Asian Secret Resort in Lamai Beach

Booked 7 nights LEFT after 4...

I never write reviews but I felt the need to this time.

Only stay here if you don't mind sleeping with whatever bugs and mosquitos crawl up into your bed and under your pillow.

Day of arrival nobody at the desk or anywhere to be seen. Walked through the resort to try find someone. Ended up walking out the back to a hut where I believe the owner/manager stays and found someone there.

Friendly like most thai people but no interest in whether you are in need of anything after you pay.

In the 4 nights I stayed:
Nobody cleaned the room once even after I put out the sign for room to be cleaned.
No fresh towels (towels smelt funny after one use)
No water replenished
Sheets had blood stains on them
Room was fairly small definitely not 20sqm

The room on its own was ok but it's almost like you're a lodger in hut rather than any hotel/resort.

No staff present morning noon or night.

After my 4th night (roughly 2hrs sleep) I decided I couldn't stay in this place any longer and had to book another stay for the rest of my time in koh samui.

Went to raise this with the manager who of course was not present so I just left the key in the door and walked out never to return.

Messaged them to let them know of the situation and that i decided to leave due to the low standards of cleanliness and total absence of any management, cleaners, or fresh materials like a towel.

Asked for a refund for the remaining 3 nights that I wouldn't be staying but got no response. Messaged on both booking.com and on whatsapp. Assuming they want to try hang onto my money as I paid in full when I arrived for 7 nights.

Not to mention totally overpriced for what you're getting.
I rebooked to stay in the Beach Resort Hotel 5 minutes away also a 4 star hotel that i am in right now and the difference is outstanding.

I wish I had come here the first time round.
Wonder if I'll ever see any of my money for the remaining 3 nights. Not keeping my hopes up.

I'd avoid this place

Cobwebs and ALOT of insects.

We stayed here after reading the positive reviews regarding the owners and how much they helped you. We’ll, let me tell you they left the hotel SIX MONTHS ago. Now, there’s never no one at the lobby, there is no orientation and there is not even breakfast. We had a tour at 8 am and had to leave empty stomach because no one showed up. Communication is very hard because there’s only one girl (a few times) at the lobby but her English is very basic, she also cleans the rooms. On top of that, they don’t leave a phone number or any type of contact, so if you have a problem, you are on your own. DONT STAY HERE, things have definitely changed; such a shame because it seem like they had a great service before.

I chose this hotel because of the reviews. The only real things are the photos.

It is a not at all the heaven you think you will find here. Run away...

Environment nearby the hotel is bad in all the ways : dogs, motor bicycles, main road too close, mosquitos, ...

It is a place run by people who want to make easy money.
