Good hotel for spending a few days with friends

The only thing I didn't like was the bed. Very, very hard, and you can feel the springs. A very old mattress.

Good 4 star hotel more suitable for business.. location is just a couple of minutes away from Valencia expo center.. room are ok spacious.. not so many shops and restaurants in the area. Recommend is you have work in the expo center .. the sound insulation needs some improvement you can hear people in the hotel hallways

While the room was impressively clean and featured a lovely balcony view, the sleeping arrangements were a major letdown. The "double bed" was actually two singles pushed together with 2 separate mattresses, and because they were on wheels, they constantly moved apart during the night!

Good place, actually only thing that brings the score down is the lack of isolation in the rooms. Especially the showers/toilets. If i lay in bed and have the shower door open it's like u have ur neighbour's inside ur room... And the breakfast is very basic but still OK.

Centrally located, just about 7-8 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel was clean, the lobby is nicely decorated. I had a nice weekend stay at the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised how quick the check-in was. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Nice basic hotel. Great location. Staff have access to free parking on site and guests have to find limited street parking. Reception shouted at us for parking in large staff parking next to entrance and told us to drive out in the street and park 200m away.

Food was plentiful with a good variety but not hot enough. No facility for re-warming if allowed. I've been staying at this hotel for twenty years or so and have never been disappointed. The staff are helpful, everywhere is spotlessly clean and the food is excellent. It's a SPANISH HOTEL so if you want chicken and chips every day then you'll be disappointed. On the other hand if you want real Spanish food with a huge choice for lunch and dinner then this is the place for you.

Recently refurbished and very clean. Nice pool area and dining room set out well for buffet style service. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was reasonably priced and good selection but a little cold. The hotel facilities are quite good, but the breakfast is the same every day, which is a bit disappointing. Everything else is OK.

I can only share my experiences of the restaurant, which was absolutely phenomenal. Excellent food and the service was brilliant, with reasonably priced meals in a pristine and relaxed environment. The waitress Brook was very friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well catered for. Thank you very much 👍🏻 I highly recommend!

The hotel is very comfortably furnished and located right in the center of Alicante. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was stylish. The staff was really attentive. The first day the shower faucet broke, but they fixed it quickly. The breakfast was good and varied enough. Of course we would have liked a little less fat yogurt and the coffee could have been better.

Hotel lovely but very disappointed. I am staying here presently and went up to bar yesterday and they could only offer me a high bar stool at bar even though there were a lot of empty seats. I am 67 years old and waiting on a hip replacement. Told them l couldn't get on a high bar stool but the gentleman l spoke to was not helpful at all. Not great service or inclusive at all

Had a 3 night stay at this hotel. The location is really great and central to everything. The superior room was spacious and had a separate lounge area but could do with renovating. We settled on Alicante and looked around hotels in the area that were in a good location for the marina, restaurants, beach and travel links and decided the Gran Sol by Melia fit the criteria. Rude staff The staff needs to be sent on service minded training. Grumpier staff I haven’t seen in a long time. Further, they will not open a bottle for you and tell you it’s not allowed in a very bad way. They will not lend you glasses and again they will tell you that in a very rude way. Overall, it's a very pleasant hotel in the city center. However, our room wasn't very nice, with a tiny window that let in almost no light. The bathroom needs renovation—dust billows out of the ventilation, the shower leaks, the walls are moldy from the humidity, and the toilet leaks.

We loved the hotel, the rooms were beautiful, the piano bar is amazing, and the breakfast was spectacular. When I return to Valencia, I will definitely stay here again.

It's located right on the seafront. The air conditioning works very well. The hotel staff is excellent. The pool with jacuzzi is comfortable and charming. Highly recommended! We spent three nights over New Year's Eve at the hotel. Excellent location, right next to Plaza de Ayuntamiento, but at the same time very quiet as the hotel is in a side street and the windows are very well soundproof. Friendly and efficient staff. It's an older hotel, with great photos. Rooms are old fashioned and our faced a blank wall courtyard with noisy exhaust. There's better options for the price. Don't understand all the great reviews.

Amazing location, walkable to main sites around ciutat vella. The staff is accommodating, and the rooms are okay. Nice spacious bathrooms, comfy bed. Just some rooms have a very ugly view on the back of the hotel with some beat up houses giving a favela vibe, hence the 4 stars.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Our room was large and roomy. It was right in the middle of everything - restaurants, bars, grocery store, bus stop, parking lot and attractions. A little longer (about 10 mins) walk to the laundromat. The staff was awesome! They were all very friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast was nice with a large variety. Its been a wonderful experience in Daniya Alicante. The staff are very pleasant and ready to help at all times. Valentina was really helpful, she was all over the place ensuring our comfort at dinner times. The hotel is very tidy and in a good location.

Good priced , clean place , nicely located. Very accommodating. Only issue we encountered is the canteen staff did not speak English and with our full board chosen as an extra it was buffet at times and ordering from the menu and times, so with the language barrier it just made things abit difficult.
