This was one of my several stays at Hotel Sonne. The hotel is at a great & quiet location, but super convenient to the town center. Service, hotel rooms & restaurant is excellent. Very fair price for what you get

This was our first time staying at the Hotel Sonne. The staff is incredibly friendly. My wife and I really enjoyed the pool area, and the outdoor hot tub is wonderful

The included daily breakfast was hearty, varied and of high quality, Our only suggestion is to open the spectacular outdoor hot tub earlier than 4PM so as to allow guests to soak immediately after the slopes instead of having a long wait

Hotel Sonne is spotlessly clean (very important to me), welcoming, with plenty of individual space, a lovely spa area, a great masseuse but the food is its usp - breakfasts to suit the fussiest family and the Tapas Restaurant is amazing

The outdoor tub is nestled in among a waterfall and a cliff. The restaurant is outstanding. We especially loved the Tapas menu. The breakfast buffet is extensive. They have a breakfast rice dish, that was superior

Hygiene: There is room for improvement Environment: Very good Service: Nothing to say! All service staff are fully supportive! It's a pity that the room is full the next day and I can't extend my stay

amazing experience, we were unable to see matterhorn clearly on the mountains due to the weather, but luckily were able to catch a full clear view in our hotel rooms right before leaving in the last day! Def recommended to book the rooms with a mountain view if you want a sure chance of seeing matterhorn!

The hotel is conveniently located near the station, only an 8-minute walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; they promptly assisted us with everything we needed, including power adapters and a kettle

However, the hotel is showing its age. Some of the power outlets were a bit deformed, making it difficult to plug things in. Also, the Wi-Fi was very slow and disconnected frequently

Aside from these technical issues, everything else was excellent

We booked it last min and we were so luckily as it was the last room of that day due to peak season. The hotel itself is average and definitely suit for anyone who have low budget yet want to explore Zermatt

One of the ladies helped us with our late check-in, and overall our interaction with them was great! The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is close to the shuttle station from Tasch, as well as close to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola

Good service and breakfast; good value for Zermatt and not too far from the station. A bit far from the lifts, but you get what you pay for.

Comfortable room and great breakfast! By far the most value for money place I've slept in at Switzerland, and Zermatt is supposed to be more expensive than all other places

The hotel is really close to the train station, and the Gornergrat train station (for the Matterhorn) is right across from it. It's pretty easy to find – just take the small path opposite the Patek Philippe store

The room and staff were first class. Baggage storage, completed check in so we could easily get keys when we returned from day out. Wished we could of enjoyed the place longer than the 1 night

Hotel is approximately 10mins walk from Zermatt train station. There is a bus stop to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car station about 4mins away from the hotel, very convenient

Lovely hotel just off the center (5min walk). It has a great spa with a large pool, two saunas, two steam rooms and jacuzzi. Breakfast was delicious and every morning there were alternative options of the hot food

Very quiet with no noise from above rooms (although I could hear the neighbors TV through the wall sometimes). Central location close to shops and restaurants and a few steps to busses to the ski areas

The chalet was beautifully furnished and very confortable and the pool and spa were a true confort. And if this was not enough the crew was so much fun, professional, considered it made our stay even more special

The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type

Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice

All good. The hotel upgraded our room. Service very nice. Breakfast very nice. The only minor negative point is the fact that the hotel didn't provide toothbrush. Except this everything was perfect

The staff are friendly and the drinks in the mini bars are free..... They are generous with the food, they even have bread, nuts and fruits all day next to the check-in desk.

You can also go to the bar and order a cappuccino. In short, you can eat very satisfying! The best thing is that this hotel also has a pick-up service

We stayed here for four days and it was awesome. The service was very friendly. The indoor pool and spa area were great after a full day of skiing. The jacuzzi in the back had a gorgeous view of the Matterhorn

It is next to the Klein Matterhorn gondola. The rooms are spacious, very well appointed, comfortable. The pool, hot tub and showers are wonderful. And the hosts Moni and Permin Zurbriggen are welcoming and gracious hosts

Breakfast in the room was so perfect. We enjoyed an evening with fondue in the room and I had the most amazing massage by Anya. The outdoor hot pool with the views was so relaxing

We visited Suitenhotel Zurbriggen for the 4th time to celebrate our wedding anniversary and do some hiking. Such an incredibly special place. It is located such that it has totally unobstructed views of the Matterhorn

We are currently on the train leaving zermatt and I felt the need to immediately write a review. Our stay was absolutely exceptional!!! The atmosphere of this hotel felt like home. Our room and views were stunning

On the last night we are exhausted after a long day of skiing, and the room service arranged meals room Madre Nostra and Bazaar to satisfy everyone's tastes and brought it to our suite so we could have a lovely cozy dinner in our room

Our suite was gorgeous with it's own living room, dining room, kitchenette, and spacious bedroom. I adored waking up every morning to the perfect view of the Matterhorn

My only point of improvement would be that the suite could use some more closet/shelves for all our things. Thank you Cervo for the beautiful stay! We'll certainly be back!

