Love this!!!! It’s awesome, the guys there are kind and passionate.
We had two different kinds of rooms here. 1 two bedroom apt (at the top of the rainbow road) and 1 double bedroom onsite in the hotel. The hotel room was very cramped but fine for just sleeping. The 2 bedroom apt was huge and in a great location BUT it was super noisy on Saturday night (late) when people were going out/home. If that's not an issue for you, highly recommend. If it is, ask for a room...
Great location! Only a block or so away from rainbow road and about a 5-10 min walk from the church or bus stop 8. Walk to BSI bus terminal is a little bit further (10-15 minutes), but not bad. The rooms have so many outlets which was greatly appreciated. Very friendly staff and breakfast was good.
Very accessible and centrally located. Near restaurants, places of interest. I will recommend.
Location was great, it was walking distance to most places. There was a really nice bar just opposite. Service staff were helpful and pleasant. The room I stayed in was quite small. I did not quite like the layout of the room. The TV was in an odd location too. The lighting in the room could be improved. There were stains on the toilet mirror, felt that these should be changed as it gives the impression...
Hotel Ódinsvé is ideally located in the city center, within easy walking distance of major attractions such as the cathedral, making it very convenient for tourists. The on-site restaurant offers delicious meals and is worth a try. However, since Iceland has 20 hours of sunshine in summer and the room's light-shielding effect is slightly insufficient, it may affect sleep quality. If you stay in the...

Apotek Hotel by Keahotels, Reykjavik1 / 25

Reykjavik, Austurstraeti 16 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
A classically modern hotel. The rooms do feel a little tight but enough to move around. The staff is very accommodating and easy to work with. Hotel itself is on a strange one way that Google Maps has a hard time directing to. Visited here in mid February so it was quiet and lots nearby to walk to. There are a lot of nearby bars and restaurants so I could see this being a popular spot.
Staff was wonderful. Helped us book fly us to airport and held our bags for us. Room was amazing! I would def stay here again if I return to Iceland. Close to everything downtown and the restaurant was so good. We had dinner and breakfast there!
The Apotek Restaurant has a great breakfast menu. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff Service is excellent.
The staff was attentive and the hotel was clean as was the room and bathroom. It is at a great location within walking distance from bus stops and shopping and some of the important sightseeing locations. The breakfast spread is really good and the hotel’s restaurant food is simply amazing. The reason I can’t give a 5 because the room itself was small though, we had a double twin-bed room, there...
The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. It's well located close to bus stop 2 for drop off from the bus terminal, but also very walkable as well. It's also centrally located to the main shopping area with plenty of restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this Apotek hotel and would stay here for future visits.
The staff was great, rooms are very small and the hotel charges 50 euros for early check in. Breakfast is ok, not great.

The front staff were friendly and always available. The room and all bedding were clean. The bathrooms were of a public restroom style and the showers were in a locker room style. The kitchen area was a bit cramped for countertop space with no place to store non-refrigerated foods. The refrigerator was packed full and was hard to find room for my items. The location and price were great.
A good hostel/hotel. The students stayed in dorms which served the purpose and were clean with shared showers. Staff had comfortable rooms on the same floor or better rooms in the hotel above. Was a little crowded at one point as they had three big groups in, but they managed the breakfast sittings well. Good food in the packed lunches and for dinner was very good.
Very clean, pleasant accommodations. Staff was friendly, and helpful if you needed any sort of assistance. Great place to stay, walking distance to most shops and bars with one inside of the Hostel itself. I would definitely stay there again, but would probably inquire into getting a private room.
The location is really great - walking distance to the city center, but also one of the main stops for any tours/excursions that include ground transportation. Beds were clean and comfy though the photos online make the (hostel) rooms look a bit more luxury than they actually are. The bathrooms (specifically the showers) were not great - tiny shower stalls with vinyl curtains that you have to try not...
The lobby, bar, bistro and lounge areas are wonderful. But the rooms, kitchens, bathrooms are yucky. At least four outlets in the 12 bed room didn't work. At least two of the bed lamps didn't work. The kitchen was a dirty disaster from people being pigs and not cleaning up properly. There were fabric seat cushions in the kitchen that we're practically black with stains and grime. There was a two person...
The staff were incredibly kind helpful, I arrived 8 hrs too early for check in and they let me stay in the socializing room while I waited for a bed and allowed me to store my things if I had wanted to leave. The entire place is clean and it’s got a great community feel with pretty good social vibes. Was able to connect with people and get groups to travel with and go out with. The bar is nice but...

