A very smart hotel with excellent sea views and a lovely main swimming pool. You can have room with its own jacuzzi and garden, or one with a plunge pool or a share infinity pool

Special mention to Michaela who welcomed us at our arrival, showed us all the place and gave us some tips; to Leandros who took care of our concerns, to Valentina and Claudia in the swimming pool and Eleni, Chara and Eva for the special evenings at the Buddha Bar, great team! Hopefully we will come back

The best and most luxurious hotel we’ve ever stayed at! We truly felt at home. everyone was so kind and dedicated. The food was of exceptional quality, and the entire experience was amazing

Great hotel, actually perfect!! We had the room with private pool it's amazing. The restaurants are a little expensive but well worth it and the food is amazing. I would most probably come here again

The bath by the bed and open plan wash basin is a bit odd, and if you do feel like having a bath, it would take an absolute age to fill

The rooms are spotless but more attention to refilling teas coffee and replacement of towels would be better than the little treats left

Pro's : - clean and organized hotel which looks as a 4* hotel; - the beach is clean and with nice sand and water; - in the morning the sea is calm and in the afternoon nice waves; - the hotels gardens are are nice and maintain correctly; - the hotel personal was nice (we arrived at 3 o'clock AM and they offers us some snacks and water even was not included) - due to some problems with a cancel flight...

Great hotel with excellent food and stuff. Close to the beach. Nice tennis court. The room is clean and spacious with nice sea view. Spa is relaxing.

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days with the family for summer vacation. We've stayed at the hotel multiple times as the staff here are personable and friendly. Our kids love the food, the beach and the area in general

The staff in ol the hotel was very friendly and professional. Reception, bar, restaurant, kitchen, beach restaurant, absolutely great. We don't know we're to start and we're to end speaking about this excellent stay

As soon as we had a first look of the hotel and came inside I was greeted with some amazing staff and made us feel very comfortable for our first time, then as we made it to our room we felt so heartwarming with how clean they tidied the room for us! Then as we woke up in the morning we went and had a absolute delicious breakfast with a variety of choices

The rooms are spacious with a nice balcony - rooms are cleaned everyday and towels are changed every 2 days. The air con worked perfectly too which is vital in the scorching Greek weather

The best part is when we saw the pool for the first time it was so massive! And there was toys you can play with when you go in the pool like floats and balls, the lifeguard kept watching over us just in case something wrong happened and I am very thankful for this, there is also a bar with some nice drinks and snacks

And can I explain how amazing the location is located! It has a supermarket and mini market next to it with a nice restaurant which have some nice gyros, All I can say is i totally recommend this place, Thank you for this lovely experience for our first time in Greece!

There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel which made transportation to and from Heraklion simple and fast. Hotel is 10 minutes drive to the airport. Had a wonderful first time experience here

We didn't enjoy the breakfast 'cause we got up late but we enjoyed the pool, we enjoyed the hospitality and the beach is 200m away. We were three guys staying here and we really liked it

We stayed for one week and we felt very good! All the staff was very polite and always smiling and ready to help. The rooms are very clean, the pool was nice even in october and the food was delicious and diverse.

We landed in Heraklion, to absolutely no wheelchairs at all, security told us to take a seat and they’d find us a chair, 30 mins later, still no chair so walked to baggage claim

Only a small amount of rooms so always space by the bar and pool. No sunbed races in the morning! Foods of a good variance in the restaurant each night with your stable chips option if nothing takes your fancy

The ruby royal area gets sun later in the day so if thats what you are after, get one of those rooms. All staff very welcoming and pleasant

The Cretan old town is only a 10 minute walk south, and the beach a 10 minute walk north

Crispy around the edges then placed on a hot plate. Similar with varying foods every time. This station should be cooking as requested. It takes 2 minutes to cook an egg. I'd much prefer to have it cooked for me

The beach with the sea right across the road from the resort, so it was a great location! The sea was beautiful, clean and the beach was also the cleanest I have ever seen

The staff was nice and helpful, the rooms were beautifully cleaned every day, the food was very very tasty. Overall, the hotel was clean, the pools were clean, the sunbeds were washed regularly, as were the sidewalks

Since the all-day animation programs were full of various activities and a different special program every evening, we didn't have time to go see much anywhere else, it was so delicious and fun

