Reviews
Thank you to all the staff.
We flew on the 21st september so we had an expectation that not alot of places would be open like they would be in "peak season" however we wasnt to concerned as we thought the hotel would be decent to stay around, i.e pool etc..
We was delayed so we arrived at the hotel at 2am roughly, we was greeted and checked in without any issues - as we havent eaten for a while and considering we were all inclusive, we would of thought the hotel would of provided some food i.e a sandwich or something but nothing, no drinks, nothing in the room so this was disappointing.
As we got into the lift there was food on the floor, was regretting my decisions at this point.
Got to the room and even though it was small it was fine, no obvious concerns, upon inspection, under the beds where filthy, there was some form of crusty snot on the toilet wall and the shower soaks the bathroom floor so we was mopping that up at 3am..
The food hall was overcrowded, cant take food to your room so if you havent got a table then your knackered, eat standing up im afraid.. the staff in the restaurant where lovely though!
If you want peace and quiet of an evening and early hours of the morning this hotel isnt for you, we was woken up every morning early hours to drunk people screaming down the staircase and across the corridors, 0 consideration for other guests.
3 power cuts
Pool overcrowded, and 80% is in the shade.
Some not all bar staff rude
The woman on reception (didnt catch her name) but what an attitude, i needed some toilet roll in the room as we didnt want the cleaning staff going in the room from previous reviews and I got a glare from her followed by "what do you want" i mean round of applause for the vile performance.
The town and location itself was excellent i cant fault that.
But the hotel isnt 4 star, its 3 at a push.
The good reviews are FAKE!
I am claiming a full refund from the travel company that sold this absolute nightmare hotel to me and my family.
4 star??? Zero star and I'm being generous at that.
Food is disgusting. Always cold and will leave you sick for days.
Pool is too small, overcrowded, freezing and never gets any sun. Its got more chlorine in it than water. The smell of chlorine is too much to deal with and if you have a child with allergies be prepared with antihistamines because their skin will rash bright red from the excess amounts of chlorine used.
Bathroom was disgusting. Black hairs all over the floor and yellow piss stains underneath the toilet seat. Towels were replaced daily but came with hairs from other guests attached. Delightful!
Beds were riddled with bed bugs that ate the life out of all of us each night. The hotels solution to this problem was for us to visit a pharmacy and get some cream for the bites!!!! I kid you not.
Sheets never changed throughout our stay.
Suitcase contents moved around after everytime a cleaner (if you could call them that) was in the room. Clearly looking for valuables.
Lady on reception has to be the most obnoxious rude individual I've ever come across working in a hotel. Couldn't care less about any concern and made us feel like we were just a problem to her.
Truth be told, if you're not Spanish, expect to be treated like dirt.
Town is a disaster. 1 square and 1 street with shops. Bars and restaurants closed all round and I've never seen so many homeless and drunks in a holiday resort in my life.
The place is a nightmare. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I know these reviews are here to warn you of the terrors and the horrible time others had but our stay was great.
It was my other half, 3 kids, myself and we had a great time. Look let's just cut to the chase ok. If your looking for a 4/5 star hotel with tranquil settings and elegant meal times with ultra top notch fodder then I'd say dig deeper in your bank because this ain't the place for you.
In my eyes this is a hotel for those busy family's that just need a cheapish getaway. Our package cost us 3129 flights included with transfers for all inclusive 2 adults and 3 kids. Meal times are set so 8am to 10am is breakfast 1pm to 3pm is lunch and 7pm to 9pm is dinner but in-between there's a bar that serves snacks like burgers, chips and hotdogs. Great selection of drinks too. I won't lie ok, listen meal times are like a feral chaotic madness so get there bang on time to make sure your seated and eating haha. But come on let's be honest your not looking at this hotel because you want a 5 star experience. Your here because you want a cheap easy holiday that the young kids will love. And trust me if your like me, an easy going brit then the food here is great. You'd have to be super picky to not find a decent meal here.
There are 3 pools to choose from:- a kiddie pool with a pirate theme that the younger ones up to about 7ish will love. A larger pool that caters more towards teens and adults and a topside pool for just about anyone bit we usually had seen kids from about 7 to 10ish in here. The pools were cleaned regularly. And they do this in the early morning while everyone is having breakfast. They clean the poolside everyday which is great cause overtime it can build up a nasty slippery surface.
The hotel rooms are hmmm a little small but for us that's fine because we literally used them for sleeping and showering. We had a family room so it was 2 doubles pushed together to make a big bed for 2 adults and the youngest then a second room with 2 singles for the teens, not the most comfortable I've slept on but it's manageable. Yes the rooms are slightly dated and could do with a revamp and a bit of detailed maintenance but it's not so bad. The cleaners will come everyday if you put the green card on the door while your out.
The beach near our hotel was great! Very hot and the sea was so clear. Being a brit and seeing almost all the beaches we have nothing compares to how clear the water is. You can see the fish swimming between your feet! The water was a nice temperature too especially about 3pm to 5pm.
The staff are perfect, everyone was friendly and couldn't wait to assist with anything you needed. Always someone around weather its a bar tender, entertainment crew, reception, cleaners anyone really. And hats off to the canteen staff. You lot need a pay rise because the way you all get that eating hall back to normal after the feral horde of kids is amazing. The lady greeting everyone into the canteen is just so pleasant and a fantastic team member!
Entertainment wise it's a bit dull. There's a kids disco at night which was great to see the little ones having a good time. Then there's some type of show like dancers, magic or karaoke type of thing this isn't too bad but after this it's kinda boring. There needs to be speakers in the bar room with a local radio playing music just to break the silence.
The package price of our stay was 7 nights all inclusive 2 adults 2 teens and a 7 year old. I paid 3129 for the lot. With the service we got and what I paid I am happy but I definitely would not pay anymore than this for the same experience.
So to the nitty gritty. Would I come back to Oasis Park Splash? Well.. absolutely 100% I would return if I was looking for a cheaper holiday, I can't really fault this place.
Service was okay, apart from service at the dinner hall, they were very unorganised and the utensils, such as cups were not thouroughly cleaned. But I did like how quick the service was, you could even come at the last minute and get a full meal.
I realy liked the location as their is an amazing view of the ocean and you could see pods of dolphins following boats in the water.
There are not enough attractions for children - the children's pool is in the shade most of the day.
This is not a hotel I would happily return to
Staff on reception unhelpful we arrived at 9pm food had finished they just said go look somewhere around the hotel great when you've got hungry kids after a 2 hour transfer.