You have access to the versatile and in a positive sense unique spa area and the breakfast is absolutely amazing - without any annoying plastic packaging! I am happy when I can go there again

We had a really wonderful stay at Cervo! The location was so easy to ski in and out of. The restaurants were fabulous for dinner and for breakfast

The fire was so cozy after a long chilly day! All of the staff there were great and very helpful with anything we needed, from pickup/drop off from the train station, to any questions about recommendations! The only thing that came to mind that we felt awkward about was when we checked in we only had 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth in our room and when we had asked for one more of each, they made a comment...

Clean room and very pretty, even though it was mid-October it still got hot in the room and there was no fan so we just kept the sliding door open a little bit throughout the night and that worked! We had a balcony and just barely a view of the Matterhorn which was awesome

But we were never told how we go about doing so when we did not see a phone in the room anywhere. Not really a big deal, just felt like a bit of an inconvenience. Other than that our stay was wonderful!

Great hotel - close to the main street and all the relevant lifts but in a quieter area of town. The breakfast was great and the staff were so always accomodating - assisting with plans and transport.

The lady that worked the desk in the evening was great-she was the fire master, bartender, and helped guests at the desk, always making sure we were doing ok

We stayed in the family room, which can accommodate up to four people, although there were only three of us. The room was clean with a modern interior, making it very comfortable for our stay

The hotel has an excellent location, just a few minutes' walk from the train station and situated in a pretty lively area. The older lady at the front desk was very welcoming. The breakfast, however, was quite basic.

The necessities are provided like soap, towels, hair dryer, tissue! Just note that there is no fridge in the room if that was your concern. Other than that, perfect stay!

Location was right in the middle of the city, super convenient! Nearby the Zermatt main station, as well as Gornergrat station! Supermarkets were walking distance away, and even food options were many like macdonalds, western food, etc

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Alpenroyal. The highlight was definitely waking up to an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn from our balcony, truly postcard-perfect

Enjoy a retro log cabin experience. The hotel offers a free shuttle service. The only downsides are that there's construction going on nearby, a large scaffolding obstructs the view, and there's no elevator

While the hotel sits on a hill, don’t let that scare you; they provide a key card for a private elevator/tunnel system that drops you right into the heart of Zermatt in about 3 minutes

Housekeeping was top notched. Housekeeping staff were ready to answer to any requests. We were there to sight-see, so we did not use the hotel facilities for ski equipment. But I am sure they are on top of things

u can see matterhorn clearly but unfortunately there is a big construction crane block some view. On the way to hotel from zermatt station if you follow the google map, it gonna lead u to hard way, very high upslope hill

Zermatt is a car-free town, so we parked our car in Täsch and took the train to the hotel. The town isn't very big, and it's about a fifteen-minute walk from the train station to the hotel

We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Capricorn. Rooms and entire hotel was clean and had an excellent ambiance. Breakfast was excellent every morning and was included. The spa was spacious and had good hours

There was coffee available downstairs. Breakfast had plenty of choices. The Staff were friendly and welcoming. Just a really clean, well run establishment. I could not think of anything they could do to improve

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Hotel Capricorn. We chose a Matterhorn view room which was cabin style with a balcony - the room is on the small side but there is a little cupboard and luggage rack to keep things tidy

It's a bit of a walk on the way back. It's more convenient to call a car. If the weather is cold, I recommend calling a car to go in. The bed is small and nice.

10 minutes away from the train station, there is a short uphill road, the room terrace can see the Matterhorn, clean and tidy, breakfast is normal, the staff is kind, but it's a pity that the hotel does not provide microwave ovens and water kettles, there is hot water, but it is not available until you go to the basement

There is a bar with a good an sunny terrace where it was nice to share a drink with the group after the days hikes The hotel is small, feels like a warm home and the owners and staff are really nice and helpful

View is nice however depending on your luck. No lift, beware of heavy luggage’s and no one will help you. Amenities only towel and 3 in 1 shampoo. Location was ok. Breakfast was basic.

however there is no elevator at this hotel, so it would be not that convenient for people with huge and heavy suitcase. I still think it is worth it as I could see Matterhorn when I wake up every morning during my stay

The price for this three star hotel is good value for money, in expensive Zermatt!!! For us Brits that's important right now. Breakfast was basic but perfectly ok. An addition of eggs would be good

The hotel is clean and tidy, the restaurant is rustic and cosy and the rooms warm and charming. Yes it could be upgraded a bit but why do it when it is perfectly serviceable

I would like to see a bit more variety on healthy options like freshly cut fruits, more healthy bread options and generally more vegetarian / vegan options. not everybody eats cold deli meat

For all of you who have criticised this hotel, I need to put the record straight. I stayed for 7 nights over Christmas

It's not a 4 or a 5 * Hotel - but you know that when you book. My room was more than enough - I spent the days in the mountains - not in the my hotel room. I even had dinner there, which was nice too

This hotel has a fantastic location across the road from the main station and right beside the Gornergrat railway and buses. It is an ancient Swiss Chalet Hotel with the characteristics of said era
