Very nice hotel. The rooms are quiet and nicely decorated in an original way. Access to the sauna is included in the price so one can relax in the evening. The restaurant on 8th floor provides tasty and original food and features a decent wine list. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.

It's too hip for me personally. Lots of cool features, but a few basics are missing, like a suitcase rack, an enclosed shower area, and better lighting for the mirror on the sink.

Perfect location for a trip to Cologne. The hotel has everything you need, nice comfy rooms, a small fitness room if you want to use it. Breakfast is good and plenty of choice. The train station is directly across from the hotel also.

They should change all their bed mattresses as they are old and cause very bad back pain. We told them about this issue, but they did nothing to solve it.

Absolutely faultless, good location, lovely breakfast. I liked the fact that there was someone in attendance in the early hours only too happy to pour you a beer from the bar or make a coffee. Great hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Both parking garages are conveniently located near the hotel. The breakfast is excellent with a generous selection. Overall, I would say this is one of the best hotels in Köln.

Nice hotel. Our room had a,few issue's like tap on bathroom sprayed mirror and shower wasn't enthusiastic in its power but we only used as a base. Good point is its near the train station which takes 10 minutes and cathedral. Breakfast was really nice. Room could have been cooler and was controlled by reception and had to leave window open so was noisy in a morning.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Hotel Santo for 1 night, and it was a great experience. The quality of service and the rooms are extraordinary considering the price, the staff were all super friendly, always greeting you with a smile. We stayed here for 5 days and our stay was wonderful. Location: next to hansaring train station, which is 1 stop from cathedral or main station. You can even walk to cathedral from here. Nice hotel, situated at 15 minutes walking from Koln Cathedral. We received a free upgrade of the rooms. The rooms received were very big and comfortable. The staff was very nice and friendly. Totally recommend for a stay in Köln.

The hotel was very clean. It was located right by the Rhine, which made for lovely walks. The reception staff were friendly and solution-oriented. It was also a nice bonus that they spoke Turkish. Thanks for everything!

The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and tidy. The only downside was that it was about a 10-minute walk from the tram stop. Otherwise, I was satisfied and would definitely stay there again.

The hotel also comes with a bathtub, a refrigerator, and a bottle of water. There's a delicious German pub downstairs. However, the hotel's location isn't very convenient; the nearest subway station is about a 10-minute walk, and the cobblestone streets make it difficult to lug a suitcase. Overall, however, it's a good stay.

Basically everything is DIY but for this fees I would say rather fair. I believe I will choose this hotel again next time. So far so good

It was a great Hotel and so clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a little bit far away from city centre but you can go there in 15 minutes with Road Rail.

Probably because it was messe time, it was quite expensive but even though cheapest of others around. Rooms were good but it would be better to have some tea or coffee in the rooms (or at least it should be free at reception?). Hot water was free (luckily I had some tea with me) but receptionist guy asked 2-3 times if it is coffee or hot water as if I was cheating him (I felt like a thief😔) Location...

Nice room small but comfortable. No TV service and bathroom was spacious but just a tub (large) and a shower wand but not a shower. Don’t forget your adapters for charging or USA plugs.

Nice hotel. Booked during a stopover for a short overnight stay. Olga, the receptionist, was very friendly and helpful. One point of attention: the shower areas could be improved. The use of a shower curtain feels outdated.

Modern, in excellent location. Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Parking is a challenge . I recommend you take one of their parking spaces in their garage. Its tricky to get out however a staff member would drive the car out for you. If you enjoy a nice walk or run around the Rhine River- you are right at the banks, and you will reach a nature preserve after 20 mins jogging.

Have been staying there since 6 years now. A very quaint but nicely located hotel in Cologne. What they lack in amenities they make up in service and smiles.

