I was quite disappointed with this booking made via Trip.com. I specifically booked a Deluxe Japanese Western style room with an outdoor hot bath, as the outdoor hot bath was a key reason for choosing this room.
Upon check-in, I discovered that there was no outdoor hot bath, and I was informed that the room I had booked was not available. Initially, I was told that I had booked a room that did not...
Overall, it was fantastic! The only slight disappointment was that the soup served with dinner was lukewarm. On the bright side, I was really happy that both bathhouses had a shampoo bar! ( *´꒳`*)
I booked a corner room to enjoy the Nagasaki city view, and it was absolutely stunning—honestly the highlight of my stay. The staff were very friendly, and there were team members who specifically assisted international guests and spoke excellent English. If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy a panoramic view of Nagasaki, and soak in an onsen, this is definitely the hotel to stay at.
It's located on a pretty steep hill, and there isn't much commercial activity around. You'll need to take a bus to get into the city center. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, conveniently named after the hotel itself. Make sure you get off at that stop; getting off even one or two stops earlier will mean a steep climb.
It's not far from the summit of Mount Inasa, and there's a direct bus...
I stayed here before the Sky Jamboree. I was shown to a room on the 8th floor, the night view was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were very helpful.
I booked this place only for one night but it was totally worth it, and I immediately regretted my past decision of booking this place only for 1 day…
It was perfect place for calm-wellness kind of fam-trip with its spas(located in each bldgs!), delicious dinner(pre-booking is a must, i presume?) and breakfast!
Inasayama(MT.Inasa) hill’s location could be the only problem but if you do not insist...

The hotel is located on a mountain, offering stunning views. However, it would be quite inconvenient if you don't have a car. The room has its own hot spring bath and a balcony, providing a quiet and comfortable environment.
Great services, great accommodation
The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, so it's more convenient if you're driving. We booked breakfast and dinner, and the food was absolutely amazing; you definitely have to try it if you stay here. My favorite part was the private hot spring in the room. I'd come back again if I get the chance.
The location is pretty good because it’s private. It’s suit for guest comes with the car. About 15 mins drive to downtown.
The room was big with private onsen, clean and simple.
The facility is only the public onsen, which is indoor with no view. The breakfast is quite basic, the taste could be more outstanding.
I stayed here in 2024 and had a great experience! This time, however, it was a bit disappointing. The facilities are starting to show their age. The food quality is excellent (half-board with dinner and breakfast). The private onsen in the room is definitely a highlight.
Overall a great place to stay; excellent food, beautiful architecture, nice views, private onsen in room. Some suggestions on what we would have liked: more pillows, thicker towels, some welcome snacks

The dinner is perfect specially the wagyu beef. The breakfast is so so. The staffs are very friendly.
The in-room bidet toilet could not spit out water, and it never gotten fixed for my 2 day’s staying.
This guesthouse is truly an idyllic escape! After getting off the bus at the final stop, Google Maps still indicated a 400-500 meter walk. The uphill trek along a secluded path felt like a journey of transformation, preparing us for something special. As soon as we opened the door to our room, we knew it was worth every step. The wonderfully homey atmosphere instantly made us forget the fatigue from...
You can take bus 73 from Saga JR Bus Station all the way to the final stop. Suginoya is visible halfway up the mountain right after you alight. You can call the ryokan for a pick-up service, as the path up the mountain is very steep and walking would be challenging.

It’s an absolute bliss to stay in Suginoya, a luxurious ryokan in Saga. Our saga beef sukiyaki dinner was truly memorable as the quality of the meat was top notch- so soft yet flavorful, something we will remember for a long time. We enjoyed relaxing in the private and public bath, soaking in the zen vibes of the hotel and lounging in the spacious and comfortable room. Staff was friendly and tried...
The hotel is located on a hillside, so it's a bit of a trek from the bus stop if you're carrying luggage. The outdoor hot springs have been renovated, but men no longer have access to an outdoor spring. On the positive side, the service was excellent, and the overall ambiance was great.

The hotel is tucked in a quiet part of the town but it's conveient because of the pick up service. Overall, it was fine but a bit pricy for the food the hotel provided. Not value for money as the ingredients of food were basic and the price they charged were fairly high. Will not return again.
A very relaxing place and if you need a peaceful and restful holiday, I would recommend this place. They are away from busy shopping or town so you practically just relax while you there and enjoy the hot spring.
It is a relaxing experience in the hotel. All staff showed true hospitality of a quality hotel. Will recommend friends to visit later
We arrived a bit early this time, but the hotel insisted on an extra charge for early check-in. While the facilities are quite new, the layout isn't great. The sauna's showers are inconvenient, requiring an elevator ride to another floor. The staff's service attitude wasn't very good.
The hot spring temperature was just right, making it easy to get in, and it was great to be able to relax in the in-room bath!
The room was also incredibly clean and stylish, and most importantly, spacious!
It was also very practical and simply standard!
The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were both visually stunning and delicious♪
Since my only option for a relaxing trip was to enjoy a hot spring...

The inn staff were very kind and helpful. The hot spring water was excellent. I was able to relax and unwind. It was great to see Mount Yufu from my room.
The hotel offers a convenient pick-up service from the train station. It's a very tranquil place, perfect for a relaxing getaway.
We came with our parents and had a fantastic time, enjoying both the hot springs and the delicious meals.
The overall style is very retro, with the flavor of a traditional Japanese hot spring hotel. The hotel staff speaks good English and can communicate in English. When you arrive at the Honin Station, you can call the hotel for pick-up, which is very convenient.

