Hotel Livingston Siracusa in Syracuse

Hotel Livingston - What a perfect ending to our tour of Southern Italy! We are a group of 16 friends who traveled through the Amalfi coast, Puglia, and Sicily. We saved the best for last! The Hotel Livingston is set as close to the sea as possible with restaurants and shops nearby. The location, the rooms, and most of all, the staff at the hotel are exceptional. They accommodated our every request even helping us organize a party in the hotel lounge on our last night.

The roof terrace is a great bonus - do go up! Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms slightly dim but overall good. A brilliant location.

The location and views of the med alone makes this hotel worth a stay. The breakfast was maybe a little lacking but the reception staff including Giuseppe couldn’t have been more welcoming.

This hotel was wonderful - great views, good size room/bathroom, but most importantly: the staff was so wonderful. Very helpful and offered good advice on what to see/visit while here. We also stayed over our anniversary and Ashan went above and beyond to help my husband set up a small surprise when we got back into our room for the evening. Very caring staff, obviously enjoy what they do. Beautiful and great location as well.

This is an excellent hotel, nothing bad to say about it. If staying in Ortigia, stay here. Breakfast was amazing too.

Nice looking hotel and well located within easy walking distance of most Ortigia sights.
There is a ginormous jacuzzi in the basement, as well as a sauna, steam room and treatment rooms. We visited in mid June when it is hot, so were not that interested in the sauna/steam, but were a little surprised to have to ask the staff to prepare the area for us (to be fair it only took 5 minutes) - they go downstairs and turn on the lights, etc.
There is a breakfast room and restaurant on the 4th floor, so beware those of you who don't want to hear scraping chair legs through the ceiling if you stay on the 3rd floor. We didn't see anyone in the restaurant in the evenings.
There is also a rooftop 'garden' terrace and bar... we found a deserted terrace with 3 dying plants and no sign of a bar or any service.
Overall not bad, but many improvements could be made.
