Hotels with sea view in Crete

Just came back from a week at this brilliant hotel, the area was nice, the rooms were comfortable and very spacious, the food was gorgeous lots of varieties every day, lots of variety as well with the drinks, service from all the workers was also the same high standard that everything else was, think this will be a regular holiday destination for me from now on

We stayed at Dore Hotel For a week on 10th of July. We had such a lovely relaxing Week as needed. The most important thing about this hotel was the people. Everyone was so accommodating , hard working and professional

One of the best sea views, we’ve had. The staff in the hotel were very helpful, we went into Chania one night and they arranged taxis

As we were leaving at the end of the season we were also able to keep our room until we left which was a great help after Jet2 changed the flight many times! With two vegetarians in our party, we had concerns about food but any concerns were unfounded

Five of us, ranging in age from 15-50 visited Dore Hotel for the last week of the season

We had a lovely week helped by weather in the 70s and occasionally hotter! We spent a lot of time choosing the hotel and picked the best one for us as a group. We had two rooms with sea views that had a lovely outlook

They have a kettle and a coffee filter - here, maybe they can upgrade to a more modern coffee machine (like the ones with pods), cutlery and plates. So if you want to cook small dishes, maybe is enough

Beds were very comfortable and quite large. Service: staff and management were very nice and attentive. Maybe 2-3 bottles with water in the room on arrival will be nice for a 4* hotel. Pool: spacious enough and clean

We had a medium fridge, good enough to keep some food to eat in the room and few bottles of water. They even have an electric stove, one frying pan and medium saucepan, but we never used

Service is great, the room service girls will help cater to your needs. Thank you everyone at Archipelagos Residence for making my stay in Rethymno wonderful & contributing to my impressive photo collection

An excellent hotel with very spacious rooms. The hotel is situated on a hillside with 3 separate lifts. The hotel has a small beach directly in front over the road which is really nice.

We enjoyed our Rethymno holiday on Archipelagos Hotel. Location: 10-15 minutes walk from Rethymno Old Town (main area to hang around in Rethymno. Room: quite modern, spacious and cleaned every day

Great staff and quality experience. I will never forget this holiday and they friends we met here. All the people here were really friendly and run well by the staff

Antisocial behaviour NOT tolerated at all! Food fresh and gorgeous. few mins walk one direction brought you to the funky strip

Great idea not to charge for air con as keeps the price low but there if you need it, makes perfect sense so you're not paying for something you might not need, especially out of season

The atmosphere was so chilled and I had the best relaxing week! The old town which was 10 minutes walk away was absolutely beautiful, lots of restaurants to chose from away from the main *****

The hotel was lovely, with an excellent location next to the old town, where there were loads of lovely restaurants. Great swimming pool and friendly staff, particularly Maria

The only comment would be the need for more storage in the room, maybe some more drawers and a slightly larger kitchen area

Also a really lovely, if a bit hilly walk down to a quiet beach with some lovely restaurants and tavernas. 11 out of 10! And looking forward to visiting the new family next year ♥️

It is relatively well located with a couple of beach areas within a 10/15 minute walk. The local main beach is very narrow and I think it's a charge of €10 per couple of sun beds

There were plenty of sun beds and seating options. The room service and poolside service is very reasonable and food and drinks were great. The pools are rather cold, but make for great breaks from the heat of the sun

But, it's a nice atmosphere, plenty of eateries and shops. The sea was clear and even in October fine for swimming and snorkeling. You can walk along the top of the rocks to a viewpoint at the end

The food was fresh and options ranged from continental to cooked. The breakfasting area has nice sea views and was a lovely start to the day

The view from the room we had was awesome, we paid extra for an upgrade to an apartment with sea view and can totally recommend this

The room was indeed spotless and the staff supportive and courteous. The helped with arrangements for local travel and airport transfers seamlessly.

The location is ideal: the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood but still close to the Old Town and the main attractions. Having secure parking was a big plus, especially since I rented a car directly through the hotel

The building itself is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere inside feels warm, welcoming, and truly relaxing. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional—always ready to assist with a smile

The car rental service was excellent—fast, easy, and stress-free. The vehicle was in perfect condition, fully insured, and came with unlimited mileage and 24-hour roadside assistance

Not in a really good area as nothing much along the seafront. Beach not fab stones and shingle with a tiny bit of sand. Jet2 needs to update description. Food not really good , poor choice and lukewarm

The hotel was clean and well maintained throughout, including the pool and gardens. No issue with sun-beds either, there are plenty to go round. Plenty of variety at every meal time

We had a wonderful stay at Maleme Mare, right from the friendly welcome. The staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble

Lovely restaurant along the beach front think it was called Mythos the one with blue table cloths at the side of pizza oven. Trips land train ok to blue lagoon but not worth the money. Local buses excellent service

Desserts same every mealtime just different colours and often still partially frozen. Other guests said food was a lot better than the previous years. Not sure why you would repeat visit if food not good

Not much at kolymbari but a nice beach with sand. Platanias lots of gift shops to browse

The villas are perfectly located in the quiet fishing village, moments away from the sea (with three beaches within walking distance) and minutes from a variety of tavernas - our favourite being George and Georgia! We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend

We had room 115 which was so special as it looked directly out to the sea, and also meant you could step out to the breakfast terrace in the morning. And on that note, breakfast was delicious

Breakfast was good (especially the yoghurt)! Panormo itself is really charming, as are all the people. Lovely restaurants in the village and the sea is wonderful!

