Tokyo, 3 Chome-18-2 Kamata, Ota, 144-0052 Tokio, Yaponiya (15 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Nice hotel near the train station that allowed us to check in early!
Close to Keikyu-Kamata Station. The room was very nice. Good option to stay if you're flying out of Haneda airport. Had fun exploring Ota City my last night in Japan.
It's close to the station and has a large public bath, so you can relax after a long day of travel. There are many shopping streets and restaurants in front of the station, so it's very convenient. There's also a 7-Eleven across from the hotel, which is convenient.
The large public bath was clean, and I had a comfortable stay. I would definitely like to use it again.
Good SPA. Break first volumey.
Transportation is convenient. There are restaurants nearby and the large public bath is great. I'd like to use it again.

very convenient location but the hotel is a little small, struggle to open our luggage. but for this price, it is really worth it!
Very clean. Compact room is small but it is fine for 2 people with medium size luggage. Excellent location. Will stay here again.
The room was pretty small. Not much space to move around. Had to move things to open our suitcases.
This was our second time staying at this hotel. I didn’t notice last time but this time, the bathroom smelled like sewage… but I also noticed that it smells like sewage outside around the hotel.
Overall it’s an okay hotel if you’re looking for something basic. Nothing fancy.
I had a layover in Tokyo on a Saturday, and to my surprise, hotel prices were ridiculously high. So, I frantically scoured platforms, looking for a clean place with a good location. This hotel barely had any reviews, and hardly anyone on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media app) had written about it, but I decided to take a chance.
It was only 600 JPY for one night, located in the Hatchobori area,...
The room is exquisite, clean, and comfortable, perfect for one person! 👍

Tokyo, 3 Chome-5-14 Mejiro, Tosima, 171-0031 Tokio, Yaponiya (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Two-minute walk from Mejiro Station. The hotel lobby has a retro charm, and the front desk staff are very friendly, always greeting me when I pass by. The room had high ceilings and a separate air conditioner, though the heating was a bit weak. The bathroom was a three-piece split, but the toilet cubicle was enclosed and had a slight odor. Breakfast was included, but I didn't use the voucher and exchanged...
Few steps to train station (Yamanote Line). Service mind staff with free welcome drink. The room is not new but clean.
The hotel's location is excellent, right near Mejiro Station on the JR Yamanote Line. You just turn left after exiting the station and it's a short walk. I'm already thinking about staying here again if I come for Ayumi Hamasaki's New Year's Eve concert. The hotel I stayed at in Akasaka the previous two days was also close, but there was no subway service after the concert ended. The Yamanote Line...
Transportation:
Right outside the hotel, to the left, is the Shijo Horikawa bus stop, and Omiya Station is also nearby, with direct train access to Arashiyama (though I haven't taken it yet). Getting around anywhere is super convenient.
When I first arrived from Kyoto Station, there was a direct bus, which was very convenient.
Accommodation:
When I booked, single rooms were no longer available, so...
Tokyo hotel rooms are typically small, and this one felt a bit dated. The upside is its excellent location, very close to Mejiro Station on the Yamanote Line, which makes getting to Ikebukuro super convenient. They offer complimentary skincare products, but surprisingly, no free bottled water unless you sign up for their membership. It was just a quick overnight stay.
Hotel staff are friendly & helpful. Most of them can speak English smoothly. Great location as nearby train station.

Tokyo, 5 Chome-28-18 Kamata, Ota, 144-0052 Tokio, Yaponiya (15 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I had some sudden plans and booked it on the day. It was clean and comfortable. I'll definitely consider staying here again if I'm in the area.
The room is a bit tired in terms of renovations, but for one night before a flight, that's not a big deal.
Overall, everything is nice and clean.
The location is great: two stations are nearby—JR and Keikyu. There are two donkey shops, drug stores, a convenience store, even a Book Off, and so on.
And of course, it's a 20-minute direct flight to Haneda.
I stayed here because I had an early morning flight from Haneda. The hotel is located right between the Keikyu and JR lines, and since I used the JR Kamata line for shopping and dining, it was conveniently close to both.
The facilities are a little old, but overall I had a comfortable stay.
There was black mold where the water came out of the shower head, which was a bit of a concern in terms of...
Not only is it old and small, but it's also very expensive!
Facilities: Very clean
Sanitation: Clean
Environment: Good
Service: Good
Every time I go on a business trip, it is very good as a front station. The surrounding environment is lively and convenient for food and accommodation.

