We stayed for 5 nights in one of the two cabins and the place was perfect for a family of four. The stay started with excellent, informative messages and answers we received before arriving. We were picked up and dropped off at the station. The cabin itself was amazing, easily big enough for the four of us - two beds upstairs on a mezzanine and two bed downstairs, a living room with flat screen interactive...
Hosts were amazing breakfast was 10/10 everything about this place was an experience thank you guys untill next year.
Best location and hospitality you could ask for, the hosts will go above and beyond for the guests and the food is also spot on. Highly recommend
We had an exceptional stay at External Flame Ski Lodge and truly could not have asked for better hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of. Nao-san was outstanding and went above and beyond for us — even kindly picking us up on arrival, which made everything seamless and stress-free. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wonderful variety of high-quality, delicious...
We loved our 5-night stay at Eternal Flame. The hosts Nao and Kimmi are so helpful and kind, which we especially appreciated as first-time visitors to Japan. Their assistance with transportation, ski rentals, lift tickets, laundry, etc was a huge help! Our lodging in one of their private little cabins was warm, immaculate, and quiet. We enjoyed the on-site onsen, massage chairs, and comfortable...
The warm hospitality of Nao and Kimmi makes Eternal Flame feel like a home away from home, and the exquisite breakfasts have to be seen (and eaten) to be believed. Due to our arrival schedule, Nao kindly upgraded us to their new cabins just outside the main house, and they are nothing short of sensational. Based on the concept of Japanese minimalist design with every comfort imaginable, the 4 bed cabins...

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. I had a small accident, but the staff were amazing, they took me to the hospital and handled everything with care and professionalism. Their hospitality was outstanding. 10/10 experience!
The hotel is located a bit further out of town (15m walk) but has a wonderful shuttle that goes out of their way to get you where you want. All the reception staff were lovely and helped us with everything we needed. The gentlemen running the shuttle bus 25/01/2026 morning was really nice and took us to another bus terminal to avoid taxi fees
This place was great! It had incredible accommodations: shuttles, taxis, rentals. The front desk service was super friendly and super close to some amazing food. I had a great time and would recommend to anyone!
Excellent value for money. Friendly staff. Spacious family rooms with all amenities. Large restaurant with delicious food, buffet style for both breakfast and dinner (highly recommended). Traditional style public bath, which is a nice touch considering you have a (small) bath in the room. There is a shuttle bus to the slopes, or it’s 10min by car.
Love everything about this hotel. Awesome, super friendly and helpful staff, warm comfortable room, great breakfast, great location! Free laundry is a fantastic bonus. The Onsen (public hot bath) is the best way to relax after skiing. Ping pong, billiards, bar, parties, and free shuttles everywhere!! THANK YOU!! ARRIGATO!! Can’t wait to come back here!
Rooms were really big and spacious with good connectivity to ski resorts. Ski rentals we're available at lower costs. This hotel also offers Good range of breakfast options.

Actually didn’t went here but we requested for a cancellation twice and the hotel didn’t get back to us.
We really loved our stay here for 5 nights in February. Cozy, friendly and a super well organised set up for skiers and boarders (including arrival pick up and drop off from bus stop). We had a 6 person family traditional room for only 2 of us, so lots of space and the ability to sleep on doubled up futons, which was fine for us. Our western frames aren't made for easily getting up and down on the...
I had a great stay here. Location is great, less than 5 minutes from the Iwatake slopes. They have a ski-in/ski-out facility - a rear door leads to a snow-covered path that leads to the slopes. Tatami beds. Great onsen within the hotel, with indoor and a lovely outdoor bath. Staff are warm and helpful. Would stay again.
Fantastic location, 3 minute walk to Iwatake ski fields, rooms and facilities are clean and tidy, staff are phenomenal so friendly and accommodating 👌🏼
3 minutes walk to Iwatake gondola lift. On site dinners are delicious. Onsen is really nice. Facilities are a bit old but well maintained. Staffs are very friendly. Only downside is that there are not many restaurants around here.
The staff seemed to be mostly part-time foreigners; they were very friendly and had a strong service attitude. The facilities include a hot stone sauna and a private hot spring! It was very relaxing to rest and rejuvenate after skiing! Although the location is a bit inconvenient for those without a car, there are plenty of places to eat nearby, including a small cafe. I really liked it and would consider...

