Hotels with pool on first line in Hersonissos

In general is it a 5Star hotel no question there just a sand beach would’ve been nice. But the beach that this hotel has is also unique. You can snorkel and see the underwater world like nowhere else

We returned to this lovely family hotel in May this year, we have been going there for 10 years now but we had not been able to go for more than 2 years because of the Pandemic

Such a calming beautiful place. There is such a warm family feeling to this hotel. Staff are very helpful. Food is delicious and good selection of drinks.

We were delighted to find the welcome the same as ever, the hotel as lovely as ever, with some very new changes

Bassem keeps everything really good organized and has a good overview over the whole dining room area. The Receptionist that was the most helpful was without doupt Samuel always a smile on his lips and in a good mood

He did an awesome job was always friendly and even made a nice sculpture out of towels. In the Italian Reataurant works Muhamed. He was so nice and always offered his services and never forgot us the whole week

Clearly the receptionist lied to us, which is not very nice if you ask me. Moreover, there was no shower gel in the bathroom (and from my experience, hotels usually give you little bottles of shower gel among others)

We went back to the reception and asked the receptionist (a young guy) if this is their standard triple room since we saw something else on their website

Few minutes later, we saw the room next to us because the people in it left the door open, room 2006, a triple room, and guess what? They had 3 normal beds, not a mattress like ours

After we checked in and arrived to our room, our biggest surprise was that instead of 3 beds we received 2 beds and a small mattress (see picture below)

The guy said this is their triple standard room and did nothing else about it

Me and my family bought an All inclusive package and booked a triple room

Great location with access to the beach, restaurants and shops.

No parking nearby and cars constantly driving across the pedestrian zone. Of course, there are beautiful sunsets and the popular sound of the sea

In the evenings, there are the restaurants right on the water's edge. There you can get delicious food and expensive drinks, and we were more or less politely asked to come in at almost every stall

All is good, except too noisy at night. Too many young people who love partying rather than sleeping

But those weren't enough reasons to visit this entire area again

I love ittt! it's Such a nice hotel with such a bad rating I wonder why the rating is so negative to be honest I love this hotel so much It's So pretty They have free WiFi and it's next to beach the only negative thing about this hotel is that it's next to a club which means That it's pretty noisy outside but still a great hotel^^

Entertainment - there was a very enthusiastic guy leading the entertainment both during the day and in the evening, I honestly don’t know how he kept going! Around the pool there were games daily, aqua fit and water polo

The gym was very small and no air con so advise getting there before the day gets too hot! Layout - the photos always give the impression it’s quite compact but if you aren’t near the centre then it’s a long walk up a big hill! Luckily there was a van / golf cart to help out

There were other activities too such as Pilates - possibly the best view I’ve ever had doing Pilates! There could have been a bit more for teens, and it was a shame the games room wasn’t in the centre of the hotel but a bit further out, but that was only a tiny thing

When we arrived we let them know and they showed my son all the things he could have. They were also happy to prepare gluten free bread, pizza and pasta too, and it really seemed no bother

My daughter missed out on going to the water slides as she hadn’t heard them say what was happening! Water park - fine for kids and teens enjoyed it for a little while but not thrilling

The lifeguards were excellent though, really friendly, helpful and good when my son ripped open a scab on a slide! Food - this was a big one for us

The hotel was in a beautiful, quite, full of nature place in Annisaras. When I arrived in the hotel, Eleonora -the owner of the hotel-, Yiannis -her husband- and her two daughters greeted me with a big smile

Eleonora is a fantastic hostess & always around for a chat, her family are lovely which makes this place special. Excellent breakfast with plenty of variety & good quality

10 euros and the bus is a nearly new air conditioned coach! On arrival I was met by a Greek family sitting under the varander by the pool. Father, mother and two daughters

It wasn't too crowded as well and the beach is 5m away (walking) so it was a relaxing place to stay while visiting Crete

Apartment spotless & we had a lovely sea breeze coming in through the window. Very chilled place no loud music etc

Traveling alone for the first time I was naturally a bit nervous. After leaving the airport I made my way via a taxi to hotel cost 25 euros. I found out later a bus takes me to the end of the lane for 3

Nice, cheap, little hotel, very close to the beach and all restaurants and shops. Very convenient center location but no traffic noise. There was access to some little swimming pool

