Decent stay with some drawbacks

Le Maroc Hotel Patong is located very centrally, which is convenient for getting around, but it also makes the area quite loud, especially at night. The room was small but sufficient for a short stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, which I truly appreciated. There is an air conditioner, but if you turn it off during the night, the room heats up very quickly. A few spots weren’t completely clean, such as the air conditioning unit and some corners of the room.

Another thing to note is that the hotel entrance is located in the outdoor area of a restaurant, which can feel a bit unusual.

Overall, an okay stay with some pros and cons.

Great little hotel, lovely staff and owners, so helpful. Very near Bangla Road and Patong Beach.
Don't miss the view from the roof, especially at sunset, take some beers. A little noisy at night so take earplugs.
I would recommend this hotel if you want to be close to the action.

We had a great time staying at the hotel, Mr Milad was absolutely welcoming and nice, he made sure we are always okay. He helped us planing our trip, getting cheap tours and recommended on stuff we needed. Also the location is the best you can get, close to the main street. I would definitely come back

Great place to stay when you know the atmosphere of the area. Absolutely, great location to restaurants, beach, shopping, and the famous Patong nightlife. Staff was great as well and the rooms were cleaned well every day.

This is my 4th time staying in Le Maroc. On my recent stay, I was told there has been a change of management. I need to say, their warm hospitality and services have been excellent. Rooms are very clean which credit goes to the housekeeping team and very helpful night reception staff.. I need to call out MR Milad the Hotel manager for his exceptional customer care and hospitality. Keep up the good work team. I am looking forward for my next stay to Le Maroc.

I wish I could leave less than one star.

Firstly the room is terrible. The aircon barely works and there is no facilities to get ready in. The only mirror is in the dinghy bathroom and dark and no plug sockets near so makes getting ready impossible

The hotel is located above a restaurant so the strong smell of curries lingers in your room

But the worst is the staff. I have never been so disgusted or offended so badly in my life by a hotel. I had make up transfer onto the bedding and on check out the reception would not let us leave until the room had been checked. Next thing we had the housekeeper shouting in Thai holding my bedsheets up in the middle of the reception saying I’d damaged them and must pay a soiling charge?!? after getting over the initial embarrassment of this I explained it is simply make up which washes out and was eventually given my security deposit back.

Never in my life have I experienced such appalling service from a hotel and certainly do not recommend!
