APA Hotel Akihabara Ekikita, Tokyo1 / 27
8.5
Tokyo, 1-29-2 Taito (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
I spent a long time in the lobby because the staff was awkward at using the check-in machines. It would be better if they spoke better English or let people use the machines themselves.
A very good hotel with a comfy bed let down by central climate control making the room too hot (23-34C).
My wife and I stayed there; the room was up to Japanese standards, conveniently located near the metro station, and the hotel staff were very helpful.
Great location, tidy room, facilities are ok
Nice hotel close to where it all happens
There was a mini convenience store, which was nice. Breakfast was also great, as it came with a ticket to a cafe near Akihabara Station.

Tokyo, 7-12-11, Ueno, Taitou-ku (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Great location, convenient for traveling by train and metro surrounding by many attractive places. I do recommend this hotel.
The check in service was excellent and front desk staff very friendly and professional. The room was a bit small but had a kettle and fridge. Bed was very comfortable and big screen TV was above the bed. Breakfast was very nice with ample small dishes and coffee. Had a very pleasant stay highly recommended.
Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, though it's a bit of a walk from the train station. It's close to food options, the room was clean, and the staff were very attentive.
Room is compact with all necessary features. Relatively modern, very clean, tidy and well organised. A flat walk from UENO station, in a direction that is away from all the hustles and bustles of Ameyoko that keeps it comparatively quiet. Sound-proofing is average. Can still hear people walking on the corridor and neighbour talking if they are on the loud side. I like the udon served for breakfast
Clean room and closed to Ueno station, simple breakfast. We are enjoy to stay here.
The location is about 500 metres from Ueno station. The staff are friendly and I always use APA Hotel and fir me it's a good hotel.

Tokyo, 2-17-12 Nishi Gotanda (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Very near to the Gotanda station, which can access to airport within 30 minutes
Great location and area that can be animated while staying calm at night (supermarket, convenience store, restaurant and bars, bookoff and mitsukyo and Uniqlo) Complete amenities, room are small but manageable, kept clean however there was a persistent smell overall even after spraying half a bottle of febreze like. If you are picky it can be challenging, there could be other room less smelly
Clean room. Walking distance to both Gotanda Metro and JR line. Convenience mart and supermarket right just around the corner of the hotel.
Location is good. Small local grocery store near by. Room is clean. Services at front desk are professional. It only cleans the room after 3 consecutive nights but will give you clean towel every day. However the checkin time is 15:00 and checkout time is 10:00. It won’t allow you to check in early for free even if they have room. And hotel wants you to pay 1100 yen per hour even if you request to...
The cleanliness, service, and facilities were all very good. The location is also incredibly convenient, being very close to JR Gotanda.
location is convenient and can walk 5-7 mins to train station or metro station. The price is extremely good and clean.

The location was absolutely perfect!
The location and value for money were good for a short stay. Check-in took a long time, which I think is an issue. Members can check in by machine, but considering the need to accommodate guests from overseas, this needs to be improved.
Considering the location, it's good value for money, but it's too narrow and small.
good price for location, has all the basics that you need, small room, but nothing out of the ordinary for inner tokyo, would stay again
Breakfast was really poor considering it was only 1700 yen...
Too hot and too cold. AC can’t change cooling and heating by itself. The room is very noisy at night like machine running sounds. The room is too small for couples.

Facilities: The soundproofing in the room wasn't great. The people next door were making a lot of noise; I even thought they were knocking on my door. Cleanliness: This was excellent, very clean. Environment: The hotel is in a quiet spot despite being in a lively area. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, plus a popular photo spot. It's just a short walk from Exit 5 of Kojimachi...
Excellent hotel, breakfast had plenty of choice and was quite tasty compared to most other hotels. Amenities in abundance available on ground floor and your room has everything else that you need. Bed was fantastic. No complaints from me.
Good location for people who like quiet and nice areas. Easy check-in and polite staff. The room was very small, hard to open your luggage on the floor. For the price i was expecting amenities like coffee or a bottle of water but nothing in the room. A bit expensive considering what you get.
The hotel location is a little bit remote from the subway. The room are very cozy and clean. The oldest manager at the front desk is a little bit rude. The rest of the staff is really helfull
Good value hotel in a convenient location. It’s close to the metro, the price is reasonable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. On the downside, the facilities feel quite old, the room was really small, and cleanliness could be improved—especially the floors and curtains.
Location has a little far from train station . It use about 10 minute for walking to JR station . But room is clean and very good service .

Tokyo, 1-8-5 Kaminarimon (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
walking distance to pretty much everything in Asakusa. really good value of money for its location. Clean room good for solo traveller. Family Mart and restaurants close by.
I had a really nice day and delightfully. I was upgraded to a ocean view room. The staff were always friendly and the room was clean and well equipped. It’s in a great location for the beach as well as not far from the café Street which is linked by an Oceanside path that is even well lit at night. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in this area of Jeju.
The location is great, right outside the subway station. However, the room is really small, and the bathroom floor and bathtub are a bit slippery, so be careful not to fall. The air conditioning is quite loud, and there's always other noise at night. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're a light sleeper.
The hotel is conveniently located in Asakusa, close to the subway station, and you can even see the Skytree from your room. The room was small but very clean. The convenience store nearby was super handy. Breakfast was okay, with both a Chinese and a Japanese option, though the taste was just average.
The room is ok, a bit small but still big compared to with other hotels. The location is good, it is very near to Asakusa and alot of shop. MRT station also very near. They served very good breakfast. They also served beer at the lobby everyday from 4pm to 7pm.
The location is fantastic for Asakusa and very near to most attractions like Sensoji temple, shopping and food options. The train station, tawaramachi, is nearest to the hotel. Hotel staff are very helpful and booked taxis for my family for our transfers checkout. They speak good English. Umbrellas are easily accessible from the front desk as the weather is highly unpredictable. Housekeeping and...

