This was a very nice accommodation. The hosts are readily available and very kind! I was nervous because I booked through a third party and only read some online reviews. I do have to be honest that the check in instructions weren’t too clear though, and I had difficulty finding this place. Given the price, location, and hosts I still give it five stars and would consider staying here again under the right circumstances.

This was a wonderful stay with my family! Location was amazing, close to everything - shops, restaurants, and the port where all the ferries and beaches are. Street is not drivable (pedestrians only) so be prepared to walk all your luggage from the drop off point, about 5-10 minutes in our case, on cobblestone.

We enjoyed our time at Old Taverna.
The room was above the restaurant in the heart of shopping & restaurants. Being our first visit to Sorrento, it was perfect being in the heart of all the action. The room was lovely with old world charm, which added to the experience.
The area was busy but not noisy. It is in the middle of the 'no driving' area so there is no traffic noise.
The lift to the beach & ferries is a 10-15 minute walk.
We easily walked to meet up points for our scheduled tours.
I have nothing negative to stay except I wish we could have stayed longer!

Great B&B. They treat you like family and give lots of useful tips. Room was very big and always clean. Great location to everything in Sorrento.

We took a cooking class with Guglielmo.
He and his wife were very nice.
He showed us the farm with a lot of explanation.
Then we cooked an Italian dinner which was very tasty including wine He makes himself and a lemonchelo he made.
Very recommended.

Serranto
The check in experience was poor. Communication from Deborah was poor. No answer on the phone, door ringer, nothing. The neighboring restaurant opened the street door for us and we found an inside door with a key in it and my name on a sticky. No information on check in/out, recommendations given, help to get a blanket…
Getting past the check in, the room was clean, spacious, and the bed was fine. The eclectic design gave you a taste of past and present Italy.
The location was nice, plenty of restaurants and gelato around. Easy to walk to the port.
Mornings were quiet and nights were late, but the shutters blocked the sound so it was relaxing.
WiFi wasn’t good, it was on and off, and usually weak.
There is a rooftop with chairs. Nice way to end a busy day with a drink.

We had the best stay at Old Taverna Sorrentina! Perfectly located, we never had to walk more than 20 minutes to the most delicious meals and amazing sights. Maria, our host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. We would stay again if we’re lucky enough to be back in Sorrento!

Wanted to stay in Sorrento at Christmas, made contact with Guglielmo Gargiulo at Old Taverna Sorrentina. Was greated very warmly by William and Maria, the b n b was stunning. Very old Italian, made you feel you were in old Italy, was a stunning property. Easy to find and very central, down what is called the drains. Found a lovely cheap cafe, where we went for coffee amd cornetto (croissant) which only cost 9 euro for 2 and drinks. Cant wait to go back, highly recommend, especially if you want to see old italy.

Right in the heart of Sorrento this is a really quaint and unique property with rooms owned by a wider family group over two floors above the family restaurant and gelato. We stayed in the Imperial Suite run by William and Maria (who run the cookery school) Room was clean and beautifully furnished with antique items. There is a fridge and cooking facilities available if wanted and certainly the fridge was useful. Maria or her team were in everyday to clean and change towels etc and on hand to help with any queries or guidance on local facilities etc.