Location is great as it’s close to multiple train lines, can walk to the station to different directions. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Every time I come to Tokyo, I stay here. Although the rooms are small, they are clean and tidy. The only drawback is the 10 AM check-out.
Everything is perfect, and will definitely be my choice when I visit Tokyo next time.
The room size is small but it is known before booking. There is a small bath tub.
Glad that they provided drip coffee packets, teabags, toiletries and pajamas. They also have snacks.
Amazing views of Tokyo Tower! The hotel is close to multiple subway lines, making it very easy to get around. There are lots of dining options and a FamilyMart downstairs. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!
This hotel was an amazing experience! The hygiene was impeccable, the facilities were brand new, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. My friend and I had a super comfortable stay. Plus, its location in Hamamatsucho made getting around incredibly convenient. Highly recommended~

It’s a pet friendly hotel, which I love the most. Everyday can have the chance to meet up new babies. Staff are all friendly, very comfortable stay.
This was my first trip to Tokyo and my first hotel stay in Japan, and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were all incredibly kind and friendly. It's also a pet-friendly hotel, so you see lots of adorable dogs every day. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, making it super convenient for meals, and it's very close to the subway station. Coming from Narita, you barely need to change lines. Overall...
Everything is perfect..
Also love that this hotel is a pet friendly hotel
The room can only accommodate one large and one small suitcase open at the same time. The bathroom size is decent, not too cramped. This time, I brought an empty large suitcase, and luckily, there was a storage shelf in the room where I could put it. It's clear the hotel made a great effort to maximize storage space in a small area.
As a female solo traveller seeking shopping and safe travel, this hotel is my top choice. The rooms are spotless, quiet and spacious enough for a single person. The shower is over the bath and the water is strong and hot, perfect for winding down after a long day of walking. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the towels are changed and bins emptied daily. The whole room is serviced every three...
The hotel is conveniently located near JR Asakusabashi train and subway stations, providing easy access to key areas of Tokyo as well as direct transit options to Narita and Haneda airports.

staff are accommodating. Location is a great place, near asakusa station and tawaramachi station. I like the complimentary drinks and coffee.
Strategic location, good service by reception who spoke multilanguages, and the hotel kindly assist if you want to leave/store luggage temporarily while you do shopping before check in or after checkout.
I've stayed at this hotel many times when visiting Tokyo. It's really convenient for transportation, and this time I even got a room facing the street with a view of the Tokyo Skytree!
Japanese lady receptionist has a bad attitude, she seems like she hate her job. Kettle is full of dust. Humidifier not provided in the room.
The room was a bit old, and the bathroom facilities were quite dated. The walls of the room were dirty and showed their age. However, the location was very convenient, with a FamilyMart downstairs, and the service attitude was good.
The hotel's location is excellent; the subway is right outside, making it convenient to go anywhere. It's only a 10-minute walk to Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon. There's a FamilyMart downstairs, and plenty of dining options nearby. The only downsides are the small room, especially the bathroom, and some outdated facilities.

Location was perfect, walking distance from all malls in ginza and couple of subway stations. Room was a bit small, but we knew that it's typical situation for hotels in Japan. Breakfast was not something we expected (just 4 types of soup) so we only tried it once during our 5 nights stay unfortunately.
This is an extremely convenient location that is nicely sandwiched between Hamamatsucho and Shimbashi stations -- meaning easy access to central Tokyo and Haneda airports. Rooms are very clean and bed was comfortable. I will use again if I need to be in the area.
First of all i want to say thank you to the girl on trainee, I didn’t have the chance to get her name but i would like to say thank you for helping me out finding a hotel because i landed a day earlier. The location is great!!! Shinbashi Station, Daimon Station, and Hamamatsucho Station are all within a 10-minute walk. There's a Family Mart just a minute away, so it's easy to shop around for convenience stores. The room is small, but it's okay if you just want to sleep! I'd love to stay here again next time~~
I travel a lot for business. I dislike cookie cutter multinational chains. This location of APA Hotel in Shimbashi is an excellent property. The rooms are typical Japanese sized which is perfect after a long day at work. Well laid out with a desk space to work. The bed was comfortable. I will definitely return!

A Hidden Gem That Exceeds Expectations
This hotel is an absolute hidden gem. The location alone is unbeatable—perfectly situated for exploring the city, yet tucked away just enough to offer peace and quiet. Good location, cleanliness and room was decently big but a little dated. Breakfast did not have that many options, only 4 hot buffet items with 1 being fish, 1 egg and then others mystery.
Located near the side gate of Sensoji, so the main attractions of Asakusa are right at the hotel's doorstep.
Front desk staff, especially the lady, are so friendly. The custodians are understanding and meticulous too.

Generally good hotel, but a bit of a walk from the station (10-15 mins). The only other issue is there's only one elevator, and the lobby is on the second floor so can be quite a wait for the elevator at times. Only stayed for one night but would recommend. Somewhat close to Tokyo station. Checkin and checkout are done via kiosk which was very easy. There is a staff member if you have issues. Room was small but roomier than others I’ve used in Japan. Nice shower. Bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay again if I need to be in the area.
Let's start with the positives:
1. Close to the subway station.
2. There's a convenience store and a drug store nearby. There's also a grilled fish set meal restaurant that's great for breakfast; I often go there. The My Basket supermarket across the street isn't great though – limited selection and high prices.
3. The cherry blossoms at the entrance are beautiful.
Now for the negatives:
1. The...
The room was a bit small, but the facilities were clean and I liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate! The young female staff at the front desk was a bit unfriendly, but overall, I'm very satisfied for this price point!
A very pleasant stay! It would be even better if the smoking room had a chair. As a solo traveler, my cigarette is my companion, haha. The hotel's hygiene is excellent.
Great location with convenient access to two different subway stations, both within walking distance. It's a nice, quiet spot at night, yet still close to the action. For Tokyo, the room and bathroom are quite spacious, especially for the price. Very satisfied!

