Tokyo, 5 Chome-11-16 Shinjuku, Sindzyuku, 160-0022 Tokio, Yaponiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Everything is good. I can leave my luggage after check out and collect later. The drip coffee from hotel is nice!
Hotel has washing machine with dryer. Please ensure you have the coin of 100yen else need to change the coin at reception.
I can view which washing machine is available from TV.
However, the space of the hotel is quite limited. I have three luggages but I only can open 1 in once. ...
Lived for many times! And after the upgrading it will definitely be one of my choices next time
The location is super convenient, really close to Shinjuku-sanchome subway station. There's a Lawson just a few steps away, and you'll find Muji, Uniqlo, Isetan, and more nearby, making shopping a breeze. The room isn't huge, but it's well laid out – I had no problem opening a large suitcase. The self-service check-in and check-out machines downstairs are a great feature, and the staff also speak English
This hotel aligns with my expectations for a typical Japanese city hotel. The room was small, barely leaving enough space to open a large suitcase, but it was clean and quiet. The breakfast was a bit better than what I've had at Toyoko Inn previously. For the price, it's a great option. (P.S. The pictures are not related to this review)
The room was a bit small, but very clean. The subway station is right downstairs, and it's only about a 700-meter walk to Shinsaibashi. The size was really an issue though, I couldn't even open my suitcase properly. There's an Aeon supermarket downstairs, which is great for grabbing food.
The room decor felt really nice, very new and clean. Plus, the TV had screen mirroring, which was a first for me in Japan! However, it's a bit of a walk from Shinjuku Station, about ten minutes or so.

Overall the hotel is located at a strategic spot.
Great place for people who like to shop and hang out at Shibuya areas.
Very convenient as it is surrounded by many malls and shops, easy to get good around.
Only the room is quite small for, as you won’t have enough space to open all the luggages. You need to take turn to pack ur luggage and open ur luggage. Also u need to give way to people if...
Everything is within short walking distance in Shibuya. 10 seconds from Shibuya metro exit B2. Location unbeatable. Small room and small bathroom with tub. Aged but clean. Wifi good. No noise. Great for train spotting from window.
Good but little small for over 1.85cm
The hotel's location is right in the heart of Shibuya, close to the subway station, and there's a bus stop right outside, which is super convenient. The room was clean and tidy. Although there's a train line downstairs, the windows have sliding wooden panels specifically designed to block out noise, so it wasn't noisy at all. The lobby on the first floor offers complimentary toiletries, tea bags, and...
Fantastic location just a cross road away from Shibuya Station , and a hop and skip away from Hachiko statue and Shibuya crossing. We got in via Narita Express and dragged our luggage across the street to the hotel which was easy to find once you spot Bic Camera and McDonalds. Room was tiny but still very comfy and does the job if you wanted to be very close to the train station. Very quiet too so we...
The best hotel I have stayed in Tokyo! The location is a stone throw from Shibuya station, the room is amazingly big to open up 2 large luggages and 1 medium luggage at the same time, there is also complimentary snacks for hotel guests from 6.30pm to 10pm. The only downside seems to be there is no heater in the room for winter season (or maybe its just me that doesnt know how to operate 😆). I strongly...

Staff was very kind, the room was quaint but that was expected. Also it was very clean and they brought new towels and robes every day. 10 out of 10
Rooms are small, but that is the standard of Tokyo (one of the most populated cities in the world). Staff was very servicefull and helpful. Definitely would recommend staying here.
First of all the room sizes are small, not only in this hotel but all across japan. So its not really a minus but still it makes it hard to pack and store the luggages. The personel is really helpful, the cleaning crew were doing their job well. The location of this hotel is nice in terms of taking a subway its kinda central and quick to access anywhere, however do not expect to find any activities...
The room is small, but every basic nececities are there. And good information tips available in-roon for foreign tourists. Very well-thought hotel with good value!
Pretty good location, lovely clerk leant me a charger overnight, nice towels.

Value for money, especially hotels during spring are generally more expensive. Toyoko's price during spring is affordable. The free breakfast is decent.
About 10 mins walk to hotel from Ikebukuro station, not allowed to check in early, typical Japanese style hotel. Can open two 28 inches luggage still can walk, bathtub is clean!
This was my first time staying at a Toyoko Inn, and I had a pretty good experience. Although the room was simple, it felt very cozy, and they provided a full range of toiletries. The staff were patient and helpful; I even encountered a male front desk agent who spoke Chinese, which made me decide to sign up for their membership card right away.
The breakfast was basic but sufficient. I stayed for...
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station on the Yamanote Line. The surrounding area is incredibly convenient, with a Don Quijote not far away, a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven downstairs, and various Chinese restaurants nearby. It's really great. The hotel rooms aren't huge, but they meet basic needs. Plus, breakfast is included and it's pretty good.
My actual stay experience was pretty good. I encountered an auntie at the front desk who spoke Chinese, which was a relief because it was my first time in Japan and I was checking in alone, so I was a bit apprehensive. She helped me with the check-in process. I later realized that Toyoko Inn's check-in is super simple – you can do it completely self-service and contactless with just your passport and...
The front desk staff can speak Chinese, which was very convenient. The hotel environment is excellent and very clean. The location is also quite good, right near Ikebukuro Station, and there's a FamilyMart convenience store downstairs. Highly recommended! 🤲🏻