We took our water shoes, but in the end they were not needed, as the beach was just clean sand, nothing else. A shop with groceries and other things right next to the resort if not part of it

We spent 8 days (7 nights) at the Astir Beach Hotel and it was the best and most beautiful vacation I have ever had! It left strong memories and feelings in me

Lovely hotel, super location on the beach short walk to centre (lake) 5 mins only, supermaket outside, reasonable spa, lovely room nice decor, amazing amaneiteis - Cool Clarins bottle red color, breakfast restaruarant on 5/F overlooking the sea, infinty pool all great

Stayed at NIKO for a long weekend in mid October - we had the BEST weather (sunny and warm but not too hot) and really enjoyed our time there. The views are just stunning (definitely recommend sea-view rooms)

I’m not your normal busybody who leaves reviews for anything I am however exceptionally fussy and this by far is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in having visited many hundreds of hotels over the last 40 years the room the staff the food everything was superb and the location is fantastic

We had an upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast plentiful and varied but fried eggs had been out for a while. Having said that the service was excellent and I could probably have asked for fresh ones.

The reception is very good informed about the sight seeings and more activities. Actually the tips they proposed were priceless. to many unknown beautiful places in close distance that we will return to visit

We stumbled across this amazing place sort of by accident, having pre-booked other accommodation in the area but didn’t like it when we got there. So we had to find a suitable alternative very quickly

I ‘ve stayedin Faedra Beach hotel this year in august. I liked the hotel staff, always helpful, friendly and welcome. I felt I was the local amongs them. The room was clean, and being cleaned every morning

We had dinner in the room, you can buy food in the minimarket nearby or in the supermarket - the bus stop is very close. And of course the sun and sea are super. Cool, clear, turquoise water and waves

This place is magical! It’s in such a special place and has an wonderful energy. Early November is a beautiful time to go - very peaceful beach, exquisite clear water, calm, and such a warm welcome

The room was really clean and bright and a very comfortable big bed - we slept so well. The food is very good and all staff really helpful and friendly

This was my third stay at Eliros Mare, and yet again it reminded me why I keep coming back: it is one of those rare places where you immediately feel at home while still enjoying the benefits of a beautifully run beachfront resort

I once again chose a beachfront room, because nothing compares to stepping outside and being only a few steps from the sea. The view is truly breathtaking, especially at sunrise

If you choose this room category, you should be aware of that, but for me the privilege of having the sea at my doorstep far outweighs any background music from the shows

We had a great experience: the hotel is very well located in front of the beach, facilities are great, the staff is extremely helpful and the food was very good. Highly recommend.

The food, greek and international, was great at all occasions (don't miss out the traditional greek dinner you can have at the beach bar). Only, during dinner the restaurant could be a bit crowded, loud

The all inclusive service is nice and includes all one can need (on the departure day, there is the option to extend the all inclusive service which would otherwise end at noon)

However, once you locate it and go upstairs, the rooms are completely modern and beautiful. The delightful breakfasts are served on the second floor and the staff are all helpful and charming

Despite these various inconveniences, Scala de Faro is one of the nicest boutique hotels I've ever stayed in. The location is fabulous, as you can walk to most of the places you will want to visit in Chania

Be aware that it is located in the middle of the main walkway along the port (although the entrance is on the street behind the port) and can be a little difficult to find

Staff was English speaker which was really good, they were very friendly

Scala de Faro is a small, historic boutique hotel in Chania, Crete

Because it is fairly small and is in a very old building, you will have to walk a flight of stairs to get to the rooms and the small elevator (although there is accommodation for the handicapped)

Although the food choices are good. Maybe themed nights & pool snacks could be introduced

Been here one day good service,nice food ,in central location 100 yards from the beach can't complain for the price we have paid

3 pools and less than 100 sunbeds for the whole of the hotel which supposably has well over 100 rooms, only 1 bottle of water on arrival rest of the time buy your own, the hotel water tasted as though it had purification tablets in, food very hit and miss one night my sister and myself had fish in a sauce, both of which were not cooked in the middle, taken away by a very reluctant manager

My only circumstances are bottled water is not free. Toilets not on same level as pool especially with children. -1 floor for indoor pool could potentially have a sauna /steam room to enhance the experience

This is listed as a 5 star hotel, but is priced in the 3/4 star bracket - so please don’t be surprised that this is not 5 stars! That said - it’s a perfectly lovely hotel, and we had a great time! I would say that it is a 3 star hotel

