APA Hotel Ueno Ekimae, Tokyo1 / 23
8.8
Tokyo, 2-18-7 Higashiueno, Tayto, 110-0015 Tokio, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Parking: Free parking
The hotel was nice and precisely located near Ueno stations and Ueno Okachimaci stations. The only downfall is not the size but the hygienist of the room. Upon check in I found several hair (woman hair) on the bed.
The hotel facilities are comprehensive, including a self-service laundry room and a pantry. They even thoughtfully provided a luggage scale. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic and even gave us small gifts
Standard squeeze for Tokyo hotel room but there was a sign which tells me to tuck my luggage under the bed. Location is superb, 5 mins to Keisei Ueno station / JR Ueno station with luggage. Value for momey.
The hotel's location is pretty good, close to Ueno and other subway stations. However, the entrance is a bit hard to find; the red front door is automatic, and I didn't even realize you could just walk in
There are plenty restaurants to explore behind the hotel, and there’s AEON small grocery nearby too. The hotel staffs are very helpful, they helped us arrange luggage transportation to the next hotel
The room had everything I needed such as an iron, hair dryer, and even a hair iron! Super convenient. The hotel also has a lounge where they serve free drinks — a great touch!

Tokyo, 1-6-2 Osaki, Shinagawa-ku (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Parking: Free parking
The hotel is practically right next to JR Osaki Station's exhibition hall, just a few minutes' walk away, making transportation incredibly convenient. You can directly reach Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Akihabara
The room was spacious and cleaned daily. The breakfast was a rich spread of both American and Japanese options
The location is super convenient; you can access Osaki Station directly from the lobby via a connecting walkway. Right outside the hotel, there's a Lawson, Burger King, a NewCity supermarket, and various dining spots
It's an older hotel, decent and reliable, with breakfast included. There's a direct connection to the subway station right outside, which is super convenient
The hotel enjoys an excellent location next to Osaki Station, with direct access to Life Supermarket, a drugstore, Daiso, and various eateries, making it very convenient for travellers
There was a moment of slight confusion when I was politely reminded regarding mobile phone use while speaking softly, whereas nearby guests speaking louder were not reminded

Some more, it is also 10minutes walking distance to tokyo station, which mean that you could walk to tokyo station and take the airport bus, instead of trying to fight to get on train to tokyo station
The hotel is right next to the subway line, but the soundproofing and blackout curtains are excellent.
The hotel's location is excellent, with many subway lines nearby, making it super convenient for getting around. The surrounding Muromachi district is fantastic, perfect for a leisurely stroll and exploring
Hotel was located about 600m from Tokyo Station and was to the left of the Central exit
Room was a bit small and the bathroom especially the shower area in the long bath was at a height and quite unsafe when leaving it especially for seniors like me and have to be very careful cause there are no support bars
Check-in is too late at 3 PM, and check-out is too early at 10 AM. The location is good, a 5-minute walk from the South Exit of JR Kanda Station – make sure to locate the South Exit carefully once you're on the platform

8.5
Tokyo, 2-4-6, Komagata, Taitou-ku (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel was close to the subway exit and there were restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so it was very convenient. The large public bath was on the top floor and had a great view.
It was a shame that the front desk couldn't lend me a charger before I left.
There are many places with close locations so it's a mistake to check in 😊
It was a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.
Good service staff very nice 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
When I went to Japan near Asakusa, I often stayed at APA. The rooms were small, but I got used to it. It was clean and the location was good! I think it would be good for those who are traveling once to visit.