I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews on this place it really is a hidden gem, situated in the heart of panormos a stone's throw from the beach and Tavernas it is one of the most relaxing places you can visit, the rooms are basic but immaculate all with a balcony and all you need whilst on holiday, the breakfast is a mixture of items that are baked by Maria who for us is the star of the show...

Spacious, clean apartments, friendly people, top service, beautiful homecooked breakfast. Quiet and picture perfect spot on harbour front in the east end of Panormos. Village and beaches in walking distance

Everything was fresh, and a mix of continental and fresh poached eggs. The room was really clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and an amazing bathroom (really modern with a walk in rain shower)

Every part of the pool gets the sun eventually throughout the day. The onsite supermarket is well stocked and there are plenty of supermarkets on the seafront. Breakfast is €14 and plenty to choose from

There is a well stocked shop onsite but also a big supermarket less than 5mins walk away, between them you can find everything you need The entertainments were goof and children enjoyed the soft play area and other little bits put on by the reps We were not able to attend the greek night in the hotel but found one running several nights a week in a restaurant near the roundabout just 5mins away The...

Don’t expect thrills but if you want a clean hotel with exceptional staff then give it a try. A special mention to Anna on reception. If you want any advice on what to do and see while you’re there then she is your lady

The pools were great, some reviews complain about finding a sunbed but we did not find this to be the case, perhaps it depends on other guests. At the beginning of our stay the sunbeds by the main pool were taken by 7

The walk into the old town is about 20ish minutes and again some fantastic restaurants and cocktail bars. The one at the start of the harbour was very good. The restaurants do prefer cash but will take card

The hotel is conveniently located, and the rooms are very clean. Service is available 24 hours a day. The breakfast is good, with a reasonable selection and very fresh ingredients

Perfectly located hotel for a Chania City experience. Beside a great café and walking distance to the port and bus station. A very nice breakfast as part of the stay as well.

Great location strip a 10 min walk and beach 15 mins from hotel. No fighting wars for a sunbed which was a massive bonus as this is always an issue when abroad. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning

The staff make the stay Friendly and helpful. Love george the Barman he made our honeymoon special. Karina the entertainments lady was brilliant. Funny and made the nights great fun , I even won bingo lol

Food was plentiful I did prefer the breakfast as there was lots on offer ,we were half board so I was disappointed that you had to buy a drink even water 💧with your meal maybe they should change that

Food was average nothing special, Breakfast was good, dinner was quite repetitive could be more choice of deserts You have to pay if you want coffee or tea after dinner, even had to pay for a drink of water, I think that's very mean This hotel is suitable for the older person, as a lot of guests were50+ The pool area needed a good brush and mopping fag butt's everywhere

The cleaning ladies come quite often, but if you keep things tidy, sometimes they don't even have to do anything

Good place, the sea is near, tasty food, enough clean

The hotel staff is nice, the food is delicious, the pool is a bit shallow but suitable for swimming, the hotel's location is excellent, there are many places around the hotel where we can eat various delicious meals, there's also a supermarket nearby, and the beach is practically right under the hotel

They say this hotel is only 3 stars. Staff was super nice and friendly, food was great, reallyclose to the beach and many interesting places to visit by foot. I wish i could live there, can't wait to visit again

So, while the hotel facilities are probably worth 3 stars, rather than 4, the location makes up for a lot. If you are looking for a great location, and don’t expect too much luxury, I would recommend this hotel

And the food is where this hotel is really lacking. Over cooked, and if you have food allergies, it's a no-no

The hotel is very nice and recommendable, not too big and a well-kept complex. The service is great, Maria Brazil and her colleagues are very friendly. A few minutes walk to the beach and the pool is fantastic too

They are friendly, attentive, and always have an open ear. We particularly want to mention Maria from the reception. She welcomed us warmly, is professional, and a wonderful person

There are no regular restaurants around the hotel that can meet the quality of food presented here! The employees are all so friendly and kind, giving you the best service and completing the whole holiday experience at the Kalypso hotel!!! We will return here again and can recommend it without any doubts…

The Kalypso in Malia - Crete is a little gem. The hotel is quietly located and the city center (party mile) can be reached in just a 15-minute walk

Booked last minute & was very impressed especially for the money we paid, we had a double room on 2nd floor with town view great balcony with 2 chairs & table, the beds were so comfy made my stay, great little bathroom with a very powerful shower rooms were cleaned every day & towels changed very clean hotel