The hotel was empty! What a shame, this small city hotel is run by a very helpful and kind lady, and it really deserves to be fuller. As a result, the included breakfast couldn't be served due to a lack of staff

There was lovely lady/reception or manager that made the check in very nice, let me in to the room much earlier free of charge. Would recommend but only to those who basically only need bed and shower

Instead, we got air conditioning, which wasn't originally included. It's fine for those on a budget, but you shouldn't expect too much from the bedding. It's clear the mattresses aren't new

Hotel needs a bit of investment and refurbishment or some freshen up as rooms are old but everything was in working order so could not really complain

From your room you have a stunning view of the sea

Nearby you’ll find villages like Old Chersonissos and Koutouloufari, where you can enjoy great food, drinks, and lovely little shops! Something to keep in mind is that the beautiful apartments are built on the hillside, so you do need to be able to walk stairs! We will definitely come back here 🤗🥰

The apartments themselves are modern, tastefully furnished, and very comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with the basics, which was sufficient for preparing simple meals

We spent 9 days here on holiday and we had a wonderful time. The people are very hardworking, kind, and do everything they can to make your stay as relaxing as possible

The food and drinks at the bar, especially the Passion Bay cocktail, are delicious! The swimming pool is very nice and beautiful! The sunbeds are also super comfortable 🥰 The rooms are very clean, equipped with air conditioning, and have everything you need

Very nice swimming pool! The only problem was that the transfer leave us at 2 am down the hill 500 meters up the hill carrying our luggage , when they could perfectly takes to reception!! We were so mad! Get a private transfer they will take you to reception

I stayed there with my robotics team to participate in the MRC - Global Olympiad 2024 🤖. Very friendly people working there, nice view (nature and sea on the horizon), with a pool and an outdoors jacuzzi 🌊

A very nice small hotel with a friendly atmosphere and staff, close to the beach and the markets. Good food and a very pleasant garden with a swimming pool, where the kids spent many and many hours...

Good and friendly staff, big rooms, linen is changed daily, tasty dinner with traditional Greek food, very clean pool, close to the sandy beach. We had a great time at this hotel, hope to come back next year

First time to Crete , I will be back again as the nightlife was excellent, the beach and sea were perfect and me and my friends had a great stay

Very friendly and generous staff. Cozy and clean hotel,big rooms, quiet, nice view, 10 min to the beach, 5 min to the nearest supermarket. Towels changed 3 times during our week stay. We’ll definitely go back next year!

Special shout out to the cook and the barman that were very kind and covered our every need 😀. The only drawback is that it's far from the city center of Heracleion. But if you have a car, it's fine 🚗

Beautiful apartment, very well located and very quiet, just a stone's throw from the beach. The caretaker is very kind and smiling. The pool is not new but well maintained and the water is perfect.

only stayed 1 night in room 9. would of happily stayed for 14 nights as the well equipped 2 bed duplex with 2 bathrooms is completely as described. lovely pool area ,a short flat walk to the village and beach

It is pet friendly, cute little pool, spotless apartments. Good showers with glass and not a plastic curtain. We had a great time there… and super quiet

Everything was perfect except for mosquitos everywhere all the time. I don't know how they keep getting in the room.

I'm fussy, but all they served was mainly ok,but pretty large portions. Till 11 am to 7 pm you can get your drinks from the pool bar, in the evenings from reciption until 10pm

Just returned from a 15-day holiday at Hotel Ilios Chersonissos, together with my daughter. It is not a modern hotel, but everything you need is there and it is very clean

The swimming pool is also nice, and Nancy, the barmaid by the pool, is cheerful and very helpful. All in all, this hotel is highly recommended

The reception staff, Ada and Lone, among others, are super friendly and helpful. For those who do not speak English, Lone is a godsend; she is Dutch and incredibly friendly and helpful

Nothing is too much trouble for them; they are always there for you. The restaurant staff is also extremely friendly

Pool area is lovely and clean, plenty of sun loungers for everyone. Nancy the bar lady, lovely, friendly and chatty. There are signs for a snack bar to the pool area although no snacks are available

I just stayed in Onira Suite Dreams for the past 3 nights. We had the most amazing time, the property is very modern with lots of incredible amenities. Our villa was a dream come true with the perfect size private pool

The staff were super friendly and very accommodating to all our needs. If you want to have a memorable holiday when you come to Crete I would highly recommend staying here

Our room had a great private terrace with jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The breakfast options change everyday and are made fresh, everything we tried was really good especially the zucchini pie and scrambled eggs

In the evening after a day of exploring the island the jacuzzi under the stars couldn't have had make us more happier!:) Veronique, who knows the island very well, was also super friendly and helpful, and we got many tips from her

The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The view from the hotel was great, and the location was perfect—quiet but close to everything. Highly recommend it for a great getaway!