Not very soundproof room. Heard the people inn the hallway, and the wending machine. And the cars outside and people talking on the sidewalk. I had room on the 9th floor. One day the room cleaner wasnt finished even by 17:00 and i had to wait another hour. I usually only use APA hotels when visiting Japan but this one was a bit too far away from areas i usually visit.
Great location, quiet suburb with lots of shops and eateries. Close to 2 stations. Sumiyoshi station small but well connected. Rooms are standard size for Tokyo. Pizza restaurant on ground floor. Booked again.
Staff are very polite, building is not of the newer apa hotels BUT has bigger rooms. Service is very some days or you can request with the sign in the doors everyday they leave new towels and a few amenities. Shinjuku metro line is not far、like 3 blocks and you can be in akihabara or shinjuku very easily. Beds are fine, a little bigger thank usual apa too. Tv is like 43 inches. And finally the bath...
1. You can extend the check-out time until 11 AM only if you sign up for a special membership -> No explanation to foreigners, and check-out time is notified by 10 AM
2. Even though it was a long-term stay, they emptied the trash after 3 days -> No touch at all until then
3. It's an old hotel, so it's too cold and noisy -> I paid in cash, but it's a waste of money
Staff members are very polite. That's something I will always remember. Rooms get cleaned once every 4 days so you might end up with a lot of rubbish in your bins. Space in our room wasn't used the best as we had some empty and dead space. In general, it was really pleasant experience staying in this place.
Very nice hotel. Definitely recommend for short stay.

Good budget hotel. I only stayed here for one night, but it was perfect for what I needed. I specifically chose this hotel because of its convenient access to the Asakusa Line to Haneda Airport, and it turned out to be a great choice. The room and bed were small, but the bed was very comfortable. The bedroom wall had some scuff marks but the bed and bathroom was clean. Would recommend staying.
Very quiet hotel in Nihonbashi, next to the Asakusa Line and slightly off from Chuo JR and the Shinjuku Line. The hotel is clean and very quiet and imho it's a great choice if you know how to move around Tokyo. If you don't, it's maybe a bit inconvenient.
First of all, this hotel doesn't even have a laundry in the building. You have to go outaide of the hotel and find a coin laundry store, which is so inconvenient.
Secondly, the rooms are dirty. The walls are dirty, the shower curtain is dirty and stinks. The bedsheets aren't fresh smelling, and you can't even control the temp in this room.
The only thing is that this location is very convenient and...

Had a wonderful stay! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Highly recommend!
This is my first time feeling a hotel was truly worth it!
I stayed on the 16th floor, and the bathroom floor was so shaky it was scary.
I was amazed at how the bathroom floor on the 16th floor could be like this.
The facilities need maintenance.
The air conditioner never turned off, perhaps because it was located in the south-central area.
Fantastic hotel in a good location for the place, closeish to the subway. I had a tatami room which was perfect and bigger than the standard rooms. Great service and very clean. Would stay again.
The view was great and my 3 and 5 year old daughters were delighted. The rooms were also very clean and the children were able to stay there without worry.
There are few places to eat nearby, only a longan dumpling shop, which closes very early. The hotel has three restaurants, all of which close at 10 o'clock. There is a Family Mart, a convenience store opposite, and a 711 next to it. There are many people running behind it.

Spent 1 night at this hotel to visit Disney. Convenient shuttle to the Disney park. 10 minute walk to Aeon mall and train station into Tokyo.
The hotel provides a shuttle bus service to Disneyland and the subway station, which was really convenient for our trip to Disneyland the next day. The only slight inconvenience is that it's a bit of a walk, about 1.2 kilometers, from the subway station. However, the hotel's location around Tokyo Bay is quite peaceful, and you can even enjoy sea views.
Good value for money, but the location is so-so. The front desk staff were very helpful and patient, even though we had to use a phone translator to communicate. However, the breakfast restaurant staff were quite cold and unfriendly.
Found hair on the bed... very disappointing. Breakfast was pretty standard, wouldn't recommend paying extra for it. There's a free shuttle bus, but make sure to ask exactly where the bus stops for the hotel from Disneyland, otherwise, it's very easy to miss.
It’s great where they provide shuttle service to Disney and the train station. It helps a lot especially when you’re bringing luggage along with you from the train station.
Good choice for those who plan to go Tokyo Disneyland. Got shuttle service to Tokyo Disneyland n Disneysea as well