The hotel sits on a street corner, with easy access to the city centre and a nice view of the harbour. Clean and warm, with enjoyable breakfast. The sauna and relaxation areas are not huge, but offer a nice opportunity to unwind after a long day out in the cold weather. The staff are friendly and happy to help with eating suggestions and deals available. I would definitely go back in the future.
Hotel is in a great location (close to bus stop 5 which you'll get why knowing bus stop numbers is ideal as this is where you wait for yours to pick up or bus to the airport). Breakfast is good and close to harbour means nice views. Just come with an idea of spending more than you think as that is how Iceland is! Blue Lagoon is a must...!
The room facilities are complete and the space is quite large. It's very close to the pier, making it a great choice if you're planning a whale-watching trip. The hotel's hygiene is good, and it's super close to Boss Zhu's restaurant, highly recommended!
The location is excellent, within walking distance to the city's popular attractions, restaurants, cafes, etc. The room is relatively small, but comfortable. The bathroom is relatively small, especially the wash basin. The so-called buffet breakfast is not bad, but there is not much choice of food. The hotel service and staff are very friendly and helpful.
Right opposite Hapa Concert Hall
Great hotel but service at the front desk can be better.

Fantastic hotel in the heart of Reykjavik, full of Icelandic character. The room was spotlessly clean, and breakfast was delicious! We will definitely be back when we next visit Iceland 🇮🇸
Great location, close to lots of restaurants and most of the main tourist sights - but on a reasonably quiet road so you feel out of the city centre. Very good service and helpful staff. Great choice of food for breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend!
Great location, within walking distance to the church, and they have their own free parking. The room was small, the bedding wasn't very clean, and there were no power outlets by the bed, only USB ports, which was inconvenient.
This is an old school hotel full of charm. We had junior suite. The room was a bit old but really beautiful. The rooms have physical keys rather than cards to show how old. The location is close to most of the good sights. Lastly our 4th floor room had a great view of the city.
The hotel was in a fantastic location and rooms were really comfortable and quiet. Would highly recommend
Hotel Holt is an elegant, well-located property in a central yet quiet area of Reykjavik, making it convenient to explore most of the main attractions on foot. The atmosphere is definitely one of its strengths: the hotel features many works of art, which make it distinctive and pleasant, especially in the common areas. The rooms are clean and tidy, although the décor feels somewhat dated and could...

There are many choices for a hotel stay in Reykjavík. We are so grateful to have chosen the Kvosin Hotel. Our room was spotless, spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. We chose the “bigger room” category and found the kitchenette a welcome surprise. Fantastic location for accessing attractions and food in town and also for transportation options. “Bus stop 1” is just a few steps away and serves...
Absolutely perfect. Great experience here with a very centrally located property. It was stylish, clean, comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this location for any visit to Reykjavik.
Amazing services and the staff was very helpful and really nice throughout our stay thank you again and will definitely try to book if we come back here again :)
Lovely hotel in the perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. Walkable to everything. The hotel was immaculate, the room was great and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was awesome! Bring your own conditioner if you use that because they only give you shampoo and you only get liquid bath gel so also bring soap if you like that instead. And we could see the Northern Lights from our balcony one night...
We stayed 3night with the family. Clean and spacious room, staff are very nice, easy to parking,we loved stay there.

Great location. Walking distance to the Rainbow Road & the church. However, our room had a pretty bad smell from the sink/bathroom. Pretty noisy at night(til 2am) from the restaurant bar across the hotel.
Lovely overall experience. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The general hotel design is beautiful and modern and the rooms are cozy and very clean, with comfortable beds and modern showers. My only point here would be that the rooms might need a bit of refreshing (like a new paint for the walls for example). However, wonderful overall stay and delicious breakfast. Would definitely come...
As you enter the hotel you can obviously see that they are seeking for money. No kettle or spresso machine in the room (you have to pay around 20€ daily if you want them) , no water in the fridge at all , a list of the prices of all the products in the room ( such as blankets and condoms and some toothbrushes and etc.) hidden in the cabinet! Each hour of late checkout costs 50€ . The room is nice...
Great location and helpful staff but the rooms have not been slept in by anyone running this hotel - and therefore aren’t well designed. No light switches or sockets by the bed (in fact only one set of sockets under the desk and the window on the floor so you have to properly get down on hands and knees!) other than that the toilet doesn’t have a proper door and the shower is just behind a glass panel...
The room, the staff (especially Abraham) , everything was perfect.
We found our room to be typical of most European hotels. Minimalist, no storage, and no door on the bathroom. That means when you turn on the light to use the restroom in the middle of the night, it lights up the entire room. Tha room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Breakfast was delicious Shower facilities were good It would be better if there was a stand for hanging showers Great location in Laugavegur near bus #14 10 minutes drop The church is 5 minutes away
Great location, friendly staff. Ideal.
Downtown, 150 min walk from the church, turn right and there are several delicious restaurants, Xiaozhu supermarket is nearby. Convenient
Nice hotel good service, got to see aurora in front of the hotel. Very good place around restourant
Highly recommended, great location, great Service. Although the room was a bit small, but given the room Rate was quite affordable in Reykjavik, This hotel is certainly great Value for money.