Omura isn't a big city, but I was there for nine days on a business trip. This hotel was clean and comfortable, with a bath. While not close to the station, there are ramen and sushi restaurants nearby. A large supermarket, Donki, is a 15-20 minute walk away.
I liked the hospitality of the staff and their willingness to assist you.
Overall it was good, except the walls were thin and I could hear the neighbors snoring.
My stay was absolutely fantastic and the staff very helpful. They helped me book my taxi and recommended a fantastic sushi restaurant down the road. It is quite close to the airport..only a 10 minute drive.

Good service, delicious food, convenient location
location is not ideal without personal transport, have to arrange private pick up or taxi from train station. Room has private onsen but it's not comfortable or inviting as it's a bath tub... not your typical outdoor- pool like tub , so a little disappointing.
food was well presented and tasty. Nothing to offer in the neighbourhood.... so practically, sleep, bath and depart
The hotel location is chosen to be less beautiful on the residential side, the room lighting and layout is darker and old not beautiful enough, one night two meals is very good, if you can bring your own alcoholic beverages is even better, service attitude is good but can still have greater room for improvement,
The hotel offers a shuttle service to Beppu Station, which must be booked two days in advance. Do not follow the directions to Beppu University, otherwise you'll waste an hour traveling just one stop. The hotel is located between Beppu University Station and Beppu Station. It's 3 kilometers from various hellish tourist spots and 1.6 kilometers from Kourō Onsen (Gourd Hot Spring), both within walking...
Having a private onsen in your room is awesome! But the hotel itself is in dire need of renovation. The floors in the room are scuffed. The wallpaper in the hallway is peeling. And the shower glass is caked with film. This can definitely be cleaned, but alas. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, but very long. Dinner lasts about two hours, with very long breaks between courses.
Unfortunately the room was super moldy and it was ruining the experience. We stayed there for two days. The first day, the dinner was delicious and so was the breakfast but the second day, the food was not as great and the breakfast was served as a Western style, was much less in portion compared to the first day.
It was still nice to have Onsen in your room. But it comes with a price.

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days on our honeymoon.
The private beach was so beautiful that we visited many times.
Renting the entire building with its attached gazebo was very luxurious.
We tried morning yoga on the terrace and had a wonderful time.
The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly, so we felt at ease.
With only six buildings, we rarely met anyone, which I think is a big attraction
I love Irabu Island, so I stayed in a villa here this time.
The castella cake that came with the welcome drink was delicious. There's also a private beach, and when I went there in the morning, there was no one there and the atmosphere was great.
One day during my stay, I had plans in the morning, so I asked about breakfast and was able to change it to brunch.

We felt it lacked safety as it’s accessible from the streets easily with no gates etc. The food was great. Barbeque is especially of good value and reccommended. The service was personal and warm
Our stay at VILLABU Resort was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable experience. One of the best hotels on Ishigaki Island, with large rooms.
I'm from the countryside, so I should have been used to it, but when I checked in, there was a huge spider in front of the entrance, a small spider in the entrance as soon as I entered the room, and a tiny gecko in the living room at the back...
I was so sorry, but I immediately called the front desk and asked if there was a staff member who could do something about the gecko...and they took me there...
I was absolutely delighted with my stay at this hotel! 👍
The hotel staff was very nice and even helped with restaurant reservations. If there were any communication issues, they could easily communicate with them using their mobile phone translator!
The room was huge, big enough for kids to play hide-and-seek! 🐱
There was also a washing machine, which was convenient for drying clothes on the balcony...
The room was so spacious that we had more than enough space, and the interior was beautiful everywhere.
The view from the balcony was amazing, and gazing out at the sea and sky in the morning was truly relaxing.
The breakfast, which came with a choice of four dishes - Japanese, Western, French toast, or acai bowl - was also excellent. Our family and I are already talking about coming back and eating...

Excellent stay in this hotel and staff is very helpful. Room is clean and looks recently renovated. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and filling; outdoor onsen was not crowded. Felt relaxed during my stay here 😄
Especially grateful to Mr Inoue, who was a great help in sorting out my booking issue. Great hospitality!
The service was great, but the facilities were lacking. The food was terrible; the kaiseki dinner was a 1-star at best. As a retiree who travels to Japan monthly, this was the worst food I've ever had at a Japanese hotel. Even the onsen wasn't as fantastic as people claim. However, Unzen is a lovely town with a charming rustic feel.
The dinner was well-seasoned, well-balanced, and plentiful, so I was very satisfied. It had been a while since I'd last enjoyed the hot springs, and they were as great as the reviews said.
The hot springs are fantastic, and the hotel is truly excellent value for money. The only downside is its location on the outskirts of town. However, if you're here for relaxation, you won't need to leave often, so this is truly the best ryokan.
It was my first time at Unzen Onsen! It's a little far from Unzen Jigoku, but it was a lovely inn surrounded by greenery. I visited for the first time in a day trip bath this time, but I think it's a good hot spring.
When I open the door of the men's bath, I feel the smell of sulfur.

Great service, huge room with a pleasant view of the garden, and a big spa.
The room was large and I was healed by the lush landscape seen from the window.
I personally like the atmosphere of the building, which is somewhat relaxed.
The hot springs were spacious and had a nice atmosphere, and it was nice to have a TV in the sauna.
I was very satisfied with the restaurant that was attached to the restaurant because it was delicious no matter what I ate and the price was reasonable...
