A regular Tokyo hotel I would say based on size and room amenities, except that its very close to a metro station that is on the same line as the keisei express to the airport. So you can get there in a pretty short amoutn of time from the airport without even taking the skyliner. this to me is a big plus. Right at the Roppongi subway exit, which is super convenient. I usually choose Fresa Inn when I go to Japan because of their great locations. The elevators are pretty slow though, you have to wait a while. There aren't any gashapon or claw machine arcades around Roppongi at night, which is a bit boring.

We juststayed at the Sunlight Hotel Shinjuku and really enjoyed the location. While the room is small, it was my wife and me in the room. It worked out, we just had to put our suitcase 2 large and 2 small under the bed.
