Very hard to go up the hill carrying your luggage! Many restaurants with good food,shops and Orion rent a car 250 for 1 week it's just 10 minutes down the hill, the problem is going up the hill!Overall we had a wonderful holidays, many thanks to the owners of Driades! The location on the sea front is superb and everything is in walking distance to the hotel. We walked up to Koutouloufari one night too and that only took us half an hour

A really nice stay, Yiannis and Maria are wonderful hosts, both very welcoming and helpful, the cleaning girl has a lovely friendly smile. The location is excellent next to the sea and close to many restaurants

Our flight was very late,and after check out they kindly suggested us to stay by the pool area,offered us some towels and after ordering some drinks in their little bar,we got them on a house

Beautiful apartment, very well located and very quiet, just a stone's throw from the beach. The caretaker is very kind and smiling. The pool is not new but well maintained and the water is perfect.

I spent 28 days at Stella Paradise "by Checkin" and I loved every bit of it. Location is perfect - you are in the center of Hersonisos but it does not get loud at all. You have a kitchen and you can cook some basic staff

There are loads of ATMs but expect an exhausted sigh if you try and use your card in shops. We were a bit disappointed with the view from our balcony

The location of the hotel is convenient as it provides closer access to some of the nice beaches northwest of town. It is far enough away from the noisy places on the harbor, but close enough to stores and restaurants

We arrived at Stella Palace after having to stay in Crete for two weeks. The place is charming and perfectly located—right next to the beach and promenade

There is always someone at the reception, available 24/7. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are well-equipped with everything you need. The Wi-Fi connection is fast and reliable

Stayed at Villa Sonia for middle two weeks in June. Lovely accommodation everything you could want with Lovely sunrise views,right by the sea. Cleaning and towel change every other day

The room is spacious with a lounge/kitchen area, Bathroom and separate bedroom. And not forgetting a good sized balcony right on the seafront

The lady running it and the cleaner were really nice and friendly, they were on hand in case you needed them without being obtrusive. The bathroom is a good size with a great shower which was warm and strong

In the evening after a day of exploring the island the jacuzzi under the stars couldn't have had make us more happier!:) Veronique, who knows the island very well, was also super friendly and helpful, and we got many tips from her

I just stayed in Onira Suite Dreams for the past 3 nights. We had the most amazing time, the property is very modern with lots of incredible amenities. Our villa was a dream come true with the perfect size private pool

Our room had a great private terrace with jacuzzi overlooking the sea. The breakfast options change everyday and are made fresh, everything we tried was really good especially the zucchini pie and scrambled eggs

All of the people working there are very nice, always want to help you have a perfect time. You can easily walk 5 min to the sea to have the perfect sun set

The rooms are gorgeous, modern and very tidy! It is within walking distance to a range of restaurants, bars and beach clubs, and it also has a small but adequate range of bar food and snacks on site that you can order as well

The absolute best aspect of this accommodation, however, is the amazing staff that run it! The owner, Debbie, is so lovely and goes above and beyond to make sure all guests have everything they need

Staying there offers a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. People laying quietly by the pool during the day then chilling by the bar at night chatting. There was a very respectful vibe to the place

While they don't offer entertainment at night, other than music playing while you relax at the bar, they are situated a 10-15 Min walk from the beach and a short bus/cab ride into town

I've seen people complaining about the noise from air traffic and the nearby road. But I rarely noticed either to the point where it was an issue

It's family owned and run and they make you feel a part of that family, its hard to explain exactly how it feels, we normally go all inclusive around Europe and came here for a change and so glad we did

In high season Xristos is already in the garden early to check that returning walkers let the other guests sleep. A wonderfully cozy holiday where we were able to relax

We enjoyed walking into town,browsing and relaxing. There is a little Land Train nearby which you can hop on and off and we enjoyed this. Plenty of Excusion Outlets to book trips. Lidl is just across the road,very useful

Chersonisos is within walking distance but you are still far enough away not to be bothered by noise. Marianna and Xristos really do everything, absolutely everything to give you a fantastic stay, which it certainly was

Christos makes filling tasty meals,piping hot and delicious. Extra highlight was adorable Coconut! The little dog who greeted us each day! So cute! We will definately be returning to this special place

The beds are good, breakfast very good and plenty of choice, shower is small but easy to use, hot water and good jet. Hair dryer is available and WiFi is good. Cozy bar where everything is available

As 2* hotel Zorbas was perfect for trip aruond Crete. We stayed for sleeping and breakfast. Our room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels also. Breakfast and service was very good

Relaxing Holiday in Beautiful Koutouloufari We’ve just returned from a lovely, relaxing holiday and can’t recommend Koutouloufari enough it’s a gorgeous, peaceful area that felt incredibly safe throughout our stay

For what we paid – just £875 in July for three of us including flights from Liverpool, luggage, and transfers it was a fantastic deal! As always, it’s about expectations: if you're paying Lambrini prices, don’t expect Champagne service

That said, we found the staff incredibly friendly, especially because we took the time to chat with them and were respectful particularly to the lovely “Grandma,” who worked incredibly hard, often covering long hours to keep things running smoothly while also helping with childcare for the staff’s children in the evenings

