlier which was great since our flight landed very early in the morning. The views were spectacular and the room was very clean and quiet space. We enjoyed our breakfast in bed too it was delicious pastries and Skyr! Highly recommend and will definitely be staying here again during our next Iceland trip!

I think you should make it clear that it’s not a hotel but more like rooms on a top floor of an office building just to set expectations up front

Beautiful corner suite with unrivaled views of Reykjavik! Perfect location and friendly, attentive staff, especially Kelly who anticipated our every need.

it is a unique boutique hotel - on 20th floor with only 8 suites. it is probably one of the tallest buildings in Reykjavik - so you will get wide unobstructed panoramic view of the city. location is great - walkable from heart of Reykjavik. staff were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay. only negative is breakfast - I had much better breakfast in other hotels/Airbnb in Iceland.

This is probably the best place to stay in Iceland. The top floor of this building houses around 8 rooms culminating in a very special and unique boutique hotel. Service was amazing. The breakfast delivered to your room is very healthy and fantastic. Staff were brilliant and nothing was a problem

A lovely place to stay.
The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us (to the extent they even sorted a couple of Christmas items one of our party was looking for). Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Tower our first night in Reykjavik! Room and amenities first class, beautiful view of the city, and of course greeted in the morning with a trolley of delicious breakfast food. Staff super friendly, and location able to walk to center of town. Highly recommend

Fast, alot of different burgers to choose from. A "hip" place, nice atmosphere.

I had the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries and Japanese chili mayo. I especially liked the brioche bun, it was fluffy on the inside but crispy on the outside. The mayo went really well with the sweet potato fries as it complimented the sweetness nicely.
