Mary Hotel & Mary Royal Suites in Rethymno

This hotel is what I always hope for but rarely get when going on holiday. A family run establishment which was modern, clean and very well run. Our room was well equipped and comfortable. The family could not do enough for us including moving us to a room on our last day so that we had somewhere to rest and shower before our flight. The location of the hotel is excellent just a short walk from the beach and with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars near by.

Wonderful welcoming hotel in a perfect location in that part of Crete. Very close to many tavernas, bars and shops also easy access to the main highway if you hire a car. The hotel has 2 reasonable sized pools with sun loungers plus a well-stocked bar with excellent barman. Our 1 bedroom apartment was incredibly spacious and although we didn’t cook there were enough utensils and pans if you wanted to. Overall cannot recommend highly enough and if we holiday there again will return to this hotel.

Staying at Mary Hotel was a pleasure from the start to the very end. Location is good, a 15 minutes drive to Rethymno city center but there are restaurants and shops around the hotel (the best was Sky Park restaurant just next to the hotel). The atmosphere, buildings, our room, the pools, the bar and the breakfast area, the lobby.. everything was perfect and perfectly clean. The staff is a harmony of great professionalism and sincerity at the same time, smiling everyday like a part of the family. There was cleaning service everyday for our room, beautiful Greek breakfast in the morning, recreational room (pool table & PS5), a big TV in the bar area where you can watch games while you sip your drink in the evening, weekly live performances music or dance.. I will not say 'it was like home' because it was better than home actually :)) The last day we met the owner and we were given a small parting gift, olive oil from their own olive groves. I cannot recommend enough.

We got back last week after a fantastic 10 night stay at this wonderful hotel. Perfect location for beach, restaurants, bars and shops. Although the hotel has a welcoming bar and seating area with occasional entertainment. Rooms were beautiful and exceptionally clean. Lovely breakfasts each morning with lots of choice and all beautifully fresh. Lovely pool areas without sunbed wars. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel and would definitely recommend to friends and family. Finally the people that make this hotel so special are the wonderful owners and staff. From George the barman, George, Joanna and the other lady on Reception and the laughs we had with Kostas. Not forgetting the lovely Mama and Papa. Love from Gary, Karen, Stephen and Suzanne x YAMAS!

We had an absolutely brilliant stay at the Mary Hotel & Mary Royal Suites and we will definitely be returning. Everything was as described by previous guests, but the standout aspects for us where: - great staff, especially George on reception who was a great resource for information and recommendations. - outstanding and original cocktails. - ideal and quiet location for Rethymno, the beach and a great selection of restaurants within a few minutes walk. - always plenty of sunbeds. - rooms were very clean and well appointed. Overall a fabulous hotel in a fabulous location.

We really enjoyed our stay in the split level suite. Spacious, clean and modern. The hotel is located close to the beach and restaurants and shops. Really peaceful and always plenty of loungers around the pool. Staff were very friendly and the pool side snacks also very good. Cocktails were exceptional. Would definitely recommend. Look forward to returning soon.

100% recommend it. Last night our flight from Heraklion was delayed and we couldn’t make it on time to our accommodation on the west side of the island. We passed by here and luckily there was one staff member still around at about 1AM who had the good news that there was one free bed for us. As mentioned the hotel is renovated and beautiful, and the entrance room is stunning. We had an extremely tasty breakfast and a great coffee with an orange juice. There is also parking just in front of the hotel. I can only recommend this place and will certainly stay here in our next visit to the island!🏝️ and since my name is Maria, I definitely felt like home at the Mary hotel!

One of the best places I’ve ever stayed. The room we stayed was modern and clean. They have two small pools. The beach is just 5 mins walk. The main road with restaurants and bars are also just 5 mins walk. The hotel service here is excellent. Friendliest people and what a lovely gesture to gift us a goodbye note and olive oil. Definitely coming here again. Thank you 💕

The loveliest hotel, amazing rooms and pool. Entertainment is amazing, the entertainment from Olga kostas and kostas are incredible, worth a visit just for that. Will definitely be back 🩷

Hotel had only 1 minus problem.
Some of the rooms were sharing the restaurant next door which was another property which is not a hotel problem but the restaurant was extremely Loud and they were partying till 12:00 at night
To be honest, the hotel had a really good sound isolation everywhere where a double glass but still the noise was so hard it was still passing by in its heart. If you relaxing all day and you want to sleep, you cannot especially if you're with the children but the hotel was very friendly. They wanted to change the room,
But overall, it's an amazing experience. Great hotel. I recommend 100%
By the way, hotel is two swimming pool inside for children and for adults, two different swimming pools and the restaurant is amazing Terrace