Our recent stay at Þingholt by Center Hotels was absolutely fantastic — and honestly, you can’t beat the location, location, location! I stayed for 13 days, room 305. I felt so much at home I didnt want to leave. Location, can't really beat it, the sushi across the street was to die for. The staff were warm and welcoming, the hotel bar is a nice addition. As pricy as iceland can be, it was the best choice for me. Thanks to all the staff Phil from Toronto
Great spot, central to alot of amazing places in Reykjavik. Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. Perfect spot for walking and exploring the city. Morning breakfast was full of yummy options, and easy on the wallet. Allowing the ability to splurge guilt free on other Iclandic goodies (try the shark) Great happy hour prices as well!! Cannot wait to stay here again on our next adventure.
Location cleanliness and amenities
Really good location, near the city centre area and the service is awesome. Super friendly service staff and bar tender. Hotel looks great and the rooms are clean. Just take note some of their rooms at the top floor has the constraints of the roof where the ceiling is slanted, you may knock your head like i did. And the lighting can be quite dim. Other than that, great room great hotel great place

The hotel is in a convenient location close to the city center. Service is fine and generally meets basic expectations. The room is clean and comfortable. However, the cooking facilities are not very practical, so guests who plan to prepare meals may find it a little inconvenient.
Everything was so good! I love the space , was so clean and the food thank you definitely we coming back we had amazing experience.
The location is amazing in the middle of the shopping, dining, supermarkets, bus stops etc. Room is not large but has everything one needs. Loved the kitchenette, access to coffee, towels, and kitchen needs. Room was clean, modern and includes a small dining table. We enjoyed the bar downstairs when it was open. Hope we can afford this place if we ever to Iceland!
Everything about this place was great! Loved the room, and the location was perfect. Great place to stay.
Everything was fine but no one knew where it’s no sign out side. Even the police car was right out side apartments. But she didn’t not know. .
This was a nice place for a few days stay. The only problem we ran into is that it’s challenging to get in touch with anyone should you need anything. We needed more coffee pods and garbage bags, and neither of which were restocked in the hall cabinet. The best part was the breakfast bag. I was really impressed by the quality of the items included. 2 buns, 2 croissants, cheese, butter, apples and...

Amazing staff & hospitality. Can’t say enough how the front desk went above and beyond for my wife and I. 10/10 and would def recommend a stay here.
Great location, near all restaurants and shops The room was superb and clean. Parking wasn’t ideal at all, we had to park 5-10 mins away.
City hotel, street noise, but no restaurant, room service or hotel bar or lounge. Interesting neighborhood and nice room.
Parking was a little confusing but after we figured out where the lobby was and how to get to it we were fine.
Just had a 3-night stay at ION City. Staffs were all friendly and amazing. Location is in the core downtown tourism area of reykjavic so that could be pro or cons depending on what you like. It's a little bit loud outside especially if the room is towards the street, but window is reasonably sound-proof. The official website advertised luggage storage, but it wasn't available, completely disrupting my travel plans. The staff's service was also very poor. The location is remote, with no proper roads for loading and unloading luggage; I had to carry heavy luggage up stairs covered in snow. However, the room was beautifully decorated, the heating was good, and the bathtub was nice.
Very cool, quiet place. Downtown is a 20 minute drive away. 40 to Thingavellir park. There's no reception, but check-in was easy. Bed and pillow were comfortable (subjective). Hot tub was great since it was snowing. We had a great time.
This was WAY overpriced for what it was. I didn't expect it to be so close to the freeway. The windows weren't even see through. This honestly felt like a scam
Stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 in the Krafla Dome. Lovely experience, nice and cosy and well equipped. Hot tub needed topped up with water and 2 men came within 5-10 minutes after I phoned and topped it up. Would definitely recommend a stay here, it was a nice way to end our busy 4 days exploring this beautiful country.
I was expecting rustic but at least thought it would have a door. Nice place, good bed, warm. Wood stove even though we found out wood is a premium in iceland.
Clean room, amazing views, comfy beds. We enjoyed the extra touch of champagne and macaroons left for us. Coffee was also there, no need to purchase and bring with you. The code entry for the door worked well. And hreyfill taxi service knows how to get you to and from the Domes and Reykjavik. Be sure to schedule with the taxi the night before you want to leave to avoid a wait.

