The location is super convenient; as soon as you step out of the hotel, you're surrounded by all sorts of restaurants and convenience stores. As a frequent traveler to Japan, I'm quite familiar with Japanese hotels. The room was perfect for a solo traveler, equipped with a fridge, microwave, air conditioning, and 24-hour hot water. It even had a small bathtub. No complimentary bottled water, but there was an electric kettle. As always, it's a code-based check-in, which is great because you don't have to worry about losing a room card.

There's a supermarket and convenience store near the station that are open late, which was perfect for us busy workers. It's located away from the bustling downtown area so it's quiet, but you can get to Tokyo Station in just three stops. Highly recommended for those on a budget.

An absolutely terrible experience. Ctrip stated there would be two beds plus two tatami mats. Upon arrival, I found out the two tatami mats weren't standard; you had to lay them out yourself, separated by just two sheets. It's unbelievable that Ctrip advertised two tatami mats.

We fell in love with the Edoya hotel! We stayed in a traditional room with tatami and had a big space with a chair and a table to have tea and a toilet separated from the shower. Overall, it was okay. The only issues were that the doorway was quite low, so I kept hitting my head, and the duvet was too short for me, being over 1.8 meters tall, it didn't cover me completely.
