Hotel Grand Hill Ichigaya, Tokyo1 / 16
8.9
Tokyo, 4-1 Honmura-cho, Ichigaya (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The rooms in the West Wing are a bit small and basic, but clean!
Great location, very clean, and the staff were wonderful. It was a really lovely hotel. I'll definitely be staying here again next time!
Coming for a concert at the National Stadium, it's super convenient, just two or three subway stops away, about a 20-minute ride.
I stayed here for a New Year's Eve event. When I was leaving, the staff told me to 'have fun!' The next morning, I mentioned wanting to go for a walk, and they kindly explained the area on a map for me. My only complaints were that the shower pressure in the bathroom wasn't great, and I noticed what looked like a crack in one spot of the bathtub. Despite that, I'd still consider staying here again...
Hotel rooms are a little bit out of age. The rest including the restaurant are very good.

Hotel Monterey Akasaka, Tokyo1 / 25
9.0
Tokyo, 4-9-24 Akasaka (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is very well located, max 10 minutes walk from the Akasaka Metro station. Overall a good choice for families, rooms are big enough for Tokyo standards. Bed is comfortable and rooms are very quiet. The hotel is not the most modern, hence the 4 stars. Staff is very helpful, speaks English as well as being very attentive, good job! I would consider re-booking here :)
I stayed at this hotel for just under a week. While it’s relatively affordable, in hindsight I think I would have enjoyed my stay in Tokyo a bit more if I had chosen a slightly nicer hotel. The location is excellent, with a well-connected subway station about a 10-minute walk away. The walk itself is also very convenient, with several (24/7) supermarkets, restaurants, and coffee shops along the way...
I had a pleasant 4-night stay at this hotel. The lobby has a classic atmosphere, and I really enjoyed the music that played there and in the hallways. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The amenities provided both in the room and in the lobby were very useful and convenient. Drip coffee in room was good. There is also a unique hair dryer! For the first couple of nights I was quite...
Excellent! Comfortable and quiet with warm, friendly service. Room service was also great. We had two rooms for 8 consecutive nights, and they were arranged perfectly, exactly as requested.
The Monterey Hotel is definitely worth a stay! It consistently delivers on quality and elegance. Having stayed here multiple times, stepping into the hotel always feels like coming home. The facilities are very well-maintained, and the cleanliness is excellent. All the amenities, including toiletries, skincare products, water, and beverages, are fully stocked, and there's even a capsule coffee machine...
Good hotel overall. Nice location, walking distance to metro. Not much space but that’s normal in Tokyo. Bathroom was impeccable. Would recommend!

Tokyo, 3-1-15 Ariake, Koto-ku (9 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Nice and clean.. very accessible to odaiba. The front desk staff is kind😊
Good old hotel. Staffs are helpful. Plenty of parking space for 1,500 yen/night
Visiting Tokyo with the whole family and decided to book in the bayside area near disneyland. Although, we did start off with a few misunderstanding on the first day, the overall experience was more than what we expected. We had an unforgettable experience in Tokyo and in part was due to the hotel we stayed in. Great! Thanks!
Quite a fancy place but be sure you understand the location before you choose. It’s far from anything. Even the station and convenience stores are far. The local train is slow and expensive. But the hotel itself is upscale and the staff are great. Room is small but elegant with an unusually large bathtub (for Tokyo) which was a bonus.
The hotel room was clean and there were several facilities available. It was comfortable staying there, but be aware that it is quite far away from popular neighborhoods like Shinjuku and Shibuya, which takes around 40 minutes to get there by public transportation. On the other hand, it is rather close to TeamLab Planets and there are convenience stores and some restaurants nearby.
My boyfriend and I came to Tokyo for a 2 night 3 day stay, and we are nothing but impressed. For starters the hotel restaurant was open when we arrived and we were able to order dinner. It was so good! He got the beef ramen and I had the lobster pasta. Our plates were clean by the time we were done eating. Not a crumb of food left. They had an appetizer buffet which was also so tasty! The hotel room...

Great location, just a minute from the subway station and a short walk to Nihonbashi. The surrounding restaurants are excellent, and it's generally quiet. My only complaint is that the room facing inward looked onto an air shaft, which was quite noisy.
It snowed that day and was truly beautiful.
I booked a twin room and had a great night's sleep. My smaller suitcase fit perfectly on the sofa, and there was plenty of space for larger luggage on the floor or even on the bed. The breakfast was delicious, with a Western-style spread. What truly stood out was the professionalism, attentiveness, and excellent service from every single staff member. The hotel's location is also very convenient for...
Lovely hotel, very kind and helpful staff. Rooms may be small, but perfectly designed.
There is a luggage storage service. A coffee shop is located on the first floor which provide breakfast for jpy600 with good quality. However, you need to travel two stops from Tokyo Station.
It was pretty good; if I were to visit again, I'd stay here. It's affordable, clean, convenient for getting around, and easy to get supplies. The room is quite small, perfectly fine for one person, but it would definitely be a squeeze for two. The bathroom step is quite high, which might be inconvenient for elderly people with mobility issues. There are many great eateries nearby, including a fantastic...