It was very quiet when we went, so no waiting for food/ drinks at any point. Know Bar by the beach was great. Location is good; short drive from airport - 25 mins, just a one minute walk down to the beach

Booked as a replacement holiday and first time in Greece, can't fault it, great room overlooking the sea, well cleaned every day and excellent restaurant with good food every serving, staff couldn't do enough for us, please don't book this hotel if you have a health issue regarding walking or breathing issues this is due to location

Beautiful sea views and sunrise Wonderful room with perfect sea views and spectacular sunrise. 25 minute walk into the main town (Agios Nikolaos) and lovely taverna close to the hotel and on the beach

The point that we didn’t like that much was the bathroom in our room, a little bit small with a small cabin shower, no individual hygiene products such as shampoo or bathing gel and there was no much attention to the fact of refilling the products available

Facilities: A bit dated Cleanliness: Okay Environment: Beautiful with blue skies and white clouds Service: A bit slow, but generally friendly. Mostly white people, no discrimination against those with yellow skin.

Would def recommend for couples and families. The resort is in a steep incline so less suitable for people w mobility difficulties. Ag Nik is a surprisingly lovely town w great restaurants and shops near the lake

We were delighted w our room w its own private pool. Buffet food was super and easy to change for lunch instead of dinner. Staff were very polite and helpful. Facilities were clean and well maintained

As is typical in Greece, some of the area isn't so pretty, with derelict and unfinished buildings, especially if you go left along the seafront. We had a great holiday and would recommend!!

I had a shoulder impingement and I am now able to move my shoulder and arm so much better! My daughter had a relaxing massage by Ifigeneia and she found it amazing and extremely relaxing. We would highly recommend both!!

We stayed at this hotel for a week and we really enjoyed it despite a few issues. The room was not best part of the stay as it had many issues. We stayed in a swim up room in the new building and the room was very modern

Stayed for 1 week in this beautiful, clean well maintained hotel. We booked a swim up room which was absolutely glorious. We were very lucky as our room had the sun all day whereas the majority of others didn't

Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Entertainment was good, if you go to hotels and like to be Entertained. They spoke French, English and German the entertainers. Kids Entertainment and kids club

Fortunately, the swim up area was very nice with lots of space! We visited the hotel in October and the temperature of the pool was quite cold but we found a rooftop pool in a nearby building which was warmer

The room I booked was great, the bathroom was clean, and it had a balcony, but it was a bit noisy at night because it's near the road. Also, it's a bit far from the beach, so the sea view isn't great

Good location for going to Heraklion Bus station. I Don't understand the structure of shower room with bed. Hard to understand what make here five stars. But reasonable price at off season

The location couldn’t be better: just a short walk to the Heraklion Museum and local buses to Knossos, with a taxi station right across the street and the central bus station within walking distance, making it ideal for exploring the area

Breakfast was a real highlight, offering fresh food, fruit, yoghurt, and eggs cooked to your preference. On two early excursion days, the team kindly prepared generous lunch bags to keep us fuelled while out and about

There was a kettle and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast was excellent, served per person, and I couldn't finish it all. The coffee was the best I've had at breakfast in years

Great hotel! The view is absolutely breathtaking, the personnel is very kind from the receptionist to the cleaning staff, bartenders everybody! I see a lot of complaints that is on a hill, well yes but the view is absolutely amazing and the walk to the beach is short and not so challenging

Our stay at Hersonissos Village & Bungalow was truly wonderful. The food was excellent and plentiful – from a rich breakfast to delicious lunch and dinner

The all-inclusive package is fantastic, as you can enjoy food and drinks from morning until late at night without any worries

The rooms could benefit from a few small updates, such as replacing the older flooring and refreshing the bottom of the pool where the paint has faded, but this didn’t affect our stay Overall, everything was perfect, and we would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Crete

The locations is close to everything the only issue is the walk to and from town as there’s very little path and it’s quite a busy road, the hill is also quite steep to walk up but you wouldn’t get the beautiful views from the hotel if it wasn’t

The main pool is spacious, ranging from shallow to deep (0. 00 m) and about 15 meters long, which makes it perfect for both relaxing and swimming. In the past we also stayed at Abaton, which is part of the same group