I was pleasantly surprised.  The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Reykjavik.  It is within walking distance  to shops and restaurants.  The transportation service to airport was added benefit.  I highly recommend this hotel
This hotel had the nicest staff I encountered during my trip. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Their warm attitude made me feel comfortable and cared for. I really loved staying here and would happily come back again.
We were really pleased with our stay here both times we've visited. Julia, Victoria and the staff there were unfailingly polite and helpful. The building we stayed in was well appointed and super convenient to everything we wanted to do. The only challenge here is parking, but it's possible if you pay attention. Plan ahead if you have folks in your party who have accessibility concerns.
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Residence Apartment Hotel. The location in downtown was very convenient for walking to see many of the main attractions. The room was smallish but very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for dining options and activities. The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh baked bread delivered to your door every morning...
This apartment-style hotel provided us with a cozy stay for our week in Reykjavik. The setup is quite unique too, as the hotel is divided among several different buildings (we were in “Printing Press”) and the reception area also stands independently in its own building. An okay stay. Pretty stuffy during winter. Too cold outside, quite warm and stuffy inside, no ventilation such as fans. Location is good.
Location, amenities, tidy, spacious, very good apartment, definitely will stay again on my next visit to iceland
Amazingly convenient and well-stocked apartment. Nice and warm and close to everything. Only thing - TV is old. But then again, most hotels' TVs are. Also a bit of street noise - but there's not too much traffic so not terrible. Close to airport bus stop (about 5 mins walk) so we loved it.
I previously stayed in their two-bedroom unit, and overall it was a great experience. Both the living room and bedrooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The location is also excellent. There were just two minor issues: 1. Since the unit was on the ground floor, you could occasionally hear people walking by outside. Not a big deal, but something to note. 2. One morning, the power outlet in...
Very nice roomy and comfortable apartment near everything in the downtown area. We had the 1 bedroom on the 3rd floor, the space was roomy, had a comfortable bed and dishes for 3 to 4. The shower doors were a bit hinky, but work well once you figure them out. Water pressure was strong and very hot. 1 minute walk to kronan, 5 minutes to bus stop 3, 5 minutes to rainbow street, shopping and restaurants...
Great location however if you have gear to carry, it’s a bit of a walk from the closest bus stop and there is NO elevator. We were on the 4th floor and had a lot of gear. Very basic, no coffee and the shower doors were weird. Floors guaranteed to get wet. One towel for your stay. But is a good location to shops and restaurants.

Apartment was great, as was the location. Only two minor adjustments I would make personally - put felt pads on all the furniture, this will reduce noise for the apartment below. Second is the shower, place a bracket at an angle for the hand held sprayer so it doesn’t just spray you vertically!
Good, well equipped facility in an excellent location. Good, courteous staff. Only downside is location works against you at weekends late at night with street noise (unless you're one of them of course), so perhaps not best for young families. Recommended.
Spacious and clean room. Very comfortable bed, great kitchen. Convenient location. Staff were professional and friendly. Very happy with our stay. Recommend highly. Thank you for making us feel welcome.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Apartment was clean and spacious. No USB/USBC points though so take plugs. Garage was underneath the apartment so very handy. Would stay again if we returned.

Loved being here. Very thoughtfully designed studio style apartment with helpful touches fit cleverly into a small space like quality kitchen tools, a closet, a tea kettle, soap for the laundry room downstairs. 46Heima is a fabulous place to stay in Reykjavik. For us it felt like home away from home. For the same price as a nice hotel room you get a place that feels all you own. Having your own mini kitchen and fridge really helps too allowing you to take home leftovers or buy something from the grocery store to cook one night...
Wonderful apartment, very comfortable and cozy, plenty of space for 2 people. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants just steps away.