Fantastic view. Able to view two different angle which we stay in the corner unit.
We stay 8 nights here. Even it's abit far from Asakusa station, but it's a good walk for us even with a luggage. The staffs there are friendly and helpful. My room is a twin bedroom, it's considered enough space for two of us. There's water dispenser and ice maker at 3 different floors. We enjoy the Rooftop view too!! Love it so much! If we visit Asakusa next time, we will definitely stay here again...
The hotelroom is much spacious than expected. Location may not be the most ideal. walking to Ginza or Asasuka train station takes around 15-20mins. The hotel offering access to the roof is a plus.
Location -1 as around 10-15 min walk to Asakusa train station BUT considered very near to Sensoji and +100 points as food location as there are many food options being in Asakusa area. Less than 5 min walk away to Lawson. Very clean and especially spacious room for a hotel located in Tokyo. Can open up wide two luggage bag in the room and in room walkway is ample. Bathroom considered spacious too...
I recently stayed at the Kanzashi Asakusa with my family for 3 nights stayed and had a generally positive experience. Most aspects of the hotel were very satisfactory, including the overall atmosphere and service. However, I did encounter one minor issue regarding the in-room climate control. Tokyo, 7-12-9 Ueno, Taito-ku (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Near Ueno Station. Fine room sizes in Tokyo for a twin's room. Facilities are easily accessible in the first level. Clean and tidy.
The hotel is clean and tidy, probably converted from apartments. The room itself is decent. It's located near an elevated road, so you might hear traffic noise at night. If you're a light sleeper, ask the front desk for a quieter room. Downstairs, there's a self-service coffee machine, ice, hot water, and cold water available. It's a bit of a walk from Ueno Station, about ten minutes or so if you...
I stayed at this hotel for an auction. It's conveniently located and offers great value for money. It was clean and tidy. The room was in a renovated old building, and overall, I was satisfied; the price was reasonable. **Facilities:** Okay, had everything I needed. **Cleanliness:** Met expectations. **Environment:** The environment was fine, just like an apartment. **Service:** They generally...
Quick a long walk from the train station, otherwise everything is good.
The hotel is a renovation of an old building, and the rooms are extremely small. It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Ueno Station's Iriya Exit. There aren't many restaurants around the hotel. The main entrance faces the Shuto Expressway, but luckily, the front desk assigned me a room that faced away from it. The washing machine costs 400 yen per use.
Nice place to stay.. Quite a walk from Ueno Station.

Pros: 1. Room Can fit 2 large luggage 2. Cleans daily for more than 1 night stay 3. 400-700meters from different stations 4. Relatively quiet neighborhood 5. Has free sweets in the afternoon Cons: 1. Breakfast is not worth it. 2. No free toothbrush and toothpaste 3. Elevators are closed in late mornings
The room was quite spacious for Japan, I could fully open my suitcase. The breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. They offer luggage storage, and the hotel is in a quiet area surrounded by offices. The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get to all the tourist spots.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel staff are super friendly, and I'll definitely come back again next time I visit Tokyo. ありがとう。:)
Excellent in every way! The environment is great, and the facilities are top-notch – highly recommended! The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was outstanding. The staff were all incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. Plus, the location is fantastic.
A little small, but really nice staff and a very cozy library on the ground floor. Convenient location, near heaps of stations and a short walk to Akihabara. A bit of an odd smell from the bathroom but nothing too bad. Would stay again!
The location is super convenient, just a few subway stops from Ginza. The room is small, but that's normal for Tokyo, and it was very clean. The facilities are excellent, and there's free coffee and tea available all day.

About a 10-minute walk from Akihabara Station, this hotel is nestled in a quiet neighborhood just off a busy main road, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. The room is clean and tidy, a triple room suitable for family stays. The location is convenient and easy to find. There are many restaurants nearby. I would choose this hotel again next time.
Good location. Lay out of room comfortable for travelers. Good security.
The triple room is spacious in Tokyo standard. Also the free coffee is amazing! Location is great too!
There was plenty of space to open my suitcase, and the bathroom was more spacious than others, with the toilet and shower separated, which was great. Even though I don't speak Japanese and had to rely on a translation app, the staff were very kind and helpful, making my trip enjoyable. Hotel was great, was easily walkable from famous attractions. Staff was so nice, they let you store the luggage there after you checked out and even has a luggage scale at the lobby. Hotel room was small as expected from hotels in Japan but was clean and had everything we needed for two.
The room is good. The locations nice. We can walk to donkidonki
Service charges for calling Taxi 500 yen pay to hotel
Let's talk about breakfast. As someone who can't miss breakfast, I was very satisfied. But even more than the breakfast itself, what first struck me was the highly organized management of the buffet, which once again showcased Japan's deeply ingrained procedural culture. The restaurant is a small area on the first floor, next to the reception desk. Breakfast is served at 7 AM on weekdays and 7:30 AM...