An okay place I suppose it was a mistake to arrive on a Sunday night when there was no one on reception. I had had to used a push button to talk to someone and then negotiate an electronic key, trice, with suitcases. I then entered a lobby with no signs. The room was very clean, the bed was not too big, about the same size as a dormitory bed, and it was quite unexpected to have a small balcony. Not happy with catching a flight in the morning, when checking out the front desk said we had a room that was not paid for, and the communication took a long time. We used this hotel now for 4 years each time we are going on holiday. The location is very handy. There is no need to go far away from the motorway, which is close by from exit on both ways. The hotel is always clean, and the service is good. Part of the hotel is a secure car park.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Allegro. The staff is truly lovely, welcoming, attentive, and always happy to help. The hotel is very clean and has a cozy, almost old-world charm that makes it feel much more personal than a big, standard hotel chain. We also really enjoyed the new bar. We had cocktails there, and they were great; a very nice addition and a perfect way to end the day....

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit the Christmas markets, the location is very good. We were walking distance from the cathedral and Christmas markets. Our room had a lovely view of the river. The nearest underground station is heumarkt. Colognes main train station Köln hbf was also only a 15 min walk along the river side. Trains from here to the airport cost €3.70. All the staff we met were friendly...

I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Allegro. The warm welcome and very attentive staff made me feel just like home. The room was very comfortable with coffee machine and kettle, minibar, comfy bed and Italian shower. 2 minutes walk to station Heumarkt, made it easy to go around. (I regret that my schedule did not allow me to have breakfast).

The staff at Allegro are amazing! They were incredibly supportive and accommodating when my colleagues and I were in Cologne for business. The rooms are quiet and it’s just a short walk from Heumarkt by foot. They still use a classic metal key vs card key for hotel rooms and you need to hand the keys to reception every time you leave the hotel. I would say the vibes are like staying at your grandparents...

The room is in need of repair. A kitchen but not even a water boiler. No tea or coffee in the room. Poor value I would not recommend.

It was a bit hard to find but the rooms were clean and looked good. The staff was exceptionally friendly. At check-in they even opened the terrace just for me. Overslept my check-out by half an hour and they made no problem of it, charged me nothing extra. "You partied a bit to hard it happens, no problem" . Great people, will go there again next time.

Property situated very close to Subway. We were surprised that they have Fee $.50 for early check in. And for baggage storage $.5 as never experienced any such charges. Room sizes were very compromising two luggage bags and no space to walk. Lobby is nice as usually in same vicinity usually lobby is not that nice. Over all good experience.

This is a huge hotel in a great location, Penn Station across the street. The hotel has been remodeled but still has a lot of art deco features that appeal to travelers like myself. We had a very large room on a high floor that was very quiet and had a great view. The hotel is very busy, but hey it’s NYC. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a nice clean hotel. There was a guy on the front desk who was an absolute gem. He was funny, helpful and knowledgeable and helped us enormously - a credit to the hotel. The room we had was spacious and clean, we got 2 extra pillows as the ones supplied where very thin. On the downside the hotel is in a very scruffy, run down area. The room was nice and quiet, located in the lower-end part of the city center, conveniently located near the train station and airport, and within walking distance of Cologne Cathedral. The breakfast was very plentiful, the room was clean, and the receptionist was very welcoming.

While it's a bit of a distance from the Cologne Exhibition Center, it's conveniently located right next to the subway station, making it very accessible. The facilities are great, and the surrounding area is very pleasant!

It was good in general. But some equipment was not working in order. And as the only elevator doesn’t have the sign from the floor side, it was a bit not convenient.

Good quiet rooms, a healthy breakfast, friendly staff and nightlife just around the corner. We highly recommend the Päffgen Brewery down the road, and Scotia Whisky Store

Although a little on the pricey side, it offers clean, nicely furnished rooms and a varied breakfast buffet. The staff are competent, but lack warmth. The tram stop is just a few minutes' walk away.

If you want to arrive and check in later than 9pm, make sure to call them in advance. I did, but I didn't realize after 9pm there will also be no lifts available....so had to carry 23kgs x 2 pcs upstairs by myself... This was the only disadvantage I'd say.