Great Breakfast! About 7 minute walk (With ski equipment) to the chairlift. Rooms were nice. Good Stay
A good value option: nice location and appearance, parking available and hot springs, friendly staff, and convenient access to Hachihochi Pond.
Every day, there were over ten bugs, each larger than a ¥500 coin, scurrying around the room! On the walls, curtains, mattress, countertop, and even in my luggage! I've stayed in over fifty hotels in Japan, and this is the only one I absolutely will not stay in again. Location: Every hotel in Hakuba is near a ski resort, so that's not a plus. The hotel has parking, and when I checked in, the staff...
The view in front of the hotel is very beautiful.
This place was great! The staff were exceptional and very friendly and fun. Rooms were great with everything you needed, and quite big with a separatetatami room, and the beds were comfy. I didn't try the onsen, but other guests said it was excellent. Great location near everything and about an 8 min walk to Happo One ski resort, and even less walk to Hakuba Valley bus near Nakayama slope. Breakfast...
So many 5 star things, so many 2 star things. The location is absolutely amazing, 10/5, the views are incredible and, since it is off the road, you don't hear snow plows! You can also just walk out the door to go to Happo-one! This place is definitely worth it. That said, electrical is sketchy, Wi-Fi is bad, beds are a bit hard, and the restaurant is just ok, but the breakfast is fantastic. Well worth...

Stayed here for 8 nights, the hotel staff are super friendly! The onsen is excellent and breakfast has a good variety, close to Iimori and hakuba 47 bus stop and short walk to the local Happo lift. Perfect spot. The only recommendation i would ha e for the hotel is to have a Room tvs that have access to streaming services such as netflix or phone projection connectivity. Amazing place to stay in Hakuba Happo area to snowboard. Our room was spacious and clean with a great view. Bathroom was a bit small but nothing out of the ordinary. I stayed there 15 years ago. Very nice and spacious indoor and outdoor onsen. Walking distance to ski resort and cable car. Beautiful mountain view in winter. I remember three strong impressions. Great breakfast and super comfy rooms. Staff and onsen were amazing
The rooms are lovely, we had views and lots of space for a family. The staff was fantastic and the food at the hotel was outstanding. Happy hour for 500Y was a very nice touch. We enjoyed our stay in Villa G but were disappointed in the lack of clarity of the location of the villa. We read all the print of the booking but apparently missed text on a photo stating that the villas were located far away from the hotel. Due to this location, we had a 30 minute walk to one shuttle bus and over a 45 minute walk to restaurants in Echoland, and the hotel provided no shuttle anywhere...
Stayed at Reposer Hakuba in Nagano and had a great experience. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious and a perfect start to the day. Would happily stay here again.
Reposer cabin cottage is a winter/summer house. There is a small natural stream right at the back, which is great. The cabin is a bit worn but it still has all it takes to provide a great accommodation. Location wise, you need a car in hakuba to move around anyway so the distance to anything is not to concern. Its a 5 min drive to everything. The service is hugely great. The staff is very helpful....

There is a pick-up service to the ski resort, which needs to be booked in advance. It is very convenient. It can also pick up and drop off at the bus station and other places. The service is very good. Breakfast and bar drinks also need to be confirmed in advance.

