Hotels with sea view in Crete

It feels tranquil and relaxing, even in peak holiday season. The food is excellent- we opted for for full board. The sunsets from the beach bar are incredible

I am a 5 star hotel traveller had many an experience good and bad, we ad a fantastic stay and we're treated with loving care throughout our stay, five star + to all the staff who made or stay a special experience

Instead you’ll find peace, tranquility , sea views and sunsets to die for and restaurants offering amazing fresh food

These smiles are on all the staff throughout the hotel despite it being the end of the season

From our point of view we hope that this calm atmosphere never changes as even when the hotel is full to capacity it never feels so - in fact the hotel just seems to absorb the crowds and remains therapeutically relaxing and laid back

1) Location : The Royal Blue is just an oasis of calm , tucked away in an unspoilt area of Crete. There are no tavernas nearby or rowdy bars so this is not for you if you are looking for a party hotel

The location of the hotel is ideal. It is near all the local amenities. There is a supermarket around the corner which I believe is open until late. We found a little farmers market where we bought gifts

There is a lot do there on and off site. The atmosphere is very peaceful the white sofas in reception give that calming effect. with orange juice and are checked in very quickly

I forgot the lady's name but you checked us and you were lovely. We came off a late flight and we offered food which was very thoughtful. However a tour of the hotel would have been ideal at this point

The hotel was lovely, very clean and modern and although our room was not supposed to have a sea view it looked out over the pool and the sea

Fantastic Holiday from start to finish the most amazing experience, service beyond expectation. Breakfast was varied and very nice every day. Dinners were also especially nice

I also found staff were often in a rush to see if you had finished eating to take your plate. Also being told that we couldn't seat at a four seated table because we are two people

When it came to parking the valet service was amazing. again our team's hours were out of the ordinary and well outside of the staff's hours. When the team lead explained, again, the staff accommodated our needs

The location was great - nearly in the middle of Chania and within walking distance of the old town and the port. The service was great, with the staff really trying to be very helpful

Breakfast was great with lots of choice. Parking was interesting tho, but the staff helped heaps to ensure that we could arrive and leave without too much fuss. The rooms were quite roomy and the beds comfy

We stayed at Samaria Hotel for four nights as a couple with a toddler, and the experience was simply wonderful. The hotel is charming with a perfect location, everything is spotless and sparkling clean

The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, making the stay very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing, generous, and delicious. Above all, the staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and warm

Service was impeccable and thanks to Bena, Maria, Likourgos and George for their hospitality and awesome advice on things to do (and avoid). Stay in the top floor penthouse if you can

Great choice of pools-main one was busy with shallower to deeper end, small baby pool next to main pool, splash pool with toddler slides and water sprays, main waterpark/slides which came into pool and then at the opposite end of hotel was a gorgeous pool that felt very exclusive with a self service snacks fridge and soft drinks machine

Very beautiful hotel with polite service. Food are very delicious but the only downside was its repetition. Swimming pool and slides are very funny. Animators complemented each day with cool attractions

But it was easy taking the local bus to Chania, Agia Marina or Platanias to visit tourist stores and places. The local bus whent every 20 minutes. The resort was nice and it had much of what you could ask for

We had the all inclusive, don't know if there was any other option at this hotel. There were plenty of food options to use from, salads, starters, main course and desserts. Service was good and friendly

Hotel consisted of several two story apartment buildings with plenty of rooms in every building. The atmosphere at resort was nice, much flowers, plants and trees. Rooms were nice, we had two rooms

There was a bar and a small grill at the pool were refreshments could be gotten. Snacks, french fries, burgers etc. and later in the evening cocktails. The personal was friendly and helpful

Best buffet in the world!!! Truly we couldn’t stop eating haha . Our room was very nice. Lovely pools . Really kids and family friendly. The water park is amazing also for adults

My stay at The Royal Senses Hotel in Crete was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home

The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining modern luxury with traditional Cretan touches that create a tranquil and inviting atmosphere

Property was visually beautiful. Lots of nice pools and great views. We were switched into a different room “equivalent” than what was booked. Need to have a car rented or you will be stuck in the property

Value for the money was not there

I especially loved the private pool, which added an extra layer of relaxation to my stay. Dining at the hotel was a highlight, with a variety of restaurants offering fresh, delicious, and locally sourced dishes

There is 2 mascots Captain T & Tui the robot who again my little girl just adored and they also do a healthy eating scheme which encouraged my daughter to eat super well this holiday in order for her to collect stickers and get a certificate! Also another special mention for Freyja who was on the desk in the lobby ready to greet us every morning, she paid extra attention to us and our little girl which...