you pay what you get. sounds proof very poor. suggesting top up your budget to upgrade better hotel
Excellent location! Clean, hygienic, and great service! It's very convenient to get to Shinjuku, and you can quickly reach the station for other destinations too. Definitely great value for money!
Great location. But very very small room. Clean and friendly other than the size was good.  You can barely fit a suitcase in next to the bed
It's quite a long walk from the subway station, the room type is a bit old-fashioned, and there's no complimentary room cleaning service. You might want to think twice before booking.
We juststayed at the Sunlight Hotel Shinjuku and really enjoyed the location. While the room is small, it was my wife and me in the room. It worked out, we just had to put our suitcase 2 large and 2 small under the bed. Overall, while that was annoying, we really spent more time outside of the hotel and enjoyed the closeness to so many places and Shinjuku Station. I would book there again.

Stayed here a few times now, it's great.
I've always loved this hotel, the location is great. It's very convenient to get anywhere from the subway station, and it's also easy to get to the airport. However, this time the hygiene felt a bit lacking.
5kins walk from Tamachi station, near a lot convenience store and supermarket. Near a mall with lots of food options. Bonus: a street with full of Sakura, breakfast with a view as well.
solid location with decent size rooms. comfortable bed and nice food around the area.

Tokyo, Takanawa 4-7-6, Minato-ku (7 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was nice and quite spacious, especially the bathroom and shower. It's very convenient, with food and convenience stores right outside, and close to the JR station.
Looking for Family near the hotel, we went up and down hills, passing by apartment buildings with luxury cars parked outside – seems like we've landed in a pretty upscale neighborhood. I can imagine Shinagawa must have once been a hillside overlooking Edo's waterfront.
Close to Shinagawa station. Nice facility and staff. Bed is comfortable and you can definitely have a good sleep after a long day visit in Tokyo
The room was nice and very clean. The only downside was the uphill walk every day, which was a bit tiring. The service was okay, nothing unpleasant to report. I recommend taking the Asakusa Line and getting off at Takanawa for easier access.
Facilities: The hotel is quite old, so the toilet and bathtub clearly show their age. However, you can tell they've made some thoughtful renovations (e.g., sockets by the bed, a recessed shelf for items, a horizontal shelf above the toilet paper holder for phones, etc.) which is very considerate. Once you reach the FamilyMart convenience store and turn, you'll see the hotel's logo right above the FamilyMart. The location is fantastic! The Yurikamome Line is right downstairs, and it's only a 10-minute walk to Hamamatsucho Station, which is perfect for catching an early flight from Haneda the next day. You can also easily visit Ginza and Odaiba. During the self-check-in process, you can choose a room with a sea view, but I recommend picking a floor above the 6th to avoid the noise from the train tracks.
This hotel is incredibly convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk from Hamamatsucho Station, making it super easy to get to Haneda Airport or take the JR line to other attractions. Great lil hotel. Great staff, some of them know English, some don't. Either way you can get any sort of help you need especially if you have a phone and are seeing this message. Also good price for the location and to get your own full sized bed. It's a 5 min walk from the main street in the Akihabara district. Also 5-10 mins to 2 other train stations.
Very clean. Big and comfy bed. Nice facilities. Amenities are better quality than usual. The room is small (mine was 11 sq.m.) but I think it's normal for business hotels. I only had a backpack so it was fine, but if you have big suitcases you might struggle a bit. So make sure to check the room size thoroughly.
Being walking a short walk from both Ochanomizu station and Akihabara station was really nice. Honestly wish I had stayed longer. I just wished there were more TV channels available on their TV for the late night anime cravings.
HVAC is weird. Restaurant is small. The storms about shifting your schedule were right breakfast is a busy affair. Area is fun and it was worth the price. But you may sacrifice sleep.
I stayed in 3 cities in Japan and everywhere is APA Hotel. Incredibly stylish lobbies, friendly staff and great facilities. If I come to Japan again, I will only prefer APA Hotels this time. The location is very good and there is constant room cleaning. Since the laundry is small, you can choose the laundry that is open 24 hours nearby. APA is the best 👌🏻
Its Apa, its decent. Stayed 5 nights 6 days it was within expectations. Breakfast was ok too. 2 things: 1. the bed is worn out, tilting to one side (there was 1 chair, so that side of the bed would be where another would sit down. 2. The bidet looked spotty dirty when i took a side glance. I didn't verify it coz that would make me puke.

Very good and interesting location and the great view of the city
Had a fantastic stay! The hotel is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The absolute best part is the location—it's right in the heart of everything and made exploring so easy. Highly recommend if you want to be close to the action!
This area is less crowded, with a couple of malls nearby like Parco and Termina, so food and basic amenities are easily accessible. I really like that the room and bathroom are more spacious than usual. I could fully open my two large suitcases and still have space to move around. There’s also a humidifier in the room, which helps a lot with the dry air. We book a 2 single bed room and it fits perfectly...