We had very relaxing 3 days in Orina suites. We booked the Felicity suite and it was everything we wanted and very clean. The detailed interior makes you feel luxurious, but also like home

Daily cleaning, next to the busy street and all the shops you want but without the noise!! Very important, bus station 22 is next door if you don't have or don't want to use a vehicle! The owners are wonderful people, they will facilitate you with instructions and you will feel the critical hospitality! The apartment had all the amenities one needs on vacation

Very welcoming spot, just off the Main Street and 5 minutes from the beach, staff in the hotel are very friendly and will do everything to ensure your stay is just right. Place is spotlessly clean and well kept

Despite being next to the main road the hotel was very quiet throughout the day and is very close to the beach, supermarkets and anything else you can think of

We've stayed here before. A friendly, family run apartment/ hotel. Ideal location for town and beach. Rooms basic but clean .owner attentive.

Overall good apartments tho pool is tiny. However prepare yourselves for unexpected fees, as the host will find any reason to charge you extra fees at the end of your stay

Staying there offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. People laying quietly by the pool during the day then chilling by the bar at night chatting. There was a very respectful vibe to the place

While they don't offer entertainment at night, other than music playing while you relax at the bar, they are situated a 10-15 Min walk from the beach and a short bus/cab ride into town

If you're looking to stay somewhere that's a bit busier and has a nightlife, I'd suggest staying somewhere closer to the beach

Our first time was on our honeymoon, over ten years ago. The family who own and run the villas are very very friendly and happy to help. The apartments themselves are minimal and do the job nicely

But if you just want to take things at your own pace, go exploring and come back to somewhere chilled to relax at night. I'd recommend for single people, couples and families with children

I've seen people complaining about the noise from air traffic and the nearby road. But I rarely noticed either to the point where it was an issue

In high season Xristos is already in the garden early to check that returning walkers let the other guests sleep. A wonderfully cozy holiday where we were able to relax

We enjoyed walking into town,browsing and relaxing. There is a little Land Train nearby which you can hop on and off and we enjoyed this. Plenty of Excusion Outlets to book trips. Lidl is just across the road,very useful

Chersonisos is within walking distance but you are still far enough away not to be bothered by noise. Marianna and Xristos really do everything, absolutely everything to give you a fantastic stay, which it certainly was

Where do I start…the owners MariAnna & Christos are amazing hosts, working tirelessly to ensure you have a perfect & memorable stay, recommending places to visit, assisting with car hire & booking fantastic restaurants

Christos makes filling tasty meals,piping hot and delicious. Extra highlight was adorable Coconut! The little dog who greeted us each day! So cute! We will definately be returning to this special place

The beds are good, breakfast very good and plenty of choice, shower is small but easy to use, hot water and good jet. Hair dryer is available and WiFi is good. Cozy bar where everything is available

Our stay was fine, the food was great, the location of the hotel is huge, you can walk around a lot if you get bored of all the sand and sea, the tax hotel was very expensive 😬 ,most expensive I ever paid on a vacation, 10 € a day, if you wanted air conditioning that had a cost a day too 😬

the beach itself was unpleasant, full of rocks, so watch your feet, if you want to have fun there are lots of activities around you 🙂 ,if you want a good drink just go to any tavern, the hotel drinks are bad 😬

To be honest reading the reviews I was dreading coming here! I can honestly say we’ve had the best time here! The kids have loved it they’ve been busy all week with kids clubs discos every night for them the entertainment staff have been fantastic :) they been playing in pools all day and the rooms are nice as well

* Water slides are old and poorly connected — after using them, my son had bruises and sore ribs. * Staff are not particularly friendly or helpful. **Pros:** * Direct access to the sea