Parking: Free parking
The hotel was a good and comfortable place to stay, even though it was a bit squeezy to open up our luggages. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay, no matter how short it was. The staff were extremely helpful
The hotel is conveniently located near a metro station and offers a shuttle bus service to Disneyland (though you need to book early as seats fill up quickly). The breakfast selection is excellent
Beside the hotel there is Daiso , uniqlo , GU and there are a few malls walking distance. Mrt is just a ~ 5 min walk There is a coin laundry nearby, you can get the map from the counter
There are also many restaurants around the hotel, and it's only a 5-minute walk to Kinshicho subway station. It was a great experience, and I'll definitely stay here again next time
The hotel has been recently renovated, the service is excellent, and the dinner was also quite good. It's reasonably priced and in a great location!
The room was clean and tidy, and the location was excellent. The Tokyo Skytree is right across from the hotel's entrance

There are fewer Tokyo hotels that include an onsen but this is one of the few that do, and it was amazing as well - both an indoor and outdoor onsen. Luggage storage available both before and after check-in/out
If you are here because you want to be next to the diet building or the prime Minister's residence, this is the perfect hotel. However a lot of restaurants and convenience stores are much further away
The location is very convenient, right in the city center and close to the metro. The room is small, but clean and cozy. It has everything you need, including a yukata and all the toiletries
This is hands down my favorite hotel to stay at when I’m in Tokyo. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the train station, which makes exploring the city so easy
There isn't too much in the immediate area but is situated in the middle between most the major landmarks - Shibuya, Ginza etc. Did not try the hotel breakfast but it is offered
APA Hotel Pride is always located near stations, and this time I stayed in front of the National Diet Building. ✨ I arrived early, but they were able to store my luggage for me

A business hotel close to the subway station. Breakfast on the first floor is delicious. Using sauna of B1 is a good way to relieve fatigue. The room is really small, so it is difficult for 2 people to use it
This is a typical chain business hotel. I usually stay elsewhere in Shinjuku, but it was fully booked. This hotel and my usual one are both about a 10-minute walk from the station
They were very helpful when I needed to store my luggage, and they even gave me directions to my destination, which was a huge help! I'd love to stay here again!
It's a straightforward and convenient walk from Shinjuku Station/Lumine Est. The hotel itself is like any business hotel – everything is typically Japanese: fast, efficient, and tidy
My back hurts because the bed is old. There are many restaurants and convenience stores near the subway. Unexpectedly, there are many Western tourists
By the way, I really liked the detailed information available on the TV here; you can browse everything in the background

We stayed in a King bed room for 4 nights which was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for our luggage. We were on floor 34 and elevators fast, we had a great view and could see Mt Fuji on our last morning
Great location, and the airport shuttle was super convenient! I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in Shinjuku. The service and cleanliness were also very good
The rooms on the higher floors offer great views, perfect for seeing the city lights twinkling at night. Plus, there's an Alexa smart assistant in the room that you can connect to via Bluetooth
Breakfast was just okay, with a limited selection, but the facilities were comprehensive. Plus, there's a convenience store right downstairs
The hotel lobby is on the 20th floor, and you can access a pedestrian bridge from the 2nd floor to walk to Takashimaya or Harajuku Station. Honestly, it's incredibly convenient! I'd definitely stay here again
Even if there isn't a direct bus to the hotel itself, you can easily take one to Shinjuku Bus Terminal and reach the hotel with just a 5-minute walk – super convenient! Check-in is on the 20th floor, and there's a 7-Eleven on the ground floor

It’s a huge relief to return to the hotel from the train station after a long day of walking knowing it’s just at the across the street from the train stations, not just the JR line but other lines as well all in the vicinity
The only inconvenience was parking; we had to park in another commercial center's lot at a discounted rate, which was a 7-8 minute walk back to the hotel
The location is absolutely fantastic, right next to Akihabara Station, making it super convenient to get there with luggage in just a few minutes – perfect for first-time visitors to Tokyo
While the room wasn't huge, it was well-designed, clean, and tidy, with enough space for my luggage. The soundproofing was also better than I expected, allowing me to sleep soundly
The front desk staff were very professional, and communication in English was no problem; both check-in and check-out went smoothly
Transportation is convenient and fast, with direct buses to all airports and all transportation stations within ten minutes.