I stayed for several nights, but it was a very ordinary business hotel. The breakfast was quite expensive, even for Tokyo.
Even though it's an economy hotel, it's incredibly well-equipped! They have everything you could possibly need. The staff are also great! Definitely recommend it! The only downside is the air conditioning isn't very cold, but that's a common issue in Japanese hotels.
The hotel was very clean and my kids loved it so much they wanted to extend our check-out to stay longer! Breakfast was also incredibly rich and varied, which made everyone very happy. The hotel itself was very quiet 🤫
The room was a bit small; it's fine for two people, but a bit cramped for two adults and one child. Everything else was great. The hotel location is quite convenient, and the staff are very enthusiastic.
The room is relatively small, and we need to spread out our suitcases at the door, but the staff is very friendly and patiently waited for us to communicate in Japanese using a translator. When we checked out, they took the initiative to ask us if we needed to store our luggage. Thank you very much☺

Conveniently located near Nippori Station, perfect for arrivals and departures from Narita Airport. The hotel's hot spring bath is wonderfully relaxing. After dropping off our luggage early, the staff kindly brought it up to our room for us when we checked in.
Very good and new. Onsen is a plus and the location is perfect for skyliner early morning train to Narita. Take 3 minutes to reach station
Nice and clean hotel located near Nippori station with Onsen in the hotel. This is the 2nd times we stayed in this hotel. Suggest that the hotel do provide clear instructions for first time guests staying in this hotel to walk from Nippori station to the hotel. The room facilities are very new, and the transportation is very convenient. The Skyliner goes directly to Narita. I recommend getting off at the North Exit because there's an elevator. The hotel is new and very clean, and the price is reasonable. For a Japanese economy hotel, the room size is decent; you can easily open large suitcases and still have room to move around. The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located for getting around. The bathhouse downstairs is great and definitely recommended. They even gave us two drink tokens at check-in, which we could use for free drinks from the vending machine.
The room was larger than expected, with enough space to fully open a 28-inch suitcase, and the layout was well-proportioned. Plus, it has a large public bath, which is a great option for those who enjoy soaking. It's also very close to both the subway and JR stations, making transportation convenient.
The A4 exit of the subway station is the closest. Breakfast is consistently good, and there are restaurants, convenience stores, and Senso-ji Temple nearby. If you're visiting Tokyo, this is a great choice.
A few minutes' walk from Asakusabashi JR station and metro station but note there are stairs to navigate. Hotel's bath was a main draw and I did not use the room bath at all. Generally courteous staff.

We booked two rooms for four people, and I've already reviewed the other one. The oden at breakfast smelled off, and the strawberry milkshake was sour. I won't go into more detail, but this hotel is definitely one to avoid.
The room itself was fine, but the hotel breakfast wasn't just bad, it was inedible. The oden (Japanese stew) at breakfast smelled rotten – who knows how many days it had been sitting there. And the 'spring limited strawberry milkshake'? It was okay on my first day, but by the third morning, it was completely spoiled, fizzy and tasting like alcohol. Seriously a rip-off. The hotel's location is great, close to Ikebukuro. However, the air conditioning in the room was too hot, and I couldn't seem to adjust the temperature properly. The hotel breakfast was also too simple.
For this price and condition, it's a pretty good deal in Ikebukuro. It's a ten-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby to suit all budgets. The room size is decent, and the bathroom isn't too small. It's a good option for business travel, especially the twin room with breakfast for two at around 600 RMB.
I’m very surprised with the price of this hotel, given that it is during the new year period. The service is good, the location is top notch if you are an anime fan. Strong may recommend for travelers.

Compact but spotless. If you’re a couple with two large suitcases each, space will feel tight — unless you cleverly slide them under the bed (yes, there’s space). The bathroom is reminiscent of an airplane lavatory, but with a petite bathtub that gives it just a touch more generosity.

The bigger rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Lobby shared area and free drinks are a really nice touch. But better staff training should be done. Checkin took more than 30 mins because the staff didn’t even know how to operate the system on the computer.
Stayed here for a few nights and the location is really nice and close to Skytree, skytree mall, and train station. There was everyday cleaning which was so nice having fresh towels and empty trash bins. Free refreshments in the lobby with coffee and snacks, coin laundry machines, and they hold luggage for 24 hrs. Friendly staff, and the rooftop view of the city and skytree is beautiful. Rooms are...
We stayed one night at the double bed room. It feels much more spacious than its actual size. They have a nice lounge at the lobby where they provide free snacks and soft drinks. The rooftop view of sky tree is very stunning. However, the bed is a little too firm and I couldn’t have a good sleep here
Very nice “industrial” style hotel located near the Skytree and Oshiage station. Rooms were well designed and laid out. Ours had a large shower but no bath. Room was spacious (by Tokyo's standards), the staff were abundant, lovely, and very helpful. Great selection of tea and coffee. Very conveniently located in Oshiage which has lots of cute restaurants, the sky-tree, and close transportation.
