Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms, high end restaurant and spa

They did not make any effort to offer a room upgrade or any other platinum extra’s. Wifi was a complete nightmare : worked for 10 minutes - than nothing for the rest of the stay

We returned to the Tritone hotel confident of a special stay having taken the room on the top floor with a terrace. The first inconvenience was the air conditioning, very dated and the temperature could not be adjusted. It was clean and hygienic, but a bit old, especially the rooms, which were quite old and the beds were worn out. There was a free shuttle bus to the airport, which was a 5-minute walk away. The breakfast was very so-so. The rooms were small by European standards. The only advantage was that it was close to the sea.

For a few days, a weekend might be fine. Pleasant location, even for parking in October... Good food and breakfasts, even if homemade, but plentiful and very accommodating...for personal needs and intolerances... Nice 4-star hotel at the town centre. Large carpark nearby at EUR18 for 24-hour. If you only park from 8pm - 8am, you can park just outside the hotel (free) or at the car park at EUR0.5 per hour. It is a 20 min walk from the train station. Breakfast was good.

We got moved around rooms although we specifically asked for two twin rooms. They blamed their main booking centre. We had to sleep in different bedrooms and could t unpack properly. It was a nuisance. The restaurant staff wasn’t helpful and a bit rude too. Not happy. The lifts take forever but the restaurant food was fab.

Staff were friendly once you had their attention, but I did feel as though you had to fight to get their attention. We had two power cuts during our two night stay there (due to works outside the hotel). Rooms were nice and so was breakfast. Good location, too.

I had an excellent stay here. The rooms were spacious, clean, and truly comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. What really sets this place apart is its location — it’s right next to a mall with plenty of restaurants, making meals and shopping incredibly convenient. Being able to park for free was another huge bonus. A great experience overall, and I’d definitely stay again!

The TV did not work om arrival, was kind of fixed by the reception. The fridge was not working either.

Le Spezia is considered the gateway to Cinque Terre. This accommodation is very close to the train station, which has direct parking. The landlord, an elderly gentleman, was very welcoming and introduced various things. A simple breakfast is also provided. The only downside is that the rooms are rather small.

Hotel location is good about 5 mins walk from La Spezia main station. Hotel is clean and easy to find. But the condition of the fittings can be improved. Overall, a positive stay as the owner is friendly, helpful and most importantly responsive!

Something very special, a small castle with wonderful waves all night long. very pleasant for everyone who loves the sound of the sea.

No elevator and no help to take the suitcases upstairs. Staff was grumpy and gossiped about us in Italian to other guests. Very limited breakfast options, slow to refill whatever was empty.

Absolutely amazing, the hotel is literally on the beach, I'd say 25m from the water, lovely place to snorkel, there are a lot of fish species and hundreds of them. Hotel is great, clean and staff are lovely. Lots of things to do around as well if you're into visiting stuff, great connection with buses all around.

In August, my family and I decided to stay a few days at this splendid property. We had a wonderful time. The hospitality and friendliness were excellent, and the rooms and spaces were beautiful, with a picturesque view of the Magra River. The breakfast was excellent, with quality products. Dinner at the restaurant attached to the property was also excellent.

In the first week of September, I visited this splendid property with friends. Besides its enviable location at the mouth of the Magra River, I found the decor modern and practical. The hi-tech breakfast is truly remarkable: for just €8, you can enjoy both a savory focaccia and a sweet brioche, all accompanied by coffee and orange juice. I sincerely hope to return and stay longer.

Good pity they don't make pizza at noon

My wife and I stayed at the Maison for 3 nights, It was a wonder ful experience. The service was great, the breakfast was delightful, and everyone was SO friendly. We had planed on going back there this year in October, but we were hit with the corona virus. Hopefully next year will be different.

The restaurant has changed its name and is now called IL REZZAGLIO, from the name of the hand-launched net, typical of the Magra river. Very nice restaurant practically on the Magra, it is possible to eat on the veranda, if the weather permits, excellent service and cuisine that uses local products with the imagination of chef Cesare. This was a fabulous stay! The private beach is stunning and unlike anything you’ll find in the Portofino area. The staff was amazing and always so friendly. We loved the private shuttle, the free breakfast, and that the cleaners came multiple times throughout the day! At the seaside hotel in Diano Marina, the rooms are large, well-furnished, and equipped with every comfort. The food is excellent, and everyone is incredibly friendly! If we were to nitpick, it would be helpful to remove all plastic, glasses, and bottles from the minibar! Highly recommended.

This hotel is incredibly convenient for anyone departing on a cruise from Savona, just a three-minute walk from the Costa cruise terminal. The staff are friendly and the facilities are clean. Stayed one night on my way to Lucca. Great location in the harbour area, a 15–20 min. walk from the station. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby, and the castle is close by. The room was great and quiet, and the staff were very service-minded. I got an early check-in, and my dog even got a toy and his own bed! Left early, so I didn't try the breakfast.

Hotel is conveniently located next to the port. It serves our purpose to visit our daughter when the cruise ship she is working on docked there. A great, convenient location (you can hear the waves), nicely appointed rooms, and super helpful and friendly staff. The only downside was the kitchen exhaust noise at the top of the building. Not enough to overcome the other advantages of the hotel, however.

We stayed here from 10th April to 14th April, our room was a deluxe one which had plenty of space and a balcony overlooking the beach, the hotel was very clean & the staff were very polite and attentive, breakfast was very good with a great selection, we had a meal in the restaurant which was superb.

The staff was friendly, and the location is perfect, within walking distance of Castle Brown, Portofino Lighthouse, the Piazzaetta, a flavorful seafood restaurant, Trattoria Tripoli, and a beautiful hidden gem, Baia Cannone, just down the stairs outside the hotel. It is a small, secluded rocky cove known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. My husband enjoyed the swim in it.

The staff was very friendly. They upgraded us to a better room than we booked for free, with two rooms and a gorgeous sea view. Valet parking is available. The location is perfect! The views are stunning.

The hotel is dull throughout the building. Dark colours interior. The building looks lovely from the outside. But old and uncool on the inside. The was a strong ‘sewage’ smell in my room and I had a headache everyday. I didn’t complaint as the Italian service is usually very poor towards foreigners . I stayed quite and enjoyed the view - that’s all worth it … but having said that many others hotels...

Portofino Hotel is in a brilliant location . Fantastic views . We did hire a car , but not needed. Everything within walking distance and a regular bus & boat services to other parts of the area .Secure valet parking €40 per day . Hotel a little tired looking in parts but very clean .