Due to tight schedule, I cancelled my plan to go to Baima. Shortly after placing the order, I negotiated with the hotel whether I could cancel it (there were still nearly three weeks before check-in), but the hotel refused to consider it. I stayed at the Berg-land Hotel in January 2024, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The hotel exudes quaint and cozy charm, and everything was spotlessly clean. A typical Japanese-style family hotel, small but exquisite, not many guests, but also very clean, private bathing, Western breakfast tasted OK. It is about a ten-minute walk from the bus terminal.
The breakfast was delicious - bread, fruit, yogurt, and galettes. It's true that the reviews are old, but I think it's sufficient for the price.
It's close to Hakuba Happo-one and just a five-minute drive from Hakuba Iwatake, making it a great location for ski season. Because we stayed during the off-season, there weren't many other guests and it was quiet. The water pressure in the shower in the large communal bath was a bit of a concern, but other than that, I was satisfied. ◎ The buckwheat galette at breakfast was especially delicious
This is a great location for accessing the mountains and enjoying the snow. There are both public and private onsens on site, the manager is lovely and helpful and the drying room for your winter equipment is also great. I have nothing but great memories :-)

Great place to stay for ski holidays in Hakuba!! Amazing services: walking distance from all shop, ski rental, Lawson, restaurant, bus terminal, and ski lift. Onsen is within walking distance, so are the restaurants, Lawson and you can also go for jogging. Thumbs...
Top spot for the nearby lift and luckily there is ski hire and a great pub nearby, not so good if you want to move around hakuba, as transport in hakuba valley is messy and difficult.
Great chalet located so near to so many things. Went there recently to cycle at Iwatake and it was a short ride from Wadano Woods to the bike park. The chalet could fit so many of us and it was a pleasant stay with many facilities such as a bath, laundry (wash and dryer), a fully functioning kitchen. Location wise it is near to Lawson as a convenient store and you can head out to town to get groceries...
We enjoyed our stay here very much but unfortunately there is very little ‘off piste’ connection with other guests & we believe that the cost of drinks from the bar are prohibitive for most guests. There is a delightful lounge but no one using it?? There were no vending machines for cold beer or an area you might even take your own super market bought drinks & share some conversations with...
Not only was the accommodation exceptionally beautiful, but the customer service offered by Hakuba Hotel Group was world class. By far the most accommodating and professional people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We will definitely be back (only for longer next time)!
Awesome chalet! Great for family groups. As depicted in pictures, modern facilities are all very clean, beds were comfortable and at a great location. Walking distance to restaurants, shops, and ski facilities, with ski gear, they have free shuttle vans that pick you up and drop off to ski lifts simply by booking on whatsapp page. Some of the best service I have experienced around the world. All...

Loved the private onsen. The ladies were so helpful and attentive in the hotel. We never ate dinner there as it’s a French restaurant and we wanted Japanese food. The breakfast was brought up to the room and consisted of fresh baked croissants and butter and jam and coffee. NOT a full breakfast.
wonderful bordering on magical what a lovely place. very pretty, great location. the service and staff there is wonderful bordering on magical. this was our first trip to Japan and we were so happy to have chosen hotel traumerie...
Coziest hotel I have stayed in my life.
The room is not small for Japan, it is clean and the view outside the window is beautiful. The service is friendly and there is a semi-open-air private hot spring. Although there is no scenery, it is still very comfortable to take a bath after skiing. The restaurant and bar are both very nice. I met the owner and had a pleasant half-day, half-English chat with him. The owner also treated me to many...

Room does not come with any amenities, asked the front desk host if they have any shampoo or shower gel, unfortunately they are only available in the public bathroom. The older reception man seems a bit unfriendly but the young man at the breakfast room was great.
The room was tiny, and the staff weren't very friendly, but we didn't need to interact much since we were there for skiing.
Convenient, clean, nice atmosphere, restaurants near the accommodation, good location.
It's OK. The location is a bit remote in summer.
Ideal location. The rooms in the main building have bathrooms. The rooms are large. The view outside the window is beautiful. There is wifi. Parking is convenient. However, the drying room does not have much drying effect. The room has heating. The hotel is actually very good in all aspects. High cost performance. You can choose to add some small purse breakfast. Because I went skiing early in the...
