Excellent hotel. Reception team are very good, helpful and knowledgeable the city. The room is lovely. One of the best hotels I have stayed in in Cologne. Clean, warm, a good bed and very clean room and bathroom.

Clean room, close to city center

It's just ok. Rooms felt tired with minimal amenities, same with the rest of the hotel. Service was ok and receptionist was polite but didn't feel friendly. WiFi situation not good either.

Absolutely faultless, good location, lovely breakfast. I liked the fact that there was someone in attendance in the early hours only too happy to pour you a beer from the bar or make a coffee. Great hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Both parking garages are conveniently located near the hotel. The breakfast is excellent with a generous selection. Overall, I would say this is one of the best hotels in Köln.

Nice hotel. Our room had a,few issue's like tap on bathroom sprayed mirror and shower wasn't enthusiastic in its power but we only used as a base. Good point is its near the train station which takes 10 minutes and cathedral. Breakfast was really nice. Room could have been cooler and was controlled by reception and had to leave window open so was noisy in a morning.

First, I used the GPS to find the location, so it was okay. Parking was in the basement next to the hotel, but the entrance was surprisingly narrow. The room is the size of a normal budget hotel, with sufficient heating and windows that cannot be opened. Disposable toothbrushes and slippers are not provided as is common in Europe, so you need to bring your own. My husband and I stayed for one night to watch the Germany vs. Northern Ireland match in the World Cup qualification. Overall, the experience was good, except for the cleaning staff who entered our room twice before we checked out.

Because we were traveling by car, we booked this hotel for the convenience of parking. The location is a bit remote. We took a taxi to the city center. We needed to fill out a form manually to check in, which was a bit slow. There was no elevator in the room.

First of all the room was clean and big. And the beds were comfortable. Unfortunately, as stated multiple times in other reviews, there is a wedding/party venue right next door with a lot of people and loud noise. Stayed in Cologne 6.2.25. Got the 4-bed family room. Plenty of space for us all. Very roomy, clean and comfortable. The lift is small and stairs are steep, no big deal. Dinner recommendation was on point! Only down side is trying to find parking to check in. The parking garage is half a block away and once accessed super easy. Totally recommend staying here!

Great location. Everything is within easy reach and it's quiet. They have a handheld hairdryer and disposable slippers. The bed is huge and comfortable.

It's close to Cologne Cathedral, and you could even see a little bit of the top of the cathedral from the balcony! Because the room was spacious, the heating wasn't very effective. Also, the entrance to the hotel was a little hard to find. There was a supermarket called REWE downstairs. I was able to use hot water from the kettle in what seemed to be the breakfast area in front of the front desk.

The location is convenient and the room is clean and quiet. The space is great too. It is also very convenient to walk to the exhibition venue.

It is very close to the city center and can be reached on foot. Check in at 3 pm. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage for free. The service staff is very enthusiastic. I will choose this hotel next time.

The hotel provides only basic amenities, and is located on the top level of a parking garage which i found a bit inconvenient. Also the fact that we needed to wait for half an hour for check in because reception was empty didn't make it better. The location is in the very center of the city though.

Lovely, quiet location right by the river. Local shops are a 5 mins walk away. Nice breakfast set-up where you can sit inside, or outside on a lovely balcony with a few tables.

The lady at reception was very nice; she prepared the room beautifully. I had asked her to do this because my husband's birthday was the next day. She prepared everything with such care and attention, and then explained everything to us. That's what I call service. The room is lovely, and the bed is comfortable.

I stayed here whilst touring Cologne. It was a good stay. The hotel is located on the ring and is some 20 minutes walk to the cathedral/station/centre. I had a comfortable and good sized room. No air conditioning. Normally not an issue but the temperatures were up to 36 during my stay. Otherwise quiet and comfortable. Real hangers. A bath. A safe. No kettle. No fridge. Not enough sockets. The hotel is in a residential neighborhhod, with pleasant cafes and shops. It is clean, and nicely furnished, with friendly staff, and a good breakfast. The breakfast also offers a good selection of tea, including black teas, as well as coffee. Also, some rooms offer smoking. It is near the U bahn, too. My only caveats are that the bathroom is quite small, with a tub that is high to step into...

Very nice place to stay. I would give it five stars, but the "small" TV only had a few channels, the breakfast (although good for a continental) was limited, and the language barrier was a small challenge. The most recommended thing is the location! It is only a few hundred meters away from Cologne Train Station and Cologne Cathedral, and it is quiet in the bustle. Hotel close to everything in old town Cologne.

The location could not be beat! On the river, a few blocks from the Dom and train station. Right in the middle of the Christmas Markets if you are traveling during that time. Room was older and smaller but definitely clean with a good restaurant below that we ate at a couple of times.

Our family of four were very happy with our two night stay here whilst in Cologne. The hotel is in a great location and in walking distance to all the citys attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful also. It is a very old hotel but we were comfortable and all slept well. A kettle with coffee making facilities in the room would have been a great addition.

Kind staff allowed me to rehearse (singing with guitar) in a quiet isolated room, like a fitness center for musicians! Expansive lobby area. Nice breakfast. Older building (no AC in room but big window that opened wide for breeze), but bathrooms/beds/desk etc modern. I had 2 rooms x 2 days and appreciated the rest and warm atmosphere.

It was okay for sleeping. However, the breakfast selection was rather mediocre. Bus connections to Cologne city are regular and easy to reach by bus directly from the hotel.

There are so many public areas in the hotel, it's nice to sit and have a beer. Note that the rooms do not have air conditioning. During the stay just in time for the exhibition, the house price is slightly expensive.

Nice and small hotel very friendly team

The room was unclean, infested with bedbugs, and I was bitten. The bites haven't healed in a week and are very serious. There was no individual notification, no one cleaned the room, there was no refrigerator, and only one bottle of water on the first day. The room was cleaned, but the water wasn't changed.

The hotel itself is new and nice. However, i didn't like 4 things: - the location is far away from the city centre. - the parking is very expensive! - the pillows were too high and uncomfortable for me. - no fridge in the room.

This was our first time at the Moxy and we were absolutely thrilled. The decor is fantastic, with great rooms, a lovely bar, and very friendly staff.

There is no problem with German hotels, they are basically very good
