Very comfortable bed, very good (big and silent) fride in the room, air conditioning was a gift in this hot sommer period. Friendly and helpful crew, in case of issue they were cooperative as well. Unfortunatley the smell in the bathroom is not every time the best, but it has to be accepted (long story with neighboors). Small parking opportunity, but you can figure out a place in the surrounding.

Set in a lovely quiet area but well walkable to the main areas. Lovely park close by and a great cafe/bar for meals and drinks within a short distance. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom a little tired looking but was exceptionally clean and towels/toiletries provided.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location is convenient, close to the bus stop. Check-in is only possible from 4 PM, which is a bit inconvenient, but they offered to leave our luggage there. Our room was clean, a little dated and rusty, but passable. They never cleaned the room or made the bed. We were infested with ants; we reported this to the staff, and they intervened with insecticide...

It's true that it's old and not cleaned well. It's an old building, so it's worn out. But this hotel has a unique atmosphere and is cool. It's a little far from the city center, but there's a bus stop within walking distance. (It's about 10 minutes.) If you just pay a little attention to cleaning, you'll forget about the oldness and have a great time. The hotel staff are all very kind.

The property is an old style large stone house that has been renovated. It has an easy going ambiance as it might have been in the 50s. The neighborhood is 50s style residential, but easy access to decent restaurant and great outdoor coffee shop. Easy access to bus, or 40 minute walk, over the bridge, to the very heart of the city. Service was fine enough, but no breakfast.

An average hotel, the rooms were clean but with ants, the Wi-Fi is of quite good quality, the hotel is in a good location, 10 minutes by car from the center, the price corresponds to the quality, there is a working air conditioner, but we got a damaged bed. I can't say anything about the service, since I almost never contacted it. Good for a 2 star hotel.

We chose this hotel for our one night stay during our trip to Germany. We did not encounter any disturbing situations. The price was ***et reasonable. The cleaning was very very good. ***et is suitable for accommodation during visits to Budapest.

Great location in the city center. Room are oldish with not good beds. Ceilings are so high 5 meters. Breakfast is midrange with not so good coffee. There is parking for guests.

An amazing place to stay in Szeged and in the Summer since the rooms have AC. It is next the Cinema and the major tram line and all the nice restaurants and major attractions including the Cinema which is 50metres away. The hotel had nice staff. One thing though, the Hungarian Breakfast is like no other - it is as brief as a Mini Skirt with limited options.

We had low expectations based on bad reviews. But got very good discount on booking and decided to give it a try. Hotel is absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure why it has so much bad reviews because it is average experience for Szeged. The "drunk" people you see in review are just kids going to club next door. There was no noise from the club at our room. Breakfast was very good again average for Szeged...

Generally, nice, clean, quite, cosy and good price. Polite and friendly service as well as centre location makes it excellent choice in hearth of the city. Nevertheless, sometimes student might make niosy and disturbing.

Great place! Stayed for the festival in 2024, and they went above and beyond for us. Very accommodating staff, nice breakfasts, and quiet area near the train station. On checkout day, we slept through two alarms and had to leave after the checkout time. They didn't make a fuss about it (even though they could have and would have been right) and even agreed to look after our luggage for like eight hours...

Ignoring the bad shower design that made the whole bathroom floor wet, everything was fantastic. The pool and the sauna are awesome. Cheap massages are also recommended

The hotel's best years are behind it and you can still feel the previous era here. A general renovation is recommended. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Food average and with little choice. Nice service, there is a swimming pool in the basement, a billard, darts, etc.

The staff is kind and professional, as well as the reception. The hotel and the rooms are decently equipped, they were very attentive to cleanliness. We also liked the huge pool. With all that said we overlooked the defects such as the lack of AC, thefrequent noises from the highway/comuting train and for the not so well performing wifi. It's a good place to stay in, the food was good, personal friendly and pretty much everything you can ask for. Only thing I disliked was collapsing WiFi.

This was my first every time staying at a hostel and I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable to would be. The beds are super comfortable and the toilets were always clean. Met plenty of people in the kitchen and location is really close to some famous bars. Highly recommend checking this place out over any party hostel.

Big fish hostel was my first experience living in a hostel, and honestly it was some of the best times ive had. Its a great option if you are solo and want to meet people to hang out with, or even if you are together with others. Staff were great and accommodating, 10/10 recommend.

It was a great stay, the staff was really nice and in the kitchen you could meet a lot of travellers from different countries. Facilities are clean and everybody can have his privacy. I really recommend.

This is the best hostel I have been so far. A friend and I stayed for two nights just after the reopening in July 2022. The rooms have very unique designs and the whole hostel seems like a giant apartment for same minded travelers. Through its size a very familiar space is created. Connecting with other people becomes easy especially through the big and well organised kitchen where everyone can sit...

The location is the only reason to stay here - very central but still quiet. The room itself wasn't great - v small for 4 of us, no mirror in bathroom (it was just left on the floor in the room), missing curtain, they don't even provide soap. I think this is supposed to be a very budget backpacker place - literally just a place to sleep.

Facility & staff were EXCELLENT, but.. The facility and the staff were great and excellent. But I had to put a lower rate because people in the next door were so loud throughout the night. I heard the screaming and banging noise constantly (fighting???), that scared me. Staffs are not at night on site, and I could not ask anybody to check them out.

The night will go. The hotel is located in a good location. Lived in room 412 on the 4th floor. Cleaned the room well every day. Breakfast is normal. Of the minuses - thin walls you can hear everything to sound like drunk German punks thump, yelling and carrying on. Very bad in the bathroom the water goes down and the room cold. Very bad heating!

The hotel is beautiful. The mens at the entrance are very friendly, they speak English. However, the people working in the restaurant barely understood the room number in English. A great hotel in terms of location, services, food, and the workers are very cooperative. The rooms are very clean. A suitable swimming pool and a view of natural scenery. It is very suitable for families and children. There is nothing to complain about.

Nice little hotel. We were there off season so there were no kids around so it was quiet. Plenty of food at breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. The room was a bit warm to us but nothing what an open window cannot fix.

The staff was very kind and gently. They solved all the problems we had immediately. We loved all the meat we got. We were more than satisfied with the service our dog got, because the hotel is absolutely pet friendly. Reccommend this accomodation to everyone who travels with his puppy.

It's really close to the lake and also has a pool, table tennis, kicker etc. The breakfast isn't something special, but the service is great and as soon as something runs out, they bring new food.

I came here with my son and wife to spend a weekend away from the city. I couldn't expect more from a 3 star hotel. (Summer price is a little bit higher than winter...expectable). Rooms are good. We found the hotel great, location is fantastic, close to the centre but in a quiet spot, 5 minutes from the beautiful town market and green bridge. At check-in, there was no disabled parking space available, and as a person with severe mobility impairments, we would have had to walk 36 steps or several hundred meters from the other parking area. The rooms are average, but OK on the whole. Food selection is quite limited, especially during the evenings, and there have been occasional quality issues (e.g. one evening the French fries seemed to be leftovers). They charge very hefty prices for all drinks. Infrasauna not working, the other saunas are OK. The pool is quite small.

I was here for a mathematical psychology seminar, and we were very well taken care of at Jogar Hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful, and quite relaxed about having 35 students in the hotel, playing in the game room until late evening. We felt welcomed and treated well as guests.