My review is based on what we paid for a family of 4, all inclusive, it was definitely worth the special offer price, however it is not a 4* hotel (though we didn’t pay 4* prices)

This is a lovely hotel in a peaceful location, our room was perfect, overlooking pool and sea view. Spacious room with comfortable beds

We went at the start of the season and it was peaceful, the entertainment was outstanding for the kids and our little one loved it. The food was great, the drinks and staff were wonderful

The outdoor seating is good if you can get a seat but again lacks atmosphere. I’m not a fan of loud music but it would really benefit from some kind of holiday music, a live band and some lighting

Where do I start? I need to mention the hotel itself, it’s beautiful and definitely lives up to its name ‘Elounda Breeze’ that breeze is very welcomed on the hot days that we had! It is very hilly so be prepared to walk but there are the gentlemen staff that can give you a lift in one of the carts (which my little girl enjoyed very much- especially sitting backwards)! Lovely sandy beach with private sunbeds (plenty), food was delicious, plenty to choose from, especially if you like fish or seafood, I have tried grilled octopus that’s very rare to find in buffet restaurant in hotels

We enjoyed our vacation very much, room was big and had a nice view to the sea. Food was generally great, good variety and very service minded and friendly staff.

All the staff was super friendly anywhere you go, reception, pool bar, blue moon bar, room service and animation team for kids! My son loved it every minute of it! Thank you for such an amazing holiday! We are thinking of coming back again next year!

The entertainment staff were brilliant, very friendly, spoke to everyone around the pool each day and their evening shows were so good, the effort put in from them all was amazing! Big shout out to David! Our daughters just thought he was the best 😊

I have visited this hotel together with my dad and my son at the end of October 2025 and I have to say for anyone who consider of going in what an amazing place that is!!! Beautiful hotel, rooms are spacious, very clean with beautiful view

We had an excellent family stay at Atlantica Mikri Poli Crete in October. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and the views are stunning. The staff were fantastic – so friendly and attentive to all our needs

The staff are great here everyone very friendly, Sypro’s at the pool bar looked after us really well and went over and above and made the best cocktails! Thank you! Also the lady at breakfast with red and black braids she was very cheerful every morning always in high spirits

There isn’t that much going on in the town/village but we started off getting taxis to the main places but then rented a car from across the hotel for €130 for 5 days which saved us lots of money, as it’s around €25 each way to get to an from the main towns near by

We went half board which was good we were happy because they said we can swap evening meal for lunch which worked for us as we like to eat out in different places in the evening

We didn’t manage to make it but the Greek night at knossos in the village looked and sounded great, we went on a normal night and the owners were so welcoming so give that ago

Hotel is good food, good variety with all all inclusive hotel food it’s a little samey but I can’t complain

Cretan blue restaurant is amazing too but a 25 minute drive away

Food is nice but only 1 restaurant available during low season

They had fantastic vegan options at all the restaurants we visited from the breakfast buffet, to the Blue Monkey, Xasteria and Minotaur which we truly appreciated. The property was beautifully maintained

The place is very clean, stylish and a real 5-star hotel. We went to free Pilates session & cookie session. Service is very accommodating, sauna open specially for us untill 21:00 instead of 18:00

We enjoyed our stay. All the hotel staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel is extremely family friendly. The only downside was the limited variety of fruits available at breakfast.

The rooms are clean and spacious with spectacular sea views. All inclusive has alcoholic drinks as mentioned on their website and also a bit more than that

Beautiful hotel and surroundings, the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, the food was superb and freshly made and refreshed in a timely manner, our entire family were extremely happy with the food choices each day and the all inclusive aspect meant we never missed out on any snacks or ice creams around the pools

The hotel is close to the little beach at the bottom of the hill and this is well worth a visit and we often enjoyed a few hours down there soaking up the sun or getting a different view over sunset

This is a lovely hotel but I wouldn't class it as a 4 star hotel. It is in a beautiful location, stunning views and a quaint little beach in a bay with lots of water activities

Very good city location by walking distance to the Port, Bazaar (Central) and short driving distance to the Hanya Beaches. Excellent and very warm hospitality! Good room with good-brand almost new furnished bathroom

It did not have the widest selection of food but still nice regardless. The bathroom was very modern and gorgeous. Although I did not request a balcony room, I still had a small balcony anyway which was nice

Less than a fifteen minute walk to the old town and main seafront area. There was a great supermarket close to the hotel, which was good to pick up a few extra things for my stay. Overall, I loved my stay here

Wonderful weeks break, the hotel location is a short walk into Stalis and on the beach. Plenty of pools to relax for adults or spend quality time with kids if a family

There's also a convienient laundry rack in the rooms. The food was fine, maybe needed some more salt at times. We arrived quite late and they even had a cold buffet waiting for us which we didn't expect!

