Good for the price and location. I paid for a women's 8 bed dorm and got bumped up to a 2 bed dorm which was nice. Seems to be a popular hostel and this means there aren't really enough showers though

Tokyo, Nishiasakusa 3-16-8, Taito (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Great location in Asakusa with all you could need nearby, including multiple transport links. The room was small however was comfortable and cleverly designed with a hidden kitchen area and sink, with a kettle and fridge which I greatly appreciated. Would recommend!
If washroom got cloth hanger will be better. Good place easy access for main public transport Traveller friendly with English language available and provide free drink per person in room fridge.
What an incredible stay at Stay SAKURA Tokyo Asakusa ART DECO Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The rooms were spotlessly clean with a charming art deco aesthetic that made every morning feel special. The location in Asakusa is absolutely unbeatable — Senso-ji Temple is just a short walk away, and the neighborhood’s lantern-lit streets and local food stalls...
I'm really happy to share how wonderful my experience was! The reception staff are always friendly and speak English, making everything feel so welcoming. They were incredibly helpful with all my questions. I especially appreciated the luggage storage—they made traveling so much easier. Plus, I enjoyed the free drinks in the room, including plenty of juice and beer, which was a lovely touch. I'm already...
Stayed at Sakura Asakusa Art Deco Hotel and really liked the location. Donki, Uniqlo, food markets, and convenience stores like 7-11 are all nearby, and Asakusa Temple is just across the street, which makes it very easy to explore the area. The room was quite spacious for Tokyo and had all the basic amenities needed for a comfortable stay. If the sofa were more comfortable, it would make relaxing...
Hotel with a great location near several metro lines. The room was a bit small but had everything needed, and the bathroom featured a huge shower. The reception staff were very friendly.

It's about a ten-minute walk to the subway station… The room had a strange smell, and the air conditioning was broken at first, but it was fixed after I notified the staff. The water in the public bath was lukewarm, not hot.
Good hotel, best location, within walking distance to branded shopping n restaurant
Convenient location with easy access to subway station and major shopping district
Very good value for money. Has everything you need on a good location.
Scenic views. Hotel also provides ample facilities.

A great accommodation located in the heart of the city. It's close to Suitengumae Station on the Hanzomon Line and Ningyocho Station on the Hibiya and Asakusa Lines. It offers easy access to most major attractions. The area where the accommodation is located is a quiet and peaceful office/residential area, making it quite peaceful. It was also a great place to stay alone. The manager was friendly...
This older business hotel is pretty awesome to me. It has old school vibes from 80s/90s. If you are not into that and like newer designs/rooms/atmosphere, it might not be your style/preference, which is fair. The bathroom is definitely old style/small (still clean though). The rooms are spacious compared to other business hotels. There is plenty of room for 2 large carry-on suitcases and you can still...

2nd time staying here. Very well located near to TCAT, subway stations, 24/7 supermarket and convenience store! A quiet neighborhood, a perfect place if youre not a night person like me :) And also, its an old school style hotel, so you can feel the vibe of old Japanese style.
Great location for visiting many attractions, and the room is comfortable enough for a pleasant stay.

We stayed there for 16 days. It was very pleasant, and the washing machines in the basement were a lifesaver, as we were there in August. Since I have allergies I had to cook my own food, the selection of kitchen utensils is very good. The owner is easy to reach, and he's happy to help with any questions. Thanks for the stay.
We arrived later than scheduled, but the staff were very kind and accommodating. My daughter was delighted and said she would like to stay here again. Thank you very much.
We booked a room for a live concert at the stadium. We confirmed the hotel's services twice in advance, but when we arrived on the day, the details were different from what we had confirmed. In the end, the owner offered us alcohol without any apology. We didn't need it, so we felt bad.
The owner was very nice! The rooms were very spacious and had wonderful amenities. There was an
We stayed here, three times over our three weeks in Japan. A really good place to stay. They were very obliging in the times you wanted to check in. Also kept our bags when we went on an overnight to Hakone. 20 minutes walk into the craziness of Shinjuku Station from where you can get every where. The unit was a good size for two people and very clean and tidy. Had everything you could need. Microwave...
We were in the basement room. It was great. Very quiet comfortable and large. The room was well equipped with microwave, fridge, hot plate and crockery. Bed hard and comfy. Close to transport and shops. Quiet area but close to supermarket and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again in the basement room.

The room was clean and spacious, with a separate wet and dry area, a large bathtub, a washing machine, a microwave, and a Balmuda toaster. They also have Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk; I encountered both a male and female...
Facilities: The apartment has a kitchen for breakfast, a microwave, an oven, and a washing machine. The room is spacious with a double bed and a bunk bed, accommodating up to four people. We are a family of four (two adults, two children) and stayed at the hotel for five nights. The hotel's location is extremely convenient, just a five-minute walk from exit A5 or A6 of Daimon subway station. The air conditioner is powerful, but the room smells too bad. The house is an old house and the smell is too strong. And there was no one there the whole time. I had to call to ask, and I didn't know when to make the reservation. Even the front desk was closed.
Coziest place I've ever stay. Excellent. I would love to come back and stay there again.