I've stayed there twice. It's still a very ecperince during my stay. Convienient location, close to JR station.
Just a 2-minute walk from JR Okachimachi and multiple subway lines, making it easy to reach anywhere in Tokyo. Lots of shop, shopping mall street food nearby. Very convenient to stay there and feel safe even going out at night. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small but it’s fine, bed is comfy

The access is great. The Yamanote Line and Tokyo Metro Tozai Line are nearby. There are four convenience stores nearby, and the town is nice and quiet. After checking in, I pressed the elevator, but it never came. It goes to the floor I want to go to and back. I usually have to wait 7 or 8 minutes. Just when I thought it had arrived, it dinged. Just when I thought someone was going to get in, it was...
Good position and a lot of amenities, but that's pretty much it. During the night the room is actually a sauna, incredibly hot and no way to lower the temperatures even with the lowest ones selected. The hotel is a bit far from the subway station, but overall it is highly recommended for its great value for money. Foreign guests can enjoy a free breakfast at no extra charge. The staff have a very good service attitude, and early check-in is often available. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and some of the facilities are a bit dated, but its location is a huge plus, not far from the subway station. The hotel is in a perfect location, very close to the subway and convenient stores. The room was clean and had everything I needed, but it was quite small and not ideal for large luggage. Check-in is mostly self-service, which may not suit everyone. Still, for the price and location, it’s a solid option.
The room was clean and the front desk staff were very kind.
Budget friendly and best location. If u need walking access or near to any famous attractions this not it. But this area give a almost the best vibe of Japanese. U will see local around a lot going and back from work/school, can go to hanging out at the park if u feels need a bit relaxing. Extremely cost effective. Paid under $40/night. 7-eleven is a couple of streets over. Best part is that AC unit can be cooled or heated to whatever you want (something that APA seems to avoid doing). Rooms are not the best, building looks dated. Otherwise would stay again. Not sure it deserves the 3.6 star score currently
Location is near the Ayase station but the station itself is far from the city centre. But considering the hotel rates, it is acceptable. Hotel staff are non chalant and strict about check in time. Hotel feels old and cleanliness is just ok.
This was my first time staying at Ayase Ekimae Hotel. The convenience was that it was easy to get to the station, only about 5-8 minutes. I also liked the fact that I could relax in an atmosphere where I could go back to my own apartment. The only inconvenience was that breakfast was not served on site, so I left without eating it. The staff were all very kind and helpful. I'd like to use this service again when I visit Tokyo.
The facilities are excellent; they have everything you could possibly need. The Japanese staff are also very polite, and the place is spotless. I highly recommend staying here.
Thank you so much for your kind explanation, even though I arrived after 3 AM. My room was a smoking room, so the wallpaper was yellowed, which made me a little scared, but I had a comfortable stay. 🍀︎✨ Other than the wallpaper, everything else was great. I'd love to stay here again.
The service is very good. The front desk staff are very polite and patient. There are staff who speak Mandarin. It is very close to the subway Ruijiang Station. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. It is very clean and tidy. They will help you clean the room every day.
There is a tram station right outside the door, and the surrounding shopping district is complete. However, the facilities are old, the toilet seat has no heating function, the faucet needs to be manually adjusted for hot and cold water, and the sound insulation is not good.

Everything is very good except that the A/C is a central unit type, so I could not adjust the temperature. The window cannot be opened even a little bit. Therefore, it ended up being too hot on some nights.
The hotel's location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro's East Exit. From Ikebukuro, it's very convenient to reach popular attractions like Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Sensoji Temple. Japanese hotel rooms are generally a bit small, but I was able to open my large suitcase comfortably. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and I had a great stay!
The air conditioning in the room seemed to have an issue; it was constantly set at 15 degrees Celsius, which was quite cold. I had to wear a thick thermal shirt even in winter. However, I didn't bother asking for help because of the language barrier. The value for money was quite good, though. It's hard to find a triple room for around 1000 yen, including tax. There's a shower, but no bathtub. All...
The biggest advantage of this hotel is its good location. It is very close to Ikebukuro station. The staff were kind, and the hotel room was a bit small but very cozy. The only disappointing thing was that there was no closet, so there wasn't enough space to store clothes.
What a bizarre design! I bumped into it every time I passed by.
I booked an 18-square-meter room, so it didn't feel cramped for two people, and we could easily open two suitcases. The transportation is super convenient, with many stores my child loves nearby. There's also a 7-Eleven right across the street downstairs, which is very handy. Highly recommend!