* Food is very basic: lots of processed products, cheap sausages, and the same side dishes repeated daily (rice with lemon, pasta with lemon, fried potatoes with lemon, and mash that tastes like it’s from powder)

The room (we've got upgrate to Family Superior Sea view, duplex) was clean and fresh. 🤌 Staff was friendly and helpful 🧡 Plus, there are a few new bars and a new ropftop pool

However, we felt that the dining area could benefit from more seating and a wider selection of food options, especially during peak meal times when it tended to get a bit crowded

We stayed in Orion building this time (September 2025) and it was one of the best vacations ever 🤩 The food in the Main restaurant was as delicious as always

The quality of food at the Street food was better than in June 2025. 🍔 Drinks at White rabbit was as always 10/10, and at the King Scorpio seemingly better. 🍸 Maybe thanks to the end of season

For a four star hotel I’d at least expect some bottles of water? The pool situation was a bit funny? We could never find a sun lounger around the multiple pools, which were also weirdly spaced around the hotel and like I have mentioned we couldn’t find them as we didn’t have a map, because people always left their towels on the sun loungers early in the morning, then left them there till they went...

Porto Greco Village was a good and clean hotel with many possibilities and friendly staff. Located on the side of Hersonissos and no noice in our room, maybe also because I think the rooms werre not fully booked

As parents with picky kids, we really liked the lunch and dinner buffets, but we also visited the snack bars frequently. You could easily walk between your hotelroom, the different pools, the snack bars and the ocean

Just make sure you have a few warm outfits for day and evening. Entertainment was ok mainly bingo which u pay 5 euros a go. Karaoke and a live pirate performance. Again low season so no entertainment at main bar

Great facilities, slow pace, great weather and lots of fun for the kids: playgrounds, pools, different waterslides, soccer field, kids activities, free ice cream and slushes (as well as a gokartplace nextdoor)

Beach is lovely, sand and big rocks to walk on. Did a safari club jeep experience which was highlight of the holiday. Rooms a little noisy when people are coming back from bar but nothing too crazy

We (parents with 3 kids, age 9, 6 and 3) had a great autumn holiday during this last week of October

Beds and rooms are nice they have shampoo shower gel and moisturiser but no conditioner. Spa was lovely had a massage experience for 80 euros, well worth the money. Weather hasn’t been great but was expecting it

Only negatives; most of the pool tables in the games area are missing a full set of balls

Food was ok and plenty of choice. Ordering drinks from the main bar in the evening was a task and we could be waiting up to 40 mins as only 2-3 staff making drinks

I was pleasantly surprised!! We all had a great time and will be back, We were a family of four, young children, and the room was cozy! I imagine with older children it would be cramped

Beautifully landscaped resort with excellent food options and friendly, attentive staff. Pleasant distance from the airport for transfers. Great for kids (they loved the water slide)

Food selection was good and tasty with different themed nights. Breakfast got a bit boring by day 6, lots of choice just the same every day

My stay was amazing first time travelling to a resort like this solo and was incredibly relaxing the room was amazing and the view was brilliant

There were numerous activites at the resort and a convenient bus to the beach area. Beach Comber at Stallis beach was beautiful, relatively quiet, served excellent cocktails and amazing food

The location was perfect: peaceful yet close enough to everything I needed. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made sure every detail was taken care of, which made the whole experience feel effortless and relaxing

My only critics of Village Heights were: 1. What is/is not included in half board is not well explained at time of booking - I only found out this information on day 2. The power cut out multiple times daily

The bar staff were incredible and really made the evenings memorable the food an entertainment was brilliant. Loved the a la carte options and the view from the upstairs restaurant was amazing at sunset

George, in particular, was exceptionally kind and understanding during a very difficult time for myself. I'm so grateful for the care and compassion shown to me. The room was spacious, cleaned daily, and very comfortable

Housekeeping and bar staff were all friendly and welcoming. The food was good freshly cooked in front of you on the grill and plenty to choose from

From the sea not far away, but to return to the mountain. The food is not bad, but monotonous. Good free beer. The pool area is nice.

Stalis had fantastic stretch of sandy beaches and Hersonisos is definately your party central :) Room are basics yes, but come on people

Beds in room are super comfy, view of the sea and massive coastline is priceless, cleaning service provided daily so there is really nothing to complain about :) Food. we were pleasantly surprised with food