Excellent service, great accomodations. They even give you a phone with unlimited internet access and calling to use during your stay. Rooms were bigger than we expected. Everything was nice and clean
I booked the room with Tokyo Tower view, so this is the view from our room. The location is nice but a bit far from the station. There are many convenience store and supermarket around the hotel
Inside the room, there's a large sofa bed, perfect for extra luggage or belongings. You can easily fit two or three suitcases without feeling cramped. The view from the window in my room was also lovely
The location is great! We were within walking distance of 3 different train stations! The room was big, we had a couch which was nice. The front desk staff were welcoming, attentive and warm
The cleaning staff were very attentive, punctual and helpful - I hope they can get recognition for their efforts! We had an amazing view of Tokyo Tower
The room is quite spacious for Tokyo standards; we could manage to open two large suitcases. The location is about an 8-10 minute walk from the subway station

Our room was enough, we had a comfortable stay and the space was just right for us and we can still open our luggages. Restroom were very clean and not like the old yellow plastic material you see in old hotels
I usually stay near godzilla street but I like the location of this since it’s quiet but still in Shinjuku. Would definitely stay here again
Cozy room, fresh towels, water, tea and coffee every day. Close enough to Shinjuku station, a park and the light show nearby.
The room is small but clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The bread are fresh and yummy.
We loved this hotel! Across the street from a large park and subway station. Walked to SHINJUKU for shopping and restaurants. Hotel had a great bar and bakery for food. Rooms were larger for the price we paid
Hotel lobby was superb!! They have a bakery and a restaurant/bar. They also have a vinyl playing when you come in

DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake, Tokyo1 / 23High rating

Tokyo, 3-7-3 Ariake (9 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is conveniently located near Ariake Station on the Yurikamome Line, making transportation easy. The room was clean and tidy, but felt a bit small. The Western-style breakfast buffet offered a decent selection
The transportation is super convenient, with a subway station right downstairs, making it easy to get to nearby malls. For a family of two adults and two children, the room size and price are quite good for Japan
We stayed for five nights and went at different times, but on three of those days, we encountered a queue. If you're in a hurry, you might want to factor in some extra time
The main reason we chose this location is that we needed to visit both the city center and Tokyo Disney, and this spot perfectly balances both
Had a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Rinkai Line, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, especially to Disney
I stayed here for a conference, and it was quite busy, mostly with business travelers. The subway station is right downstairs, and it's within walking distance to the Big Sight exhibition center

Really nice location. Few minutes away from 銀座. Didn’t try their breakfast. But there are a lot of restaurants near by. Walking distance to 築地 as well .
The only minor drawback is that the room felt a bit too small; I think a hotel at this price point should offer more spacious rooms
The best part of the hotel is its lobby, which sits at the 16th floor of the building. The lobby provides a great view of Ginza's city skyline and a clear view of the Tokyo Tower
I love this hotel!!! Can enjoy “Tokyo Tower” from Bathroom! Impressed by the brand of the hair dryer!! Everything is awesome !
The room isn't huge, but the cleanliness and view are top-notch. Even the tricky corners of the bathroom were spotless. The pajamas were super comfy, I wish I could buy them to take home but they're not for sale
The hotel's location is excellent, and transportation is very convenient. The decor and facilities are all new, and you can even see the Ginza night view. The hotel's cleanliness is also top-notch

Tokyo, 1-2-24 Yokoami, Sumida-ku (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room isn't huge, but it's well-equipped. The price was quite reasonable, especially considering it was close to New Year's. The hotel is right across from the train station, making transportation super convenient
My favorite hotel in Tokyo. Good price for a simple stay. Nothing special but overall very good. Love their bathrooms classic short and deep tubs.
It's only one stop away from Akihabara, and even when I came back late at night, there were 24-hour chain restaurants nearby for food
A business hotel located in front of the station. The room size, bathroom, and everything else were just right and comfortable.
Everything was great, but it's a bit too close to the subway, and the 'morning call' (from the subway) was a fixed feature.
It's an older and very basic hotel. It's ok just to stay a night with a comfortable bed and a hot shower but don't expect for anything else extra. I can't even find a garbage can inside the room