Room was booked as a standard double room but it was a twin room. Room was very dated and needs some updating. No storage for toiletries etc in the bathroom

This is an excellent 3* hotel with a very relaxed atmosphere. The bedding towels changed everyday. The rooms are perfect ,clean and Greek. The food was very good and something for everyone

The hotel staff are one big family and brilliant, the room staff really work hard to keep everyone happy, restaurant staff very attentive and quick tockear and clean, 24 hkur reception very experienced, I even experienced Greek dancing with the manager

The location couldn't be any better, 1 min marina beach and excellent walks around the peninsula from Marina to the port and lake this way is a flat surface to walk it

I wish the hotel management will take care and keep the hotel as nice as it is today. Simple design, but with some art decorations. Nice pool area and reasonable sea entrance. Close to restaurant, shops or car rentals

The sea beach is rocky, so you need sea shoes, and the waves were big, so it was not allowed to go into the water, but they got an own pool, where the kids can play. The daily room cleaning is really professional

The hotel is nice, new renovated and lies beside the sea, where the view is amazing. You can see the sunrise and the sunset from your balcony. The breakfast is good, the bar is fairly priced

Fridge in the room which is good for cooling down bought bottled water. Food can be eaten under the umbrellas with the view at the sea

There are some concrete plates in the entrance to the sea which makes the entrance difficult so sea shoes are recommended

The Maravel Star art is a really nice hotel. It is not too small and not too big, directly st the beach and it was renovated last year. We got one with ocean and pool view and the balcony was so big

Hotel located on the seafront in the center of Sithìa. Very clean, welcoming and bright room with a nice terrace. Good breakfast with lots of choice

The hotel is very well located, with a magnificent view of the sea and the town of Sitia. There's a rooftop pool, a friendly welcome, and private parking 300m away

Everything was great I arrived at 1. 30am and there is a 24h reception. The rooms are clean and big, the bathroom is clean and good shower yet little old. A terrace with city and seaview

Really nice hotel, we only stayed one night but had wished we stayed longer. We booked day of and check in was very fast and efficient. Rooms were clean and bathrooms were nice. Elevator to carry luggage up and down

For the return trip we used a taxi for 6 Euro because it was 35-40 °C when we visited. The hotel is quiet, because located at the edge of town near a forest. We loved Forest Park and can recommend it

A lovely little hotel in Rethymno. It's located on a hill, so you should be reasonably fit or have a car. Great view. Friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner were just okay.

We had a fantastic stay at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel and would happily return. We visited as a family on a half-board basis, and the food was a real highlight of our trip

The hotel is right next to the beach and within easy walking distance of local restaurants and bars. It’s also only about a 7-minute drive to Lake Kournas, which is well worth a visit

It has a beautiful outside heated pool with super comfy sun loungers (which was perfect for us in April) , a beautiful spa, rooftop jacuzzi, gym area and rooftop bar. I 100 percent recommend this hotel

From the moment we arrived at Georgioupolis Beach Hotel, I felt instantly at home. We had Dinner and drinks at the rooftop lounge which was amazing

We would have stayed longer but ran into an issue unrelated to the hotel however Maria at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and her assistance was invaluable in sorting out our issue! Definitely staying here again next time I visit Heraklion

Fantastic location for arriving on Crete. Superb service and rooms that are comfortable and excellently clean for the price that one pays

The breakfast was basic: scrambled eggs, small local sausages, delicious ham, vegetables, and cheese. The cappuccino was a bit sweet, and the juices were packaged

To top it off, our luggage was lost and the receptionist called the airport for us and dealt with the delivery of our luggage, gave us all points of taxi services at affordable rates, called car rental companies and really helped us out a lot

In the morning, we were a couple minutes late for breakfast and they had already cleaned the kitchen. The staff and receptionist brought out everything for us to enjoy the breakfast

a good hotel by the sea, its own beach, a restaurant with a view of the sea, a large parking lot, the only downside is that for some reason they also made parking spaces right in front of the windows of some of the rooms, it would be better if they weren't there, it spoils the view, the staff is nice, everyone is polite, we were surprised that they gave us a brand new umbrella for free to use for...

Everything is modern in the room. Breakfast is good, but could be crowded and at these moments serving dishes are empty. Not enough staff to serve, clean, and prepare tables. We were there at the end of the season

Cannot imagine how they are operating in the season. Beach is nice but the water is shallow and you need to walk for a good 5 min to be able to go deep in the water. Beach chairs are very low and not really comfortable

The staff are all ridiculously friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet was terrific and the view from our room was lovely. (We had room 6 which is supposedly the best one) Hope to visit again in the future

Nice comfortable chairs are around the pool, but only 4 of them, and you cannot move them even a little bit to get a shade. They do not open any umbrellas on the deck with the statement that it is a wind