About 5 minutes walk from Takashimadaira Station on the Toei Mita Line. When I arrived at 10pm, there was no staff there, but there was a sign near the entrance, so I followed the instructions to get the key and enter the room. It was really nice being with them. I was kinda skeptical at first because of the reviews but they were far better than what i expected. Definitely would visit them again. 10/10
Couldn't love this place anymore, the owners live on site and are are incredible business people and very friendly. If you're looking for the Ritz-Carlton experience or aesthetics, this is not it. But if you're looking for basic room and board with plenty of rooms and a warm host ,, in a nice quiet part of town you found it
Tom and Kimiko were extremely nice and lovely and were always up for a chat. The property is quite nice and the bathrooms and toilets were clean. The room we stayed in was also quite good.
Excellent place. Super market is near, train station is few meters away.
Highly recommend this Guest House. The couple who runs it speak excellent English. They are so friendly and helpful. Choose this place if you need to stay in Tokyo. Very close to a train station.

Although it's a little hard to find, I didn't find it particularly inconvenient. However, the futon is quite thin, so you need to be careful.
The best thing about this place was the parking being provided. But actually it’s not so near from the skytree and no convenience stores nearby. The sheets didn’t smell nice too. The host did his best to give us a nice service and provided disposable toothbrush and other toiletries.
It's a bit of a walk from the JR station, but there are plenty of restaurants and pharmacies along the way, making check-in/out convenient.
A small, cozy hotel, clean and comfortable. However, the room is cramped, so we had to eat sitting on the floor, which turned out to be quite comfortable. It's a place that's been around for a while; the room smelled a bit off, and the mini-split air conditioner was very noisy—you either slept or you got too hot. It's only good for a short stay; I think there are better places for the price.
There was nothing missing and I was able to live comfortably, but it didn't feel clean. There was a lot of dust, the room wasn't well-maintained, and the bathroom was dirty.

Very comfortable stay at a modern hostel a short walk from Shibuya Centre. I slept very well - probably because I had the best bunk bed in the dorm - tucked around the corner in front of the window. My dorm mates were mostly quiet and respectful. The toilets and showers just outside in the corridor were very clean as well. Good shower pressure. Very happy with my stay. Would recommend.
The room for one person traveling is pretty good.
good for solo travellers. not social at all, and quiet and lights out hour starts at 11pm. very clean though! and it is around 15 minute walk to shibuya centre / crossing. it is surrounded by convenient stores though. it is also near the area of love hotels and clubs of the shibuya region, but it is not loud at all and it is in a quiet little corner. so if that scene is not your vibe then you can easily...
Location not the best unless you don’t mind walking 10-15 mins. Same floor with all dorms - female, male, mixed and toilet is not control by card, anyone can go in. Nice hostel, great location as close to train stations
The hotel is close to the subway station and a convenience store, and the staff are friendly.
Extended my stay by one night. Everything was as good as before 👍🏼
The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Toei Subway Higashi-Nihonbashi Station. They provide free earplugs, so even if you're near a loud snorer, you'll still get a good night's sleep. The front desk staff were very friendly and maintained a perfect balance of helpfulness without being intrusive. I'd definitely want to stay here again.
Only complaint was the blanket was too short. Other than that it was good value in a great location.

The slippers weren't cleaned, and many pairs smelled a bit, so I recommend bringing your own. Hair dryers were a bit hard to find, and they were shared, not one per room. Everything else was fine; the rooms and bathrooms were clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and there was no light at night.
Calling it an old folk house sounds nice, but it is indeed an old building. There were only two other guests, myself and one other person, so it was very quiet and comfortable. The area has limited food options around, but with a little bit of looking around you can find some nice ones. Found...
amenities are super nice, you get one free drink at the bar, which is great if you are a tourist or it’s your first time in Japan, the beds all come with charging stations and a flat wooden area where you can also store things, there’s also a woman only floor, which I personally found very nice and awesome. The location is not too good
One of the most social hostels I’ve ever stayed at. As a solo traveler, it’s super easy to meet people and find others to do activities with. The atmosphere is friendly and open, so you never feel alone. Whether it’s joining group outings, hanging out in the common areas, or just chatting over breakfast, there’s always someone around to connect with.
This is your classic fun, affordable hostel with great staff. Is it the cleanest? Well, no, but that's not what folks are here for. The staff are wonderful, fun people. Mostly college students with solid English. The group outings on Tuesdays and Thursdays are fantastic. It's a cramped little place with a great social atmosphere. It's a hostel so expect hostel amenities. But the atmosphere is really good and the hosts are really friendly and will happily answer any questions that you might have. If you stay there, you get one free beer a night. Word of warning, the stairs to reach your room are quite narrow and steep so if you have heavy luggage it's going to be a bit of a pain.
Great bar and Great hostel ever Very clean and everything is organized A few years ago, there’re so many ppl from other country like me. It was great as well. but lately most customer is Japanese. If you like to have a conversation or spend time with them, it’s great time to visit. Grab a beer and have a nice chat with Japanese makes me feel great and good on my Japanese skill. The friendly and helpful staff. The free real coffee in the mornings. The jams etc put out for breakfast - I prefer to source my own bread. The kitchen, small though it is
Cleanest, most organized hostel I've ever been to.
It's a wonderful not so big and more private and familiar hostel. The staff is really nice and helpful (when you arrive, one of them welcomes you personally, takes you to a table and takes time to explain everything to you). It's really very clean. The rooms are not that big and there is only a small locker (about 30/30/30cm), but hey, we all know about the space issues in Tokyo! ;)
The hostel is amazing everyone is friendly and can speak English, it's close to a 711 and right next to the Oedo line and a 15 min walk to asakusa station .
Currently staying. Staff is fantastic. Prices are low. You meet new people every day from all over the world. It's close to the stations which is a huge plus.
Not a bad place, but it is a little noisy at night. The crowd tends to be younger. The location is good though with easy access to the oedo and asakusa subway lines. Also short walk to sensoji.