The kids klubb was lovely for my cousins. The entertainment was so nice and put in a lot of effort. My aunt went there last year and the hotel and entertainment has had a great improvement. Wonderful!

Can go to the beach too which is owned by another hotel but that's fine. Some people say the pool towels cost extra but the first one is free and you're free to use it throughout the week

We arrived at the hotel and immediately they upgraded our room to a room with a private pool (very nice, but unfortunately not usable). Everything was perfect and appreciated

Very nice place for families and very nice staff. Walters at the resturant very kind. The cook was very nice also. Great menu and dishes.

On the other hand, in the two restaurants, unfortunately, the food is not made on site, Just heats it up and serves it

The food in the main room is excellent and with a wide selection, the chef is always there with a big smile

The High Beach Resort is a very well-maintained and visually appealing hotel complex. We arrived on April 2nd, 2026, the official start of the season

According to locals, the day before the hotel opened, Crete experienced an unprecedented weather phenomenon – a Saharan sandstorm that left unmistakable traces and completely undid the extensive cleaning work carried out beforehand at the hotel complex

The hotel has really surprised us with its extremely warm hospitality and high level of the standards. The territory, rooms and the beach are clean and wery well maintained. The staff is absolutely friendly and useful

Apparently the balcony room wasn’t on our voucher and is extra which wasn’t stated, anyhow they moved us to a side view room with a balcony, which was much nicer, thats all we wanted

We seriously thought we had made a mistake booking this hotel, we got to receptionist at 9am only to be told the manager wasn’t there until 11am, so we returned

The walk to leapetra is about 10-15 minutes, easy walk, you can cut through to the promenade which is pleasant through to the bars and restaurants

All in all we enjoyed our stay, the staff are lovely (-1) and would recommend if you aren’t too fussy about the smaller things

They left us some food out which was awful, the room also had no balcony, we booked this hotel as it stated every room had one

The food itself was faultless- so fresh with lots of choice and the orange juice just out of this world! We are Scottish and can’t access Mediterranean fruits that fresh so really savoured the freshness of the salads and fruits

Our luggage was set aside whilst we were presented with cold towels & lemonade and the receptionist checked us in. It was almost midnight and check in was quick and efficient as we were tired from our travels

Next morning we went for breakfast and another warm welcome was given by all the lovely restaurant staff (all the Katerinas, Nectarina; and Barbara - all assets to the hotel with their sunny dispositions)

Lunch service again a choice of beautiful salads, desserts and cooked to order Greek Grill or Mediterranean style main courses. Dinner from one of the 5 a la carte restaurants also cooked to order

We had a room upgrade to a sea view which was nice. Breakfast was plentiful but as it was end of season the bread rolls and croissants were very dry

The fruit had swarms of fruit flies so we decided not to bother, but there were other options. The pool area looked nice and clean with lots of seating options

Strange that such a kitchen cannot offer nightly ala carte menu. Again, I think most of the guests just eat whatever is in the buffet. We didn’t try it as my buffet experience at resort hotels in Greece has not been good

The bed was comfortable but storage is quite limited due to the small size of the room. The decor and furniture is on the old and outdated side. The bathroom is very small and a bit tight to get in and out of the shower

There is always a line to the espresso and cappuccino machine which do make passable coffees. I do dislike the crowdedness and the intense atmosphere for breakfast. There is nothing idyllic about it

Pretty good place, the pools great and the food was really nice and theres amazing people there too, the only thing that bothered me were the mosquitoes but its okay.

Second day was woken up to an earthquake couple of days later a sand storm. Location very close to the sea and the *****. Be prepared to be hassled to go into the bars

The restaurant provided an impressive variety of dishes — from fresh seafood and meats to salads, fruits, and delicious desserts

Of the seasonal fruits at the beginning of September there were kiwi, 2 types of grapefruit, watermelon, melon, grapes, orange, lemon. And of course the view of the sea during the meal was a treat every time

Our experience here was wonderful. The food is amazing, we ate a lot every day, desserts were great too. There is an open bar + ice cream bar as well. The weather was so nice, even in October, very sunny and warm
