The hotel is a beautiful old building! But needs updates! Very clean and the staff was great!. There is charge for using towels and lounge chairs in the pool even if you are guest! Not cool! Rather pay and visit the beach clubs across the street.

A palace of faded elegance Fantastic. Clearly this the the most modern and luxurious hotel in San Remo about 50 years ago. since then it has been well maintained, but not really modernised much. The food was fab, the pool great and the pool side bar/restaurant top class. Really top class, but a bit old fashioned - which is fine if you don't want the latest guff.

Very nice hotel, excellent position in Sanremo, just 5 minutes walk from the city centre. Swimming pool very nice and clean. You pay 20 euro / daily for a sun bed, but the organization of the pool services (bar and service) justifies the price

We had a great time: the room was spacious, the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs and requests, the building was centrally located for reaching the main attractions, and the lounge had a view of the Duomo.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. First, its location is excellent hidden away by the Duomo, but very quiet. The room was great with 2 double beds and ample space. And very comfortable. However, the bathroom space is very limited. Not only that it has a marble floor which is very slippery when wet and potentially dangerous. Have stayed in this hotel 5-6 times in the last 10 years. Always love the staff service. The restaurant is also excellent for its attentive staff and lovely genovese food. Breakfast is also excellent. Although I hope an upgrade will come soon, the rooms are clean but tired.

Excellent hotel with very friendly reception and very clean rooms. It was cold when we arrived but inside the hotel the temperature was ideal, the room was so pleasant that we didn't even need to turn on the heating but I believe that those who are cold would be very warm. We really liked it and would definitely stay there again 👍

The location is so bad. For those traveling many cities in Europe and just stopping by Genoa, I would not recommend here. It’s too far from city center or station and very inconvenient to reach. Hotel amenities are so limited considering the is Mercure. While this may not be this hotel problem, but workers in cafeteria are discriminating against Asians. It might be common in Europe.

Unfortunately the room (and the structure) are old, along with the upholstery. After days of travel, they are not the ideal place to relax. The dust in the elevator gears tells of years of neglect. I found the reception staff very kind. Overall, the quality-price ratio is not good.

We arrived on a weekend when hotels were very expensive. If I'd paid three times less for this hotel, which is what it normally costs, I probably wouldn't have complained. However, the value for money was completely unsatisfactory. It's not a place I'd want to return to, unless it undergoes a complete renovation.

I don't know if it's a bad location or that the city is kind of ugly. Although the hotel is located at a super-strategic train and bus stop, the city has a lot to talk about. They were very attentive with the cleanliness of the room, which surprised me. They serviced my room without me asking, so don't leave anything of value inside. I didn't lose anything, but it's still better to be cautious.

It takes 5 minutes to transfer to the center circle of the pier, subway and train station. The hotel is clean and well-equipped. Along the seaside line, you can reach the Maritime Museum and Diving Aquarium. During the period, you can enter the retired submarine, making it suitable for family travel.

They did not make any effort to offer a room upgrade or any other platinum extra’s. Wifi was a complete nightmare : worked for 10 minutes - than nothing for the rest of the stay

The hotel is conveniently located, a 5-minute walk from the Piazza Principe train station and 10 minutes from the city center and the port. The room is clean and comfortable. Bottled water, tea, and instant coffee are provided. The only drawback is the small shower.

The hotel has a great location. That's where the positives end. The reception staff is extremely unfriendly; they don't say hello or goodbye. The rooms are old, the walls are stained, it's noisy until late at night, there's a smell of food in the room from the cafe on the ground floor, and the Wi-Fi signal is terrible.

This was a very lucky trip. We originally booked this hotel, but this hotel did not have an elevator and our luggage was very heavy. I tried to ask the front desk lady if she could change a room with an elevator for us, and then we were upgraded to a room that was very spacious and comfortable!

The location is very good right at the coast line but the road in between the hotel and the beach is pretty busy so even though you have a sea view room as we had you will be able to enjoy the sound of the sea only during night hours starting from around midnight till around 5 am. Stay was standard and as expected. Large room and large bathroom.  Staff were very helpful however, we requested for a higher floor and with sea view which they accommodated they also accommodated and prepared a breakfast box as we were due to checkout very early before the service started.

Best Western Regina Elena is an average hotel with decent service. Nothing particularly bad, but nothing outstanding either. Parking was a bit pricey, and while the room was okay overall, the bathroom was quite small. Breakfast was simple, with an okay selection — enough to get you started for the day, but nothing memorable. It’s fine for a short stay, but don’t expect anything fancy.

I had an excellent stay here. The rooms were spacious, clean, and truly comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. What really sets this place apart is its location — it’s right next to a mall with plenty of restaurants, making meals and shopping incredibly convenient. Not so great hotel We chose this hotel because it had a bath however this was too dirty to use. The room wasn't cleaned for the 3 days we were there so the bins weren't emptied and the towels not changed. Drinks were not replaced though we could get coffee downstairs and there was a water machine but no free bottles. Breakfast was poor, no morning rolls or croissants left by 10am. No spoons to eat...

This hotel is incredibly convenient for anyone departing on a cruise from Savona, just a three-minute walk from the Costa cruise terminal. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean. Stayed one night on my way to Lucca. Great location in the harbour area, a 15–20 min. walk from the station. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby, and the castle is close by. The room was great and quiet, and the staff were very service-minded. I got an early check-in, and my dog even got a toy and his own bed! Left early, so I didn't try the breakfast.