We dined at the onsite restaurant several times and the food was always delicious, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the staff. We had booked a pool view room, paying a little extra, and it was well worth it

Our room was clean and well-maintained, with fresh towels and bedding provided. While the décor was a bit dated, it was typical of Greek apartments and perfectly sufficient for our needs

Unfortunately, not all guests were as considerate – some seemed to lack respect for the staff, moving furniture, climbing out of windows, and generally being unhappy, which was a shame

Clean and accessible to the sea

Very nice room, clean, lots of space, short way to everything. 30 seconds to the beach and the promenade, 1 minute to the main street. Quiet at night, good kitchen in the room, clean and new bathroom

Our stay was fine, the food was great, the location of the hotel is huge, you can walk around a lot if you get bored of all the sand and sea, the tax hotel was very expensive 😬 ,most expensive I ever paid on a vacation, 10 € a day, if you wanted air conditioning that had a cost a day too 😬

* Food is very basic: lots of processed products, cheap sausages, and the same side dishes repeated daily (rice with lemon, pasta with lemon, fried potatoes with lemon, and mash that tastes like it’s from powder)

* Water slides are old and poorly connected — after using them, my son had bruises and sore ribs. * Staff are not particularly friendly or helpful. **Pros:** * Direct access to the sea

* Shampoo and soap were provided only once for the entire stay. * Rooms smell bad after previous guests — likely from smoking. * Air conditioners are dirty and full of mold, not cleaned at all

**Overall impression:** extremely budget-level vacation. Everything feels cheap and overly cost-cut. This hotel is **not even close to a real 4-star** experiece

The room (we've got upgrate to Family Superior Sea view, duplex) was clean and fresh. 🤌 Staff was friendly and helpful 🧡 Plus, there are a few new bars and a new ropftop pool

However, we felt that the dining area could benefit from more seating and a wider selection of food options, especially during peak meal times when it tended to get a bit crowded

We stayed in Orion building this time (September 2025) and it was one of the best vacations ever 🤩 The food in the Main restaurant was as delicious as always

The quality of food at the Street food was better than in June 2025. 🍔 Drinks at White rabbit was as always 10/10, and at the King Scorpio seemingly better. 🍸 Maybe thanks to the end of season

Very nice hotel with lovely food and great vibes from the staff . We spent 2 weeks at Porto Greco and loved every minute of it.

Just make sure you have a few warm outfits for day and evening. Entertainment was ok mainly bingo which u pay 5 euros a go. Karaoke and a live pirate performance. Again low season so no entertainment at main bar

Beds and rooms are nice they have shampoo shower gel and moisturiser but no conditioner. Spa was lovely had a massage experience for 80 euros, well worth the money. Weather hasn’t been great but was expecting it

Beach is lovely, sand and big rocks to walk on. Did a safari club jeep experience which was highlight of the holiday. Rooms a little noisy when people are coming back from bar but nothing too crazy

Football court is good size, felt very safe in this hotel and was happy to let 12 and 14 year olds to go off and play. Food is lovely a good selection but a little cold hence 4 star

Snacks outside of breakfast, lunch, and dinner are fantastic as well. You can choose from fresh vegetables, fruit salads, or classics like pizza and toasties – even vegetarians will be happy

Great location, chilled atmosphere as we visited in end of March early April)Easter holiday. So only half of the bars and facilities were open. This didn’t affect us too much

The sea is very rocky underfoot here but we enjoyed that because it means there’s an abundance of fish to view in shallow water close to the shore. Excellent for newbie snorkellers and/ or kids

Food was ok and plenty of choice. Ordering drinks from the main bar in the evening was a task and we could be waiting up to 40 mins as only 2-3 staff making drinks

I was pleasantly surprised!! We all had a great time and will be back, We were a family of four, young children, and the room was cozy! I imagine with older children it would be cramped

Beautifully landscaped resort with excellent food options and friendly, attentive staff. Pleasant distance from the airport for transfers. Great for kids (they loved the water slide)

Can be tricky securing sunloungers by the pool areas and the nighttime entertainment can be a bit noisy if staying near the amphitheatre. The beach is clean and super accessible

I had the most relaxing experience and my masseuse was absolutely incredible. Her name is Zorina and she was so good at checking in on me and asking if I preferred anything

Room Room 362 was half way up the hill overlooking the sea and also the main pool/childrens pool, there was loud music all day so no chance of a siesta and the towels were out very early

’ Our family and a few others were told we could not stay and were taken to their other 5* hotel Blue Sea Beach (Stalis) by taxi. We were offered food before we left

Overbooking seems to be a common issue here and the other hotel is used regularly- our room (362) was ready the following morning (as check out is at 11) but we spent a while waiting at Stalis for our taxi (supplied by the hotel)

The story about no electricity didn’t stack up as the other people we came back with were put in other blocks and there were people already in the other rooms. We would have preferred honesty

When we did finally arrive at Zeus, as a sweetener, we were given 2 x 30mins massages in the spa, which we used. There was a push to spend more but I declined as we hadn’t had the best start

We are given all inclusive at the new place which was very nice. Reading other reviews, this is not uncommon, but we weren’t expecting it, we just wanted to relax and unpack