I stayed here for the Lady Gaga concert. The check-in process felt a bit unclear, and the staff weren't very enthusiastic. However, the location is quite good.
The room had a slight odor, and the bathroom had a bit of a smell, but the location was absolutely perfect.
The location of the hotel is great; it’s close to the metro and train station, as well as several bus stations . The hotel itself and the rooms are however a bit outdated. Staff is friendly, amenities are minimal, and no bottle(s) of water, nor any coffee/tea is provided, unless a member of the chain.
Fantastic location. Clean small rooms but perfect size for single and adequate for sleeping. Just across is Family Mart and one block behind Ginza Six shopping mall. Walking distance to Shinbashi & Ginza subway stations.
An older hotel with a good location. The entrance is quite small, so you'll need to pay attention to the map the first time you go. Even though it's small, it's very clean and not noisy.

A good chain hotel, no complaints. The room is cleaned daily, and the Japanese-European breakfast is decent. Convenient check-in with the self-checkin machine. Great location near subway and JR stations. You can also go straight to Akihabara for a stroll.
There are two stations nearby, making it easy to get around. This is definitely my go-to hotel from now on.
The hotel is very clean and suitable for single travelers. It has a convenient location with a convenience store nearby. The hotel offers free breakfast; the selection isn't extensive, but the taste is acceptable.
Nice hotel

I often see Toyoko Inns throughout Japan, but this was my first time staying at one. The room was very clean and included breakfast. It's about a 10-minute walk to Akihabara Electric Town. There are also subway lines nearby, making it very convenient to get to various attractions.

Nice large lobby with good selection at buffet .
It's a long-established hotel, and the check-in staff was very smooth. I wish the breakfast staff had a bit more dignity. It was a rare hotel these days, with a large number of Japanese people.
The hotel is overall old fashioned, although they are talking about SHOWA era. The key is not digital one. There is no in house landromat and it takaes about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, which is inconvenient. The variety of breakfast is o.k.. They should serve Japanese backwheat noodle instead of wheat noodle, which is healthier.

You book this place for convenience as the stations are close. For an APA , these are the smallest rooms ive ever been in. The staff are wonderful abd breakfast is also good
The room was very cozy, and the bed was larger than usual for a Japanese room, which I appreciated. It had a tea warmer, which was a godsend, a bidet, and a decent amount of channels, one of which showed Blade Runner in Japanese, the best way to watch the film.
My only complaint was that the bed only had a comforter and not a sheet, but the staff brought me one once I asked for it, so no complaints...
Just to get this out of the way, the hotel rooms are small if you're in a couple (a bit smaller than I expected). If you're solo, this space would be great.
The staff here is incredible and the location is amazing. Very close walk to Akasaka-Mitsuke station which can get you anywhere you need to go.
This area is less crowded than other places in Tokyo and the area near the hotel is full of great...
My then-boyfriend (now my husband) will never forget the horrid cigarette smell that enveloped the hallways and seeped into our room. The building in its entirety was outdated and this was when we stayed for two nights back in 2018. Hopefully it has changed.
Very small room but clean. Great location
For check in its take a time which is bad for us cuz we need to wait like a half and hour.
Good location, so many restraints and bars nearby. But this APA hotel is one of older models (bath room is dated, bed is not comfortable) and the room is really tiny. I really do like the large TV facing the bed, and the easy to use remote. They always have great movies and in English. Sometimes the price is a little too much, but if you book it far enough in advance, it won’t be.
First time ever staying at an APA Hotel and probably the last. Stayed here for 2 nights because of its location to Keikyu Kamata Station and Kamata Station and leaving for Haneda airport after that.

Nice and clean business hotel with a perfect location. However the rooms were the smallest among 3 business hotels we stayed in during our trip.
It's a decent budget hotel, but you have to pay attention to the bed size. Our bed was quite small for two, but overall it was comfortable. It was fairly clean, cleaned every three days. The carpet was a bit dirty. Everything else was fine.
The hotel is situated in a silent area, very nice for night walks. There are a lot of well-designed buildings, which are very nice to see and explore. The subway is quite convenient for a lot of Tokyo’s sights and locations.
I was glad that I couldn't hear any noise from the next room. The staff were very friendly and polite. I would like to use it again.
It was convenient and easy to access, and the area was safe so I could use it safely even at night.
Rooms are small but as we were not in it most of the time, it was worth the price. Service was good and rooms were kept pretty clean with amenities provided. Was located close to the train station with two different lines.
