I was looking for a hotel in front of the sea and near the city center, this is the best option for everyone!

We had a great time at Hotel Kristina in Imperia for the 2nd time.The staff is very nice and helpfull and the breakfast was great with cakes, croissants and fresh coffee etc. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was big (we had an oceanview room). We would book it again. It's very central and everything is walking distance. Please visit the restaurant Del Tempo Perduto which is close by!

We had a spacious room with Streetview. Comfortabel big bed. Excellent breakfast buffet with service. Many restaurants in walking distance. Nice things to see and do in the surroundings. Such as the olive oil farm. There was a market too. Place felt very safe during day and evening times. We walked everything. We also walked all the way to port Maurizio. Also there was a nice shopping area in the centre...

Fantastic location (across the road from the beach). Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel could probably do with a bit of modernising, but I would still highly recommend it as a place to stay now!

Nice view to the see ( not all rooms will have the view though). Closely located to market, small cafeterias and paid beaches and summer clubs. On the weekend loud music in the evening till 2-3 am is disturbing your sleep (if you are not a party type yourself). Not much to choose from for breakfast (no typical for the region salty breads like focaccia). Friendly service. Rooms are clean.

Family-run hotel just steps from the center. Small room (but we didn't mind), very clean, and we even had a beautiful terrace. Private parking for €10 per day, really convenient in Varazze! Fantastic breakfast: fresh fruit, cured meats, cheeses, eggs, delicious croissants, lots of cakes and pastries, and the best focaccia we've had in Varazze. What can I say... it's truly wonderful! I returned to this hotel for a short stay with my family. The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful; the premises are simple, but clean. With reference to food, a wide choice of dishes is guaranteed, genuine and well presented. We very much appreciated the strict compliance with the anti Covid19 prevention regulations.

It’s a nice hotel but it’s definitely not for the faint hearted it might have some flaws but if you see through the cracks it’s actually quite a nice place for a fair price.

The reason we don’t give it five stars for the room is because my wife says that the bathroom was small. I agree with her. But that is by our American standards. The service was excellent. The accommodation is not easy to reach by car (two way traffic on a steep way up/down the hill). The pool was not cleaned. Rooms were hot and airco was not working ideal. Superb location overlooking the sea; however, our room was also in the middle of the greenery. Spectacular swimming pool with sea view that makes you want to go down to the sea. Breakfast good and with a lot of variety between sweet and savory.

We stayed for a week in the seafront studio (with a splendid view, of course), and our expectations were more than met. The property was clean and comfortable, and the owners and staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Especially Mr. Egidio, with whom we shared life stories. The solarium is fantastic this season. Stayed here in April 2019 and had a great time! The staff is friendly and accommodating. They gave us a lot of suggestions for trips. The hotel is very pet friendly, we travelled with our dog. The location so close to the sea is amazing, the ocean view from our room was definitely worth it! There is also a nice sauna for the guests. We will visit again!

We stayed up the hill a little. We are here 2 nights. We came back for dinner the second night. Highlights for us were the Spaghetti with Seafood and the Fantasia Đi Mare. We had to use Google translate a little to order but the waiters did speak English. Great experiences, both nights.

We were only in the Restaurant, not the hotel. The resto is nice. Except they charged 12€ for Spaghetti and tomatoe sauce for our 2year-old (Not on the menue, which contains only small selection of seafood dishes).

Very nice place, we had a lovely time. The room was good but no real view as it was the first room up the road, make sure you get a sea view if that is what you want. It was a good hotel, nice dinner food and good pool, nice little beach. Rent kayak and paddle out to the little cave in the bay, it is very exciting!

Location is awesome and the staff is wonderful. Parking is challenging. You need a member of the staff to help enter the parking ramp. The air conditioning works for 10 minutes then stops until it’s turned on again. Brutal in the summer.

Pleasant stay at the Alexander Hotel Very nice traditional hotel with hard working, attentive staff. Wide choice at breakfast but always seemed a bit rushed. Lovely garden in which to enjoy a drink in the early summer sun. The only real negative was the bed’s mattress which was too soft and really needs to be replaced. Charming property in an elevated position above Santa Margherita Ligure. Stunning views and beautiful castle architecture make up for the rather uncomfortable beds.

This was a very cool property I’m very glad I chose it. The room while a little dated was clean and comfortable. It was a hike up to the property but worth it. There are other hotels with easier access to the city center, but the view from this property is amazing.

We stayed at the Hotel Vela for 1 night only ( july 2025) it was around 15 minute walk from the train station Santa Margherita Ligure. The hotel is beautiful and offers stunning views, yes it’s a bit of a climb to get there but worth it! Depending what room you get. Owners have a few. Ours was comfortable but was one room with ensuite only. Stairs. Be warned there are stairs and steep streets. Pack light for Italy.

We stayed in the superior apartment, the photos really don't do it justice. It is more spacious than it looks and brighter. This place is a good place to stay if you want to explore the Ligurian coast. We spent two nights and the stay was great. The location is perfect a short walk to the ferry and train station. Rooms were spacious. One thing, not related to hotel, is if you are there on a weekend make sure you make reservations for dinner.

We stayed one night, as we were passing through. We were kindly welcomed and given our room. Everything was tidy and clean. The next day we had breakfast there, where the owner took care of us and we chatted a bit. In our experience it was a great place.

We stayed at the Albergo for one week and our experience was okay. The location is really nice in the middle of the city with a lot of bars and restaurants. The hosts were very very nice and friendly. Sadly we didn't like our room. It was dark and hot inside and only had one window wich opened to an inner courtyard. We booked a last minute stay for one night at this inn. This property is a hidden gem ! The breakfast out on the lanai was perfect. The glass of wine to welcome us weary travelers was very much appreciated. The warm, friendly, accomodating, knowledgeable and kind host provided priceless advice to make our last day/night in La Spezia and visit to Cinque Terre a perfect experience.

The only bad thing about this place is the beds. They felt like they were made of stacked cardboard, but we were tired enough from our travels in Cinque Terre that is didn’t matter. The people running the place are very friendly and accommodating of requests. The walk from the hotel to the central train station is nice in the mornings. Definitely recommend!

Disappointing Contrary to the reviews I've seen online, the room is in a hotel, but it's not part of it... Furthermore, the room wasn't spotless. There was mold on all the joints in the shower room, the toilet flush didn't work very well, the toilet cover kept falling off... Holes were patched around the front door. In short, I won't be going back; it's a shame because the hotel is charming! Poor value...

Place located in the center of Sanremo, a stone's throw from the sea and shops. The place is inside a building, on the second floor and with an elevator. Inside we were welcomed by Giuseppe, the owner of the guest house, he was very kind to wait for us at 12:30 to leave us the key. Really nice room, cozy and above all clean! There is a mini-fridge, air conditioning, TV, a wardrobe with extra pillows...

The food in the Hotel Piccolo Lido is for me the very best of any restaurant I have been to in Northern Italy. This is why I have been there a dozen times in the last few years. I have tried many others and this place wins hands down. No question. Why? The food is magnificent and reasonably priced.