I went to the spa and had a full body massage and facial I loved everything about these treatments, my facial was done by Antonis and it was great my skin felt so hydrated, and my body massage was done by Maria she’s fantastic!! I highly recommend going to the spa

Despite losing a couple of days to very poor weather, we had a wonderful stay. This is a small resort—just two restaurants and two bars—which initially made us a little unsure, as it’s the smallest we’ve ever stayed in

When the weather kept everyone indoors, the hotel handled it brilliantly. The lobby comfortably accommodated guests, and the staff were fantastic—constantly bringing drinks and clearing tables efficiently

However, this actually turned out to be one of its biggest strengths. The atmosphere is relaxed yet intimate, and every member of staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was a real highlight

We spent hours there playing cards, reading, and chatting, all while enjoying views of the pool and beach. One unexpected highlight was watching planes come in to land nearby

If anyone is actually reading this review, I would propose to place a sign that sunbeds can't be reserved. Not everyone is there at the same time. Another splution could be baskets for towels and personal belongings

The pools were renovated and look amazing!! There aren't enough sunbeds for everyone and many guests seem to "reserve" sunbeds by simply placing their towels on top for the whole day

Add a basket near each umbrella, if the sunbeds aren't occupied but there are towels and personal things on them, people can put them in the basket and use the sunbeds

Overall I would recommend the hotel and the whole experience. It is a very beautiful hotel, the beach was wonderful and so was the surrounding area

Put up a sign explaining the purpose of the baskets and that sunbeds cannot be reserved. The staff in the whole hotel was extremely friendly, understanding and competent

Cozy hotel in a huge area, beautiful garden with palm trees. Directly on the seafront promenade. 100 m from the wide sandy beach, from the center ca. 1500 meters away.

Breathe taking view in this out of the way resort. The rooms are very nice, we had a sea view making it spectacular. There is a main pool or a quiet section on the cliff side

The buffet for breakfast and or dinner was delicious. It is semi remote so a car rental or taxi service is needed

Luxurious but a little remote The resort feels luxurious esp the bar area and the pool. However, it is a bit remote and there’s nothing much around it

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable

We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning and loved the convenient location close to Venetian town

I guess it’s perfect for those who just want to enjoy the resort and not go anywhere

One particular evening, his favourite dessert was not on display and the chef asked if everything was alright, when I joked there was no jelly, he appeared with a few jellies for him

Outstanding customer service! Waiters and cleaners were also extremely attentive, the waiters joked with our daughter calling her 'Max' as she looked liked Max from Stranger Things and the cleaners always left our rooms spotless, leaving sweets on the pillow or displaying our pjs on the bed

They then went out of their way to ensure their was lots of variety of foods for him to choose from each always checking in with us each evening to ensure he was ok

Beach was small with paid sun-beds and umbrella, but last day we just stayed around pool where beds are free and went for few dips in the see from there. Inflatables are free to use and stacked by the pool

Victoria was fantastic, I've had many massages and she was by far the best

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff! All of the staff go above and beyond to please their hotel residents. My son has a nut allergy and the head server and chef went through all the food that were safe for him to eat

I recently stayed at the sister property, Domes Aulus Zante, and I have to say that the staff, location, and service exceeded all expectations here too. Definately you should visit.

We had an amazing time at the beach bar, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was Lambis. His name in Greek means “full of light,” and honestly, it couldn’t be more fitting—he absolutely shines

The beach bar itself is wonderful—the service is excellent, and all the staff behind the bar are friendly and attentive. But Lambis stands out in the most special way

Without a shadow of a doubt, Lambis deserves the award for the happiest person you’ll ever meet. His smile is constant, genuine, and comes straight from the heart

All the staff in the restaurants were also amazing, Georgie at breakfast and the lady who got my olive oil every morning! I cannot remember all the names but all staff were so good. The buggy guys were brilliant

The hotel should give guests complimentary late checkout especially when they are not so busy. The hotel is beautiful and the food did not fail during our half board stay

It is a ground floor room directly facing a fairly busy pedestrian street. Flip up blinds were closed the entire stay, so this room doesn’t truly offer even a peak view of the ocean, let alone a “dazzling blue sea view”

Really enjoyed all 3 pools, the nearby beach, and everything within walking distance! My room type should not have been listed as it is “ Dazzling Blue Sea View Outdoor Hot Tub”