I noticed the hairdryer was a bit dirty while washing my hair, but a quick call to the front desk got it replaced very promptly. I recommend the yakiniku restaurant directly across the street from the hotel
You won't have to worry about food or drinks staying here. The Asakusa Line downstairs goes straight to Narita Airport (if you're not good with transfers, just allow two hours for the trip)
The front desk had staff who spoke Chinese, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was excellent; you could walk to the entire Ginza shopping district
There's a popular ramen place nearby that wasn't very good, but a Yakiniku restaurant called Jojoen (not the one on the Mitsukoshi building) was incredibly delicious
The location is fantastic, super convenient for shopping in Ginza, with a subway exit right outside the hotel
I would definitely choose Mitsui Garden again next time I visit

The pagoda-view room I booked was absolutely breathtaking! The in-room dining was also delicious. I was completely satisfied with everything and would definitely come back again!
Facilities: Very new, I really like the minimalist style. Hygiene: Very clean, the bathtub was very comfortable for a soak. Environment: The environment is excellent
The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety for an à la carte hotel. The valet parking, housekeeping, and front office restaurant service were all excellent

The room is big and clean. We had a comfortable stay. Breakfast is good too. There are free bus services to Disney and to the train station. There are also free bus services to Tokyo downtown. Value for money 👍
Facilities: It's a new hotel, very clean, and the room is spacious. Hygiene: Very clean, both inside and out. Environment: The sea is right outside the window 🌊, and the sunset is absolutely stunning 🌇
Service: Excellent, no preferential treatment for foreigners at all
Its 10 min to the metro, but its about 25 min to Disneysea, because the shuttle stops at the metro and Disneyland first. Although apparently it also takes 25 min by taxi, according to the staff? Not sure
It was ok, too expensive though. I got the family room, the room was big, but the bathroom especially the sink area was cramped, especially for how much the room cost
Microwave all the way down in the lobby/foyer, that was annoying. There's a free shuttle bus to/from Shin-Uryasu metro, and also to Disneyland/sea

However, the staff were very friendly. The room was the smallest I've stayed in during my visits to Tokyo, and a bit older, but they did provide fresh towels and cleaning every day, which was a nice touch
The room was small, but given the cheap price, it's pretty good for a city like Tokyo where space is at a premium. It's super convenient with a convenience store and a subway station right downstairs
The hotel's location is very convenient, with multiple subway lines nearby. We stayed during peak season, so there were a lot of people everywhere – the lobby and breakfast area were really crowded
Quite old but space is big enough. There is breakfast included with that price is generous.
There's a convenience store downstairs, and it's not far from various subway exits, making it super convenient for getting around

The breakfast was also very good with a nice variety and high quality. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay. I would happily stay here again
The room, while small, was incredibly clean, and the amenity kit even included a cleanser and skincare set. The front desk staff were also very nice

For the return trip, it's a short walk or you can take the U-line. We were upgraded to a room on the 22nd floor with a beautiful view. The room isn't old at all, and personally, I think it's better than the Hilton
First time in Japan, and I booked the hotel myself – it was a fantastic experience! Firstly, the location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around. Secondly, the hotel service is impeccable
A very satisfying hotel overall. While the transportation isn't the most convenient, they offer a shuttle bus to the JR station three times an hour, which we used daily and found quite convenient
Ambiance: Very old-school elegant, the bedding is super comfortable, and I really loved the bathroom mirror – it's perfect for photos! Service: Absolutely on point!!!!
The rooms were very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely professional and welcoming throughout the stay. Check-in was smooth, and everyone was very helpful whenever I had questions
